RACE DAY REPORTS


PENETROMETER READING:4.2 (LONGCHAMP METHOD)


RAILS WERE PLACED AT ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1400 METRES (MILE CHUTE) LEADING TO 2 METRES AWAY AT 1200 METRES. 4 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES, 6 METRES AWAY AT 800 METRES

AND THEREAFTER 8 METRES AWAY UP TO THE WINNING POST.FOR THE RACES STARTING FROM THE BACK STRETCH RAILS WERE PLACED FROM ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1400 METRES LEADING TO 2 METRES AWAY AT 1200 METRES AND 4 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES.

DEPUTISATION

On a request from Trainer James Mckewon, permission was granted to Trainer Subhag Singh to saddle his charge MEADOW SPRINGS in the 1st  race, at his own (Trainer James Mckewon’s) risk and responsibility.

 

RACE NO.1 (106) THE RAZA ALI PLATE : (ABOUT) 1400 METRES- RUNNERS - 11

 

REMY RED (S.Mosin, dr. 7)  lost about a length at the Start.

 

LARA (Vivek G. dr. 11) Jumped out awkwardly.

 

LUMINOSITY(Bharat Singh dr. 4)  jumped outwards and went across THE FLUTIST (A.Prakash dr. 5) who was marginally slow to begin.

 

Soon after the start, LARA( Vivek G) and  HOLA AMIGO (K.Nazil) were observed to have jostled. Jockey Vivek G and Jockey K Nazil have been cautioned.

 

After the Race , the Jockeys reported the following:

 

App Bharat Singh (LUMINOSITY) reported that his mount was inclined outwards around the bend, despite his efforts. Trainer Nirad Karanjawala has been asked to take  remedial measures before next accepting to race

 

App. S Siddharth (ALEXANDRIA ) reported that his mount was inclined outwards in the straight despite his efforts, Trainer Altamaash A. Ahmed has been asked to take  remedial measures before next accepting to Race

 

After the Race , the VO reported the following:

 

LARA was trotted and found to be sound

 

GOLDEN RUE was trotted and was found to be Sore by Right Fore, As Such, the mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to Race

 

RACE NO.2 (107) THE M. D. MEHTA TROPHY : (ABOUT) 1000 METRES - RUNNERS - 6

 

 

Approaching the 300 meters LATIOS (Yash Narredu) veered out and went across AVANTE (Neeraj Rawal) and DREAMS COME TRUE( A.Prakash).

 

Approaching the 300 meters DREAMS COME TRUE (A.Prakash) shifted in sharply thereby carrying AVANTE (Neeraj Rawal ) inwards, Jockey A Prakash has been cautioned

 

In the final stages of the race LUCKY DIAMOND (K. Nazil) leaned out thereby tightening DREAMS COME TRUE (A.Prakash) racing on its haunches causing the latter to be checked.  After questioning and not being satisfied with the explanation Jockey K. Nazil has been fined Rs 3,000/-

 

After the Race the VO reported the following:

 

AVANTE was trotted and found to be sound

 

DREAMS COME TRUE was trotted and found to be sound

 

RACE NO.3 (108) THE P. D. BOLTON TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1400 METRES  - RUNNERS -  9

 

MR BRAINWASH was examined by the Clubs VO at the stables at 11;45 am on 11th February 2025 and was found to be sore by Left Fore , As such , the Horse  was permitted to be withdrawn on Veterinary Grounds and has to be passed fit by the Clubs VO before next accepting to race.

 

At the start, FOURTH WING (Yash Narredu, dr. 5) jumped inwards at the same time DESTROYER (S.G.Prasad , dr 2) jumped outwards onto  FORTUNATE SUN (N.S.Parmar, dr 3 )  who in turn shifted in thereby tightening and inconviencing THUNDERING PHEONIX( Vivek.G d r 4 ) drawn between them causing the latter to be checked

 

BIG RED (Mustakim Alam )was observed to have trailed the field ,Trainer Imtiaz A Sait has been asked to ensure his charge puts up a reasonable performance in the future.

 

After the Race Jockey Amyn Merchant (SINGER SARGENT) reported that the saddle used on his mount slipped passing the 1000 meters and thereby he could not ride out his mount to his full advantage. The Stipendiary Stewards are looking into the same and a report will be submitted shortly.

 

After the Race the VO reported the following :

 

BASHIR was trotted and found to be sound

 

FOURTH WING was trotted and found to be sound

 

BIG RED was trotted and found to be sound

 

FORTUNATE SON was trotted and found to be Sore by Right Fore , As such the Gelding has to be passed fit by the Clubs VO before next accepting to Race

 

At the behest of the Stipendiary Stewards an Endoscopy was performed on FOURTH WING and no abnormality was found

 

RACE NO.4 (109) THE M. M. T. PANDOLE PLATE  : (ABOUT) 1200 METRES – RUNNERS - 14

 

TIMELESS FORTUNE was examined by the Clubs VO at the Stables at 09:50 am on Tuesday , 10th February  and was found to have fever and a cut injury on its pole , as such the filly was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds

 

ASHWA ALMATY (A.S.Peter ,dr 10) threw its head up at the start

 

COMMANCHERO (Mustakim Alam , dr 2 ) jumped and carried WONDERLAND(Amyn Merchant , dr1 ) inwards.

 

GOLDEN DEGREE (A.Prakash , dr 5 ) jumped inwards and made contact with KAJO (S.J.Sunil, dr 4 )

causing the latter to be steadied

 

Approaching the 200 meters ADONIS (K.Nazil ) shifted in under pressure thereby inconviencing ASHWA ALMATY(A.S.Peter) racing along the rails causing the latter to check and drop back , Jockey K Nazil has been cautioned

 

After the Race the Jockeys reported the following:

 

Jockey S. J. Sunil (KAJO) reported that his mount was shying away from the other horses. Trainer Vijay Kasbekar has been asked to show his charge in a Mock Race to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards before next accepting to Race.

 

Jockey A Prakash ( GOLDEN DEGREE) reported loss of whip passing the 300 meters , this being the second instance in the current Mumbai meeting 2025-26, he is being fined Rs 2,000/-

 

Vivek G. (MRIGA) reported that his mount was hanging-in in the straight despite his efforts. Trainer B Prithviraj has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to Race

 

After the Race, the VO reported the following:

 

KAJO was trotted and found to be sound

 

GOLDEN DEGREE was examined and was found to have Grade 1 EIPH

 

RACE NO.5 (110) THE W. BUCKLEY PLATE : (ABOUT) 2000 METRES – RUNNERS - 8

 

In the final stages of the race BRIGHT BUTTON (Neeraj Rawal ) shifted in thereby tightening and inconviencing VIKING (Akshay Kumar ) racing on its haunches causing the latter to  check and change  course.  After questioning and not being satisfied with the explanation Jockey Neeraj Rawal has been fined Rs 5,000/-

 

An objection lodged by Jockey Vivek G ,rider of MA CHERIE, placed 4th by the judge  against Jockey Akshay Kumar, rider of VIKING , placed 2nd by the judge in that “In the last 200 Meters , when my horse was full of running VIKING shifted out and when I tried to come from inside , he again shifted in front of me where I had to stop riding and switch my horse outside which cost  me a certain 2nd place’’ The Stewards after hearing the submissions made by both the Jockeys and viewed  the video recording of the Race from all angles, in conjunction with the Stipendiary Stewards and acting on their own observations of the race decided to overrule the objection and the placing remain unchanged as declared by the judge

 

The Stipendiary Stewards after questioning and not being satisfied with the explanation decided to fine Jockey Akshay Kumar Rs 5,000/-

 

RACE NO.6 (111) THE BANGALORE TURF CLUB TROPHY : (ABOUT) 1400 METRES -  RUNNERS -  7

 

LEGADEMA (A.Prakash dr 5 ) a lost about three lengths at the start ,Trainer P.Shroff has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the filly to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials before next accepting to Race.  

 

At the start , ENRICH (Yash Narredu , dr 3 ) jumped outwards onto CHERUBINE.

 

Approaching the 400 meters RED ROSE (Akshay Kumar) was observed to have lost its footing and stumble.

 

After the Race , the VO reported the following:

 

SHAANDAAR was trotted and found to be sound but was observed to have lost its Right Fore Shoe.

 

LEGADEMA was trotted and found to be sound

 

MENORCA was trotted and found to be sound but was observed to have lost its Left Hind Shoe.

 

RACE NO.7 (112) THE BYRAM N. JEEJEEBHOY TROPHY (ABOUT) 1000 METRES - RUNNERS - 8

 

Soon after the start AZURE (Mustakim Alam, dr.3) shifted out at the same time  ENFORCER
(A. Omakar dr.6) shifted in thereby tightening and bumping EASTERN MONARCH (A. Prakash)  FOXY
(S. Siddharth). After questioning and not being satisfied with the explanation decided to fine Jockey Mustakim Alam & App A. Omkar Rs. 3,000/- each.

 

SIR BAFFERT lost about three lengths at the start , Trainer Vinesh has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials before next accepting to Race

 

Approaching the 900 Metres. GODDESS OF DAWN (S. G. Prasad ) shifted in onto ENFORCER (App. A. Omkar)  who further shifted in thereby carried AZURE inwards. After and not being satisfied decided to fine Rs. 2,000/-

 

SENSATIONAL was observed to have trailed the field . Trainer Deepesh Narredu has been asked to ensure his charge puts up a better performance in the future .

 

After the Race , the Jockeys reported the following:

 

Jockey Mustakin Alam reported that his saddle slipped soon after the start, Trainer Imtiaz A Sait has been fined Rs 2000/-

 

Jockey Mustakim Alam reported that his mount was running erratic throughout  the race , Trainer Imtiaz  A Sait has been asked to take  remedial measures before next accepting to Race.

 

App S. Siddhart( FOXY) reported that his mount was inclined outwards in the straight despite his efforts , Trainer Behram Cama has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to Race

 

App A.Omkar( ENFORCER) reported that his mount was hanging in -in the straight despite his efforts , Trainer M Narredu has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to Race.

 

After the Race , the VO reported the following:

 

SIR BAFFERT was trotted and was found to be Sore by Left Fore. As such the Gelding has to be passed fit by the Clubs VO before next accepting to Race

 

SENSATIONAL was trotted and found to be sound

 

FOXY was trotted and found to be sound

The urine and Blood  samples of the winner of the 1st,2nd,4th,7th - race, viz. ALEXANDRIA ,LATIOS, SKANDHA,  AZURE and the special samples of LARA (1ST  race), BASHIR (3rd Race),FOURTH WING
(4th Race),FOXY(7th Race) were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
