RACE NO.1(212) – THE F.A. & K.A. IRANI TROPHY : (About) 1200 Metres – 8 Runners

 

In the early part of the race, HAWAIIAN PRINCESS (P.Kamlesh) shifted in as the filly was being steadied and made contact with WINGS Of GLORY (C.S.Jodha) on a few occasions. Jockey P.Kamlesh has been cautioned.

 

Near 1000 metres, EMERALD VALLEY (J.Chinoy) was steadied due to tightening of the field.

 

Approaching 600 meters HAWAIIAN PRINCESS (P.Kamlesh) shifted in, due to which MABLE (Suraj Narredu) was steadied and in turn went on to DICTATOR (N.S.Parmar) who was steadied. Jockey P.Kamlesh has been advised to be more careful.

The Sr.V.O. reported that at the request of Trainer Mansoor Shah, WINGS OF GLORY  was scoped at the Equine Hospital after the race and found to have suffered EIPH (Gr.III). The gelding is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks and has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, EMERALD VALLEY and WINGS OF GLORY were found to be sound

 

RACE NO.2(213) – THE  PUNE POLICE COMMISSIONER’S TROPHY(DIV.I): (About) 1000 Metres – 10 Runners

 

Jockey P.S.Chouhan (EMPEROR OF FRANCE) has been cautioned for shifting in before the Red Marker.

 

After the race,  ALBUURZ was observed to have a cut injury at the lower lip.

 

RACE NO.3(214) – THE  VINAYAK TROPHY (DIV.II): (About) 1400 Metres – 8 Runners

                                      

FIRST AND ONLY ONE (A.Sandesh) was restless in the stall and not allowing the rider to settle. Trainer Altaf Hussain has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.  

 

After the race, FIRST AND ONLY ONE and PENNY LANE were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.4(215) – THE KEENELAND JUVENILE FILLIES’ MILLION: (About) 1200 Metres – 6 Runners

 

An enquiry has been initiated into the interference caused by ULTRASONIC (Y.S.Srinath) at the start and a report will be submitted shortly.

 

After the race, ULTRASONIC and ANALEAH were found to be sound.

 

REKINDLE (B.Sreekanth) was placed fifth and ULTRASONIC (Y.S.Srinath) was placed sixth by the Judge, in this race.

 

RACE NO.5(216)  – THE  VOLKSWAGEN INDIA TROPHY: (About) 2400 Metres – 6 Runners

 

At the request of Trainer Narendra Lagad, DANSE DEBONAIRE was examined at 1145 hours on 12/10/2013 and found to have fever, as such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds. The Trainer is required to obtain a Fitness Certificate for the gelding before next accepting to race. 

 

Jockey Y.S.Srinath (RAZEENAA) has been fined Rs 1,000/- for using the whip in excess to the prescribed limit on his mount.

After the race, KAIZER and SAVAGE GARDEN were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.6(217) – THE  NOSHIR & DOLLY DHUNJIBHOY SPRINT MILLION:                                                                                                                                   (About) 1200 Metres – 8 Runners

 

An objection was lodged by Jockey Imran Chisty, rider of AMADEUS (Placed Third) against YUVILLE (Neeraj Rawal, Placed Second). The reason being, in the final 150 to 100 metres, YUVILLE (Neeraj Rawal) moved out from the rails when he tried to make his move from his outside. Thereafter, when he shifted in to make his move along the rails, YUVILLE shifted in and took his ground and bumped his horse causing him to stop riding and unbalancing his horse, which cost him a certain race.

After considering the submissions made by the Jockeys concerned, in conjunction with that of the Stipendiary Stewards  and relying on their judgment, the Stewards upheld the objection and revised the order of placing of the race as under :-

 

STAR TRAINER                   -        First;            YUVILLE        -        Third;

AMADEUS                -        Second;         NEFYN          -        Fourth

 

After the race, STAR TRAINER and YUVILLE (examined on 14/10/2013) were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.7(218) – THE  NANOLI STUD PUNE DERBY (GR.I): (About) 2000 Metres – 12 Runners

 

Near 900 meters CELTIC KING (P.Kamlesh) shifted in and at the same time FALCON (Suraj Narredu) shifted out and made contact with each other.

 

Approaching 600 meters, CACTUS CASH (R.Vaibhav) weakened, as a result TRANCE (Y.S.Srinath) who was following, was steadied.

 

Near 600 meters, CIRCLE OF LIFE (Imran Chisty) ducked out and caused interference to TRANCE (Y.S.Srinath).

 

Approaching 400 meters, CIRCLE OF LIFE (Imran Chisty) shifted in and caused interference to WAR HORSE (C.S.Jodha). Jockey Imran Chisty has been fined Rs 3,000/-.

 

Jockey P.Kamlesh (CELTIC KING) has been fined Rs 3,000/- for using the whip in excess to the prescribed limit on his mount.

 

Jockey S.Zervan (JEREMIAH) reported that his mount lugged-in in the straight. Trainer P.Shroff has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

After the race, JEREMIAH was observed to have a cut injury at the left fore cannon.  CACTUS CASH, KALLU MAMA, WAR HORSE, CIRCLE OF LIFE and TRANCE were found to be sound.

 

MAJESTIC REWARD (P.Trevor) was placed fifth and FALCON (Suraj Narredu) was placed sixth by the Judge, in this race.

 

RACE NO.8(219) – THE  VINAYAK TROPHY (DIV.I): (About) 1400 Metres – 8 Runners

 

After the race, CONCORDE was observed to have broken a blood vessel and was also sore by the right fore leg. The colt is not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks and has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, GHANGHORR was observed to have a gum injury.

 

RACE NO.9(220) – THE  PUNE POLICE COMMISSIONER’S TROPHY (DIV.II): About) 1000 Metres –8 Runners

 

GRAND MARCH (App.B.Nikhil) behaved unruly and refused to be stalled, as such, the gelding was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s Order. Trainer Rehanullah Khan has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, DREAMLAND was observed to have a cut injury at the left hind cannon.
