RACE DAY REPORTS
RAILS WERE PLACED 2 METRES AWAY FROM ITS ORIGINAL POINT AT 1300 METRES, 4 METRES AWAY AT 1200 METRES, 6 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES, 7.5 METRES AWAY AT 800 METRES , 9 METRES AWAY AT 600 METRES AND THEREAFTER 10 METRES AWAY UP TO THE WINNING POST. RAILS WERE ALSO PLACED 3.5 METRES WIDE IN THE CHUTE.
RACE NO.1(127) – THE SIR SULTAN CHINOY TROPHY (DIV.II) : (About) 1400 Metres – 9 Runners
WILSHIRE (S. G. Prasad) planted and thereafter whipped around after the start and took no part in the race.
Trainer Vinesh has been fined Rs. 2,000/- for not parading his charge SUAREZ in the paddock before being led to the start.
WILSHIRE (S. G. Prasad, dr.9) planted and thereafter whipped around taking no part in the race. In view of this behavior of the gelding, Trainer Vijay Kasbekar has been asked to show his charge in a Mock Race to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards, before next accepting to race.
At the start, BEEMER (Amyn Merchant, dr.5) jumped outwards and made contact with PSYCHIC FIRE (App. K. Nazil, dr.6).
Soon after the start, due to a tightly packed field SUAREZ (App. A. S. Peter, dr.7) leaned inwards on to BEEMER (Amyn Merchant, dr.5) causing it to shift in thereby tightening PRINCIPESSA (S. A. Amit, dr.2) who had to be checked.
After the race, Jockey Akshay Gaikwad (DASHING IMAGE) reported the loss of whip passing the 450 metres, the Stipendiary Stewards will be looking into this incident and submit a report shortly.
After the race, SAUREZ was trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.2(128) – THE N.K.PUDUMJEE TROPHY : (About) 1600 Metres – 7 Runners
On the arrival at the start Jockey K. Nazil informed that the reins on his mount AIR MAX were wrongly tied, as such they were removed and retied.
At the start, AIRMAX (App. K. Nazil, dr.2) jumped outwards on to WALK THE TALK (Imran Chisty, dr.3) who in turn shifted out on to MONK (A. Imran Khan, dr.4) at the same time TRANSLATOR (Yash Narredu, dr.5) shifted in due to which AIRMAX and MONK were tightened.
After the race, MONK was observed to have an abrasion at the left eyebrow. AIRMAX and SEHMAT were found to be sound in the trot.
RACE NO.3(129) – THE SIR SULTAN CHINOY TROPHY (DIV.I) : (About) 1400 Metres – 9 Runners
GALLOPING GOLDMINE (C. S. Jodha) played up and put both his fore legs on the front gates. The gelding was taken out and was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. who certified him fit to race. Thereafter, GALLOPING GOLDMINE refused to be stalled despite substantial efforts, hence, the gelding was withdrawn before coming under starter’s order. Trainer S. K. Sunderji has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
AQUARIUS (N. S. Parmar) jumped out slow losing about a length at the start.
Soon after the start, ANGELS HARMONY (Akshay Gaikwad, dr.8) jumped outwards and went across AQUARIUS (N. S. Parmar, dr.9) who was marginally slow to begin and thereafter further shifted out carrying DREAMS (A. Imran Khan, dr.10) outwards.
Passing the 1100 metres, DREAMS (A. Imran Khan) shifted in and went across SUPER MARIO (Neeraj Rawal) causing it to be checked. After questioning Jockey A. Imran Khan has been fined Rs.3,000/-.
SASKATCHEWAN (Kishore Kadam) was observed to have trailed the field. In view of the same, Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.
The saddle used on SUPER MARIO (Neeraj Rawal) was observed to have slipped during the race as such the jockey could not ride out his mount to its complete advantage. Further after the race Jockey Neeraj Rawal reported that his mount hung-in throughout the race despite his efforts. Trainer Shazaan Shah has been fined Rs.2,000/- for faulty saddling of his charge and he has been asked to show his charge in a Mock Race to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards, before next accepting to race.
After the race, RED CARNATION was trotted and found to be sound. DREAMS had a gum injury.
RACE NO.4(130) – THE PRUDENTIAL CHAMP TROPHY: (About) 1000 Metres – 7 Runners
On the way to the start, STAR SINCERITY dislodged its rider and bolted off towards the starting point. The filly was apprehended at the starting point and was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. who certified her fit to race.
Passing the 900 metres, BENGHAZI (S. Zervan) shifted in and went across FLAMEOFTHEFOREST (Yash Narredu) who had to be checked.
Passing the 200 metres, Jockey Amyn Merchant (ASHWA CHINTZ) was observed to have lost contact with his reins as the same had slipped however he regained the same soon thereafter. Jockey Amyn Merchant has been asked to be more careful in the future.
Jockey A. Sandesh (MAJOR GENERAL) has been fined Rs. 3,000/- for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit.
After the race, Jockey Amyn Merchant (ASHWA CHINTZ) reported that his mount hung out from 500 metres onwards and thereafter was running green. This being the colt’s first run no action has been initiated.
After the race, Jockey Suraj Narredu (QUEENSHIP) reported that his mount was running green throughout the race.
RACE NO.5(131) – THE PICCOLINA PLATE : (About) 1000 Metres – 11 Runners
At the request of Trainer Adil Dajee, CHAPLIN was examined at 1000 hours on 12/10/2019 and was found to be sore by the right fore leg, as such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
After being stalled SEA QUEST reared up and flipped over in the stall. As such the gelding was taken out and was withdrawn before coming under Starter’s order. In view of the same, it is recommended that SEA QUEST be given more gate practice and to be shown to the satisfaction of the Starter before next accepting to race.
At the start, ADELE (N. S. Parmar, dr.3) jumped out awkwardly throwing its head.
Passing the 250 metres, FRIEZE (Akshay Gaikwad) shifted in thereby inconveniencing SHIVALIK QUEEN (Amyn Merchant). Jockey Akshay Gaikwad has been cautioned.
Approaching the 150 metres, ADELE (N. S. Parmar) shifted out thereby tightening and inconveniencing SHIVALIK QUEEN (Amyn Merchant). Jockey N. S. Parmar has been cautioned.
Approaching the 100 metres, IMPALA (Dashrath Singh) shifted in thereby tightening BONAFIDE (App. A. S. Peter) along the rails. After the race, Jockey Dashrath Singh reported that his mount hung in despite his efforts and also in his effort to change his whip hand the whip had slipped out of his hand. This being his first instance, no action has been initiated. However, Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures.
Approaching the 100 metres, NAMAQUA (A. Sandesh) was observed to have shied inwards despite the riders efforts.
After the race, NAMAQUA, WILD FIRE and SHIVALIK QUEEN were trotted and found to be sound. NAMAQUA had an abrasion at the left hind fetlock and FRIEZE had a clip injury at the left hind both bulb of heel.
RACE NO.6(132) – THE ASHWAMEDHA PLATE: (About) 1600 Metres – 12 Runners
At the request of the owner, CRISTO
BOSS was withdrawn on compassionate grounds.
IMPERIAL HERITAGE jumped out slowly losing about 6 lengths at the start. In view of above, it is recommended the gelding be given more gate practice and to be shown to the Starter before next accepting to race.
At the start, PILATUS (Shrikant Kamble, dr.2) jumped inwards and made contact with REGAL SHOT (Bhawani Singh, dr. 1).
After the race, PATRIOTS DAY was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
After the race, GOLD MAGIC was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
RACE NO.7(133) – THE SURESH MAHINDRA TROPHY: (About) 3200 Metres – 4 Runners

ERATUM
RACE NO.121 – THE CHEF D’OEUVRE PLATE RUN ON 6th OCTOBER, 2019 :
Jockey Yash Narredu (HIS MASTER’S VICE) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. This being his second offence during the Pune meeting 2019, he has been fined Rs.5,000/- and not Rs.3,000/- as incorrectly mentioned in the race day reports of 6th October, 2019.
