RACE DAY REPORTS

 

RAILS WERE PLACED 3 METRES AWAY FROM ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1400 METRES (MILE CHUTE) LEADING TO 5 METRES AWAY AT 1200 METRES, 7 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES, 9 METRES AWAY AT 800 METRES AND THEREAFTER 11 METRES AWAY UPTO THE WINNING POST.

 

FOR THE RACES STARTING FROM THE BACK STRETCH RAILS WILL BE PLACED FROM ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1400 METRES LEADING TO 5 METRES AWAY AT 1200 METRES AND 7 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES.

RACE NO.1 (101) THE AHMED I. RAHIMTOOLA TROPHY  (ABOUT) 1200 METRES. - RUNNERS - 14

 

App. N. Bhosale was erroneously declared on SWIFT. It was observed by the racing department that App. N.Bhosale was not permitted to ride in a field of more than 12 runners as per the norms. Therefore, Trainer P. Shroff was informed to change the rider at which stage he declared App. Kirtish Bhagat. This information was posted on the Club's website and the necessary announcements were made.

 

At the start, SWEET EMOTION (N. S. Parmar,dr.6) jumped outwards  and at the same time TOUSSAINT (App. Haridas Gore, dr.8) jumped inwards as a result of which SWIFT ( App. Kirtish Bhagat,dr.7) drawn between them was tightened and had to be checked. Jockey N. S. Parmar and App. Haridas Gore were reprimanded.

 

Soon after the start, ALMAS (R. Ajinkya) leaned inwards and made contact with HELA (Bhawani Singh).

 

After the race, Jockey Bhawani Singh (HELA) reported that his mount was hanging-in throughout the race. Trainer Karthik Ganapathy has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, PYRRHUS was found to be sore by the left fore leg. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, on a request from Stipendiary Stewards HAGIBIS was trotted at the stables and was found to be sound.

 

After the race, HELA was trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.2 (102) THE BANGALORE TURF CLUB TROPHY  (ABOUT) 1400 METRES - RUNNERS - 7

 

At the start, FLYING VISIT S. Saqlain, dr.6 leaned inwards and went across MAJESTIC WARRIOR (K. Nazil, dr.5) causing the latter to be steadied.

 

The Equine hospital reported that AUGUSTUS CAESAR had injury (sore) in right eye.

 

RACE NO.3 (103) THE JAYARAMDAS PATEL GOLD TROPHY (ABOUT) 1600 METRES  - RUNNERS - 10

 

GOLDIVA (S. Saqlain, dr.9) was slow to start losing about a length at the start.

 

At the start, JUSTIN (Bhawani Singh, dr.10) jumped and veered outwards and had to be steadied

 

At the start, it was observed that App. A. S. Peter (OTELLO, dr.6) lost his left stirrup which he regained soon after. App. A. S. Peter was cautioned to be more alert at the start in the future.

 

At the start, VOLARE (N.S.Parmar, dr.7) leaned outwards thereby forcing KISLING (C. Umesh, dr.8) outwards.

 

Passing the 800 metres, GOLDIVA (S. Saqlain) shifted in thereby tightening and inconveniencing VOLARE (N.S. Parmar) due to which TREASURE GOLD (P. Shinde) racing on its haunches had to be checked. Jockey S. Saqlain has been cautioned.

 

Passing the 300 metres, JUSTIN (Bhawani Singh) drifted out despite jockeys efforts and finished the race on the outer portion of the track. Trainer Karthik Ganapathy has been asked to take remedial measures and inform the Stipendiary Stewards of the same, before next accepting to race.

 

RACE NO.4 (104) THE DR. S. C. JAIN SPRINTERS' CHAMPIONSHIP (GRADE II) (ABOUT)1200 METRES – RUNNERS - 5

 

At the request of Jockey P. Trevor his mount (IRON AGE) was re-saddled at the Starting Gate.

 

Soon after the start, HUNTING GODDESS (P. S. Chouhan) shifted in under urgings and made contact with MARKET KING (R. Ajinkya). Jockey P. S. Chouhan has been cautioned.

 

RACE NO.5 (105)  THE DR. I. C. NAGREE TROPHY (ABOUT) 2000 METRES - RUNNERS - 12

 

MAD LOVE (App. N. Bhosale, dr.4) took a fly jump thereby losing about 2 lengths at the start.

 

Soon after the start, MURWARA PRINCESS (App. Mustakim Alam) shifted in onto OWN VOICE (R. Ajinkya) who in turn shifted in and went onto ZARAK (A. Sandesh) racing on its haunches causing the latter to be checked and drop back due to which REGAL COMMAND (Bhawani Singh) racing on its haunches had to be steadied. App. Mustakim Alam has been cautioned.

 

After the race, App. N. Bhosale (MAD LOVE) reported that his mount was hanging out in the straight despite of his efforts. Trainer Faisal A. Abbas has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

 

The Sr. V.O. reported that at the request of Trainer Karthik Ganapathy, REGAL COMMAND was examined at 11.30 a.m. on 13/02/2023 and found to be lame by right fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

 

RACE NO.6 (106) THE N. M. IRANI TROPHY -  (ABOUT) 1200 METRES -  RUNNERS -  12

 

MAYSARA (C. S. Jodha) shifted in sharply thereby cutting across the field before passing the red marker and further passing the 1000 metres MAYSARA slowed down the pace due to which ETOILE (S. Saqlain), UGLY TRUTH (Vikram Jodha) & BUBBLY BOY (S. Zervan) were inconvenienced and had to be steadied. After questioning and not being satisfied with the explanation, Jockey C. S. Jodha has been fined Rs.3,000/- for both the above incidents.

 

Approaching the 400 metres, GOLDEN GLOW (Vishal N. Bunde) was tightened for room.

 

After the race, Jockey K.Nazil (TRANSCEND) reported that his mount was running green in the straight. The Club’s V.O. was asked to examine the filly and the report is awaited.

 

After the race, ETOILE was found to be sore by the left fore leg. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, BUBBLY BOY was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The colt has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

 

RACE NO.7 (107) THE AMAZING MAURITIUS CUP (ABOUT) 2000 METRES - RUNNERS - 14

 

STARRY SPIRIT (R. Shelar, dr. 13)  planted in the stall thereby losing considerable ground at the start. Trainer Imtiaz A. Sait has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show to the satisfaction of the Starter, before next accepting to race.

 

Approaching the 1600 metres, MIGHTY WINGS (K. Nazil) shifted inwards onto WILLY WONKAA (A. Sandesh) causing the latter to be checked. Jockey K. Nazil has been cautioned.

 

Approaching the 1200 metres, it was observed that COME BACK PLEASE (App. A. S. Peter) had brushed the rails and had to be steadied.

 

After passing the winning post GIMME (Prashant P. Dhebe) placed 3rd by the judge dislodged the rider and after being examined was certified unfit by the Club’s Medical officer. Under the circumstances he was permitted not to weigh-in in accordance with Rule no.177 (d) of Rules of Racing.

The urine samples of the winner of the 2nd & 6th race, viz. SON OF A GUN & REMINISCENCE, were collected and sent for the analysis of detection of prohibited substance.

 

The urine and blood samples of the IRON AGE (Winner – 4th race) & HUNTING GODDESS (2nd place – 4th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance, However, only urine samples were sent for analysis.
