RACE DAY REPORTS

 

RAILS WERE PLACED AT ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1400 METRES (MILE CHUTE)  LEADING TO 3 METRES AWAY AT 1200 METRES, 5 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES, 7 METRES AWAY AT 800 METRES AND THEREAFTER 8 METRES AWAY UPTO THE WINNING POST.

 

FOR THE RACES STARTING FROM THE BACK STRETCH RAILS WERE PLACED AT ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1400 METRES LEADING TO 3 METRES AWAY AT 1200 METRES AND 5 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES.

 

RACE NO.1(119) – THE AZZURRO PLATE: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners -  9

 

At the start, REDIFINED (K. Nazil, dr.7) jumped outwards onto TARZAN (P. S. Chouhan, dr.8).

 

Soon after the start, RODRIGO (Neeraj Rawal) shifted in and went across SINNER (S. Antony Raj) causing the later to check and drop back. Jockey Neeraj Rawal has been cautioned.

 

Passing the 1100 metres, SINNER (Antony Raj S.) shifted in thereby tightening and inconveniencing MYSTICAL ROSE (Yash Narredu) who had to be steadied. Jockey Antony Raj S. has been cautioned.

 

Approaching the 400 metres, REDIFINED (K. Nazil) leaned outwards onto MYSTICAL ROSE (Yash Narredu) who in turn shifted onto ORCHIDS (C. S. Jodha). Jockey K Nazil has been cautioned.

 

After the race, MYSTICAL ROSE had a gum injury and RODRIGO lost left fore shoe.

 

RACE NO.2(120) –  THE R. N. KANGA TROPHY: (About) 1600 Metres – Runners -  6

 

At the start, NORTH STAR (P. S. Chouhan, dr.2) jumped outwards and made contact with GRAND ACCORD (Bhawani Singh, dr.3).

 

In the final stages of the race, FLYING VISIT (Antony Raj S.) shifted in due to which VICTORIOUS SERMON (K. Nazil) and NORTH STAR (P. S. Chouhan) had to be steadied. After the race, Jockey Antony Raj S. reported that his mount hung-in despite his efforts. As such, Trainer Imtiaz A. Sait has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

 

RACE NO.3(121) – THE JAYARAMDAS PATEL GOLD TROPHY: (About) 2000 Metres – Runners -  6

 

After the race, Jockey Antony Raj S. (JUBILANT JOURNEY) reported that approaching the 300 metres his reins had slipped momentarily due to which he lost his whip. The Stipendiary Stewards will be looking into the running and riding of JUBILANT JOURNEY and the report will be submitted shortly.

 

After the race, POWER OF THOR was trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.4(122) – THE C. N. WADIA GOLD CUP (GRADE 2): (About) 2400 Metres –Runners- 3

 

The Stipendiary Stewards will be looking into the running patterns of TRULY EPIC (C. S. Jodha) and CAPRISCA (Antony Raj S.) during the current Mumbai Meeting and the reports will be submitted shortly.

 

RACE NO.5(123) – THE ALDEBURGH PLATE: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners -  6

 

At the request of Trainer M. Narredu, JERUSALEM was examined in the stable area at 07.30 p.m. on 11/3/2022 and was found to have fever, the gelding was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds and has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

 

On the arrival at the start, at the request of Jockey Neeraj Rawal the saddle on his mount KIMIKO was readjusted.

 

After being stalled, DRAGONLORD (App. P. S. Kaviraj, dr.1) started lashing out. The colt was taken out and examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. who certified him fit to race. In view of above, Trainer P. Shroff has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the colt to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

MALACHITE (App. Kirtish Bhagat, dr.6) jumped out slowly losing about a length at the start.

 

Approaching the 1300 metres, KIMIKO (Neeraj Rawal) shied and carried MALACHITE (App. Kirtish Bhagat) outwards.

 

Passing the 350 Metres, WHATSINANAME (N. S. Parmar) shifted out and carried KIMIKO (Neeraj Rawal) outwards thereafter passing the 250 metres WHATSINANAME (N. S. Parmar) shifted out and went across KIMIKO (Neeraj Rawal). After the race, Jockey N. S. Parmar reported that his mount hung-out despite his efforts. Trainer Asad Siddiqui has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

 

Approaching the 250 Metres, in the process of using the whip App. Kirtish Bhagat rider of MALACHITE lost his reins momentarily. As such App Kirtish Bhagat has been cautioned.

 

After the race, DRAGONLORD had a cut injury on right hind fetlock and bruise on right hock.

 

RACE NO.6(124) – THE DR. I. C. NAGREE TROPHY: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 7

 

At the start, BABY BAZOOKA (K. Nazil, dr.6) took an awkward fly jump at the same time RED MERLOT (App. A. K. Aniket, dr.5) jumped outwards thereby forcing BABY BAZOOKA (K. Nazil, dr.6) outwards onto EXCELLENT GOLD (N. B. Kuldeep, dr.7) who was marginally slow to begin.

 

BABY BAZOOKA (K. Nazil) was observed to have maintained an erratic course throughout the race.

 

The Stipendiary Stewards will be looking into the running and riding of BABY BAZOOKA (K. Nazil) and the report will be submitted shortly.

 

After the race, EXCELLENT GOLD and BABY BAZOOKA were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.7(125) – THE FLAREON PLATE: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners -  13

 

SPIRITUAL ROCK (App. P. S. Kaviraj, dr.2) and CANDESCENT STAR (H. Zeeshan, dr.9) jumped out slowly losing about 3 and 2 lengths at the start respectively,

 

CAMPAIGN (M. Ayyar, dr.13) jumped inwards onto ALLIED ATTACK (App. P. Shinde, dr.12) who was slow to begin.

 

Soon after the start, SUPREME BEING (K. Nazil) leaned outwards and made contact with BAKU (Antony Raj S.) thereafter BAKU shifted in and went across SUPREME BEING (K. Nazil) who had to be steadied. Jockey Antony Raj S. has been cautioned.

 

After the race, App. P. Vinod reported that his mount COUNT THE WINS hung-in in the straight. Trainer Imtiaz A. Sait has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

 

Passing the 450 metres, App. P. Shinde rider of ALLIED ATTACK lost his reins momentarily. As such, App. P. Shinde has been cautioned.

 

In the final stages of the race, EXPLORER (App. A. S. Peter) shifted in due to which CANDESCENT STAR (H. Zeeshan) who was racing on his haunches had to be steadied App. A. S. Peter has been cautioned.

 

After the race, COUNT THE WINS was trotted and found to be sound.

The urine samples of the FLYING VISIT (Winner – 2nd race), PARISIAN (Winner – 4th race), CAPRISCA (2nd place – 4th race), SNOWFALL (Winner – 5th race), NOTHING TO WORRY (Winner – 6th race), and the special samples of BABY BAZOOKA (6th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
