RACE DAY REPORTS

RAILS WERE PLACED AT THE ORIGINAL POINT

On a request from Trainer S.S.Attaollahi, permission was granted to Trainer P.Shroff to saddle his charge AMAZING CHARM in the 8^th race, at his (Trainer S.S.Attaollahi’s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO.1(52) – THE YAWAR RASHID TROPHY: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 7

WARLOCK (Dashrath Singh) was observed to have dropped his hands before passing the winning post Jockey Dashrath Singh was reminded of the Calendar Notification that all horses must be ridden past the post and he has been cautioned for the same.

After the race Jockeys A.Sandesh (STAR COMRADE) and Suraj Narredu (IMITATION GAME) informed that their mounts ran green during the race.

After the race, STAR COMRADE was found to be sound.

RACE NO.2(53) – THE SETH RAMNATH DAGA TROPHY : (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 5

After being stalled, PAPAKURA (T.S.Jodha) rushed the front gate and bolted riderless and was caught after 200 metres. The gelding was examined by the Club’s V.O. who certified him fit to race.

Passing 200 metres, APACHE (P.Trevor) was observed to have hung out. Trainer P.Shroff has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

After the race, APACHE was found to be sound. PAPAKURA had a gum injury.

RACE NO.3(54) – THE G2 GOLD CUP (DIV.I) : (About) 1200 Metres – Runners – 13

DENNY CRANE (Akshay) and JANITZA (S.S.Rathore) were restless in the stall and not allowing the riders to settle. CENTAURUS (App.N.B.Kuldeep) jumped out throwing its head and veered towards the outside. Trainers P.Shroff, Nosher Cama and Sangramsinh N.Joshi have been asked to give their respective charge more gate practice and show them to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

Soon after the start, VENI VIDI VICI (Amyn Merchant, dr.4) shifted out and made contact with EXCELONCE (A.Sandesh, dr.5). Jockey Amyn Merchant has been cautioned.

After the race, DAYTONA was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

After the race, TURF DANCER was observed to have a cut injury at the right hind fetlock and THE MAGICIAN had a gum injury. CENTAURUS, WINDS OF CHANGE and VENI VIDI VICI (examined on 14/12/2015) were found to be sound.

RACE NO.4(55) – THE FAIZ JASDANWALLA TROPHY: (About) 1000 Metres – Runners - 8

An objection was lodged by App.Bhawani Singh rider of FLASHY WINGS (Placed Second) against FABIO (App.S.J.Sunil, Placed First). The reason being, in the last 150 metres FABIO drifted out and took his ground, thereby taking his filly out and the verdict being a neck, this had cost him the race.

After considering the submissions made by the Jockeys concerned who were accompanied by their Trainers, in conjunction with that of the Stipendiary Stewards and relying on their judgement, the Stewards decided to over-rule the objection.

Turning for home, FABIO (App.S.J.Sunil) shifted out on to GOOD THING (Suraj Narredu), forcing the latter to check his mount. On questioning, App.S.J.Sunil stated that his mount shied and went on to GOOD THING.

Approaching 400 metres, FABIO (App.S.J.Sunil) was observed to have shifted out on to STAR COUNCILLOR (A.Sandesh) forcing the latter to check and drop back.

After the race, Jockey A.Sandesh (STAR COUNCILLOR) reported that his mount hung out throughout the race, more so in the straight. Trainer Karthik G. has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

After the race, Jockey P.S.Chouhan (VOULEZ VOUS) reported that his mount was inclined to go out in the straight.

After the race, STAR COUNCILLOR was found to be sound.

RACE NO.5(56) – THE MAHARASHTRA, GUJARAT & GOA AREA TROPHY: (About) 2000 Metres – Runners - 9

Trainer S.S.Shah has been fined Rs.1,000/- for bringing his charge UNICO CORAZON (S.Mosin) into the paddock without a Tongue Strap. The same was put on the filly before she left the paddock.

Passing 1600 Metres, JOSS (Dashrath Singh) shifted in on to OREIUS (C.Alford). On questioning, Jockey Dashrath Singh stated that in an effort to settle his mount, he had shifted in.

Turning for home, JORDANA (App.Yash Narredu) shifted in and went across UNICO CORAZON (S.Mosin), forcing the latter to check and drop back. App.Yash Narredu has been fined Rs.3,000/-.

Passing 300 metres, JOSS (Dashrath Singh) shifted out and made contact with SAVAGE GARDEN (A.Sandesh). Jockey Dashrath Singh has been cautioned.

After the race, Jockey R.Vaibhav (VITESSE) reported that he was inconvenienced in the straight due to UNICO CORAZON (S.Mosin) shifting out on to him.

After the race, Jockey S.Mosin (UNICO CORAZON) reported that his mount hung out in the straight. Trainer S.S.Shah has been advised to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

After the race, App.D.R.Shubham (BLAVATSKY) reported that his mount hung out in the straight. Trainer C.D.Katrak has been advised to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

After the race, App.Yash Narredu (JORDANA) reported that approaching the 200 metres he had to steady his mount while racing between UNCLE SCROOGE (P.Trevor) and LAVENDER BLUE (Suraj Narredu).

After the race, UNCLE SCROOGE, UNICO CORAZON and BLAVATSKY (examined on 14/12/2015) were found to be sound.

RACE NO.6(57) – THE HINDU TROPHY: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 12

GODSENT (Suraj Narredu) was reluctant to reach the starting point. Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

RUNNING WILD (R.Vaibhav) jumped out slow, losing about 3 lengths at the start.

Approaching 900 metres, THE CHAMP (P.Trevor) shifted in and at the same point SILVER GHOST (J.Chinoy) shifted out, thereby forcing SANSA (App.Yash Narredu), who was racing between the two, to check and drop back.

After the race, Jockey Suraj Narredu (GODSENT) reported that his mount hung in throughout the race. Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha has been advised to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

After the race, Jockey A.Sandesh (PEARL SECRET) reported that his mount hung out in the straight. To a specific question, Jockey A.Sandesh stated that when he wanted to use the whip in the straight, his mount hung out and the horse on his outside was in close proximity, therefore, he chose to ride out hands and heels. Trainer Karthik.G has been advised to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

After the race, GODSENT and PEARL SECRET were found to be sound.

RACE NO.7(58)– THE M.N.NAZIR TROPHY: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 10

BON VIVANT (D.K.Ashish) was fractious and refused to be stalled. As such, the filly was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s order. LANCELOT (Akash Agarwal) and FAST LADY (Suraj Narredu) were reluctant to be stalled.

Trainers P.Shroff, Faisal A.Abbas and Imtiaz A.Sait have been asked to give their respective charge more gate practice and show them to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

Passing 300 metres, SHANIA (App.S.J.Sunil) shifted out on to FAST LADY (Suraj Narredu). App.S.J.Sunil has been cautioned.

App.N.B.Kuldeep (LOGANO) reported that his mount hung out from 800 metres. Trainer Sangramsinh N.Joshi has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

An enquiry has been initiated in to the running and riding of IRIDESCENCE and a report will be submitted shortly.

After the race, IRIDESCENCE, LANCELOT, NIRBHAYA and LOGANO were found to be sound.

RACE NO.8(59)–THE EAT INDIA COMPANY INDIAN 1000 GUINEAS (GR.1):(About) 1600 Metres– Runners - 14

At the start, AMAZING CHARM (P.Trevor, dr.11) shifted in and went across the field before passing the Red Marker. Jockey P.Trevor has been fined Rs.3,000/-.

ETERNAL FLAME (A.Sandesh) shifted in soon after the start and went on to MYRTLEWOOD (P.S.Chouhan), who in turn went on to SWEEPING STAR (App.Yash Narredu), who was forced to check his mount. Jockey A.Sandesh has been cautioned.

After the race, VICTORIA HARBOUR was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

After the race, JEANNINE was found to be sound.

AVANTE GARDE (Neeraj Rawal) was placed fifth and SWEEPING STAR (App.Yash Narredu) was placed sixth by the Judge, in this race.

RACE NO.9(60)– THE G2 GOLD CUP (DIV.II): (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 13

At the start, ICE AFFAIR (App.N.Nadeem, dr.9) shifted in, as a result AVAKRAZ (Dashrath Singh, dr.8) was tightened for room and dropped back.

At the start, CARIBBEAN LEGEND (J.Chinoy, dr.11) shifted in and made contact with SIDDHI (P.Trevor, dr.10).

At the start, WIZARD OF ODDS (Amyn Merchant, dr.13) jumped out awkwardly.

Turning for home, JEZEBEL (App.H.Zeeshan) shifted in on to DECIBELL (App.S.J.Sunil), forcing the latter to check. Apprentice H.Zeeshan has been cautioned.

Passing 300 metres, DECIBELL (App.S.J.Sunil) was observed to have shifted out in an effort to get a clear run.

After the race, App.N.B.Kuldeep (ESPADA) reported that his mount stumbled at the start.

After the race, Jockey Dashrath Singh (AVAKRAZ) reported that passing 150 metres, DECIBELL (App.S.J.Sunil) shifted out in front of him due to which he had to steady his mount.

The Sr.V.O. reported that AVAKRAZ was examined at the stables in the morning on 14/12/2015 and found to be sore by the right fore leg. Also, the gelding had an abrasion at the right fore fetlock . The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

The Sr.V.O. reported that ESPADA was examined at the stables in the morning on 14/12/2015 and found to be sound.

The post race urine sample of the winners of all races viz. ARAK (1^st race), APACHE (2^nd race), DENNY CRANE (3^rd race), FABIO (4^th race), JOSS (5^th race), THE CHAMP (6^th race), FAST LADY (7^th race), MYRTLEWOOD (8^th race) and SIDDHI (9^th race), as also that of STAR FORMATION, JEANNINE and SOLANGE (8^th race), and the special sample of DAYTONA (3^rd race), STAR COUNCILLOR (4^th race), IRIDESCENCE (7^th race) and VICTORIA HARBOUR (8^th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.

ADDITIONAL REPORT :

RE : OBJECTION IN RACE NO.46 – THE SNOW DEW PLATE (DIV.I) RUN ON 10^TH DECEMBER, 2015 – JOCKEY SHRIKANT KAMBLE, RIDER OF “CUT DIAMOND” – CARELESS RIDING :

The Stewards of the Club at their meeting held on Sunday, 13^th December, 2015 directed the Stipendiary Stewards to deal in the above matter.

Accordingly, the Stipendiary Stewards decided to suspend Jockey Shrikant Kamble’s license for 31^st December, 2015 for careless riding on his mount CUT DIAMOND in Race No.46 . In that, passing 150 metres, CUT DIAMOND shifted out under the use of whip and made contact with GOOD MEMORY (S.Mosin) and thereafter Jockey Shrikant Kamble persisted to use the whip from the right despite his mount shifting out. (permitted to ride work/mock race).
