RACE DAY REPORTS
RAILS WERE PLACED 2 METRES AWAY FROM ITS ORIGINAL POINT AT 1800 METRES, 3 METRES AWAY AT 1600 METRES, 4 METREW AWAY AT 1400 METRES, 5 METRES AWAY AT 1200 METRES, 6 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES, 8 METRES AWAY AT 800 METRES, 9 METRES AWAY AT 600 METRES AND THEREAFTER 10 METRES AWAY UPTO THE WINNING POST. RAILS WERE ALSO PLACED 6 METRES WIDE IN THE CHUTE.
RACE NO.1(23) –THE KEUKENHOF PLATE: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 7
On arrival at the start, ARTFUL (R. Ajinkya) was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and found to be sore from the right fore leg, as such, the filly was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on veterinary grounds, before coming under the Starter’s Order. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
At the start, MAJESTIC WARRIOR (App. P. S. Kaviraj, dr.3) jumped outwards on to CASTILIAN (Akshay, dr.4), who in turn shifted out and made contact with ARC SHINE (App. Malam Singh, dr.5).
ARC SHINE (App. Malam Singh) was observed to have trailed the filed. Trainer Sangramsinh N. Joshi has been asked to ensure that his charge puts up better performance in the future.
Jockey Akshay (CASTILIAN) reported the loss of whip approaching the 250 metres. The Stipendiary Stewards will be looking into the same and a report will be submitted shortly.
RACE NO.2(24) –THE KANTHARA PLATE: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 12
At the start, SPECULATOR (Nirmal Jodha, dr.10) jumped outwards on to TASMAN (D. R. Shubham, dr.11), who in turn shifted out and went across GRACIDA (S. A. Amit, dr.12) who was slowly off.
At the start, ADONIJAH (S. G. Prasad, dr.4) jumped outwards and went across POWER OF NEATH (S. Joseph, dr.5) who was slowly off.
Passing 400 metres, DUMAS (S. Zervan) shifted out and made contact with TASMAN (D. R. Shubham) who had to be steadied. Jockey S. Zervan has been cautioned.
After the race, SPECULATOR was observed to have a gum injury. DUMAS was found to be sound in the trot.
RACE NO.3(25) –THE P.D.BOLTON TROPHY: (About) 1000 Metres – Runners - 7
At the start, HEADWAY (A. Sandesh, dr.4) jumped outwards on to IMPALA (App. P. S. Kaviraj, dr.5), who in turn shifted out and made contact with SHARAREH (N. S. Parmar, dr.6) who had to be steadied.
Passing 700 metres, HEADWAY (A. Sandesh) shifted out and made contact with IMPALA (App. P. S. Kaviraj) thereby forcing it outwards. Jockey A. Sandesh has been cautioned.
App. A. S. Peter (WILD FIRE) reported the loss of whip passing the 150 metres. This being his first instance during the current Mumbai Meeting 2020/21, no action has been initiated.
After the race, HEADWAY was trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.4(26) –THE GIRL FROM IPANEMA PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 11
Soon after the start, BODYLINE (Bhawani Singh) leaned inwards on to THE BAWAJI (Neeraj Rawal). Thereafter, CURFEW (Dashrath Singh) shifted in and bumped BODYLINE (Bhawani Singh), who in turn shifted in and made contact with THE BAWAJI (Neeraj Rawal). Jockey Dashrath Singh has been cautioned.
Approaching 700 metres, FAIRMONT (P. S. Chouhan) who was racing between CHANCELLOR (P. Trevor) and POSSE (S. Zervan), was tightened for room and dropped back.
The Equine Hospital reported that SPARKLING GLORY had left eye injury (mild corneal ulcer & lacrimation) and POSSE had right eye injury (mild ulcer).
RACE NO.5(27) – THE EVATINA PLATE: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 5
INTENSE STYLIST (N. B. Kuldeep) was very frisky and reluctant to be stalled. Trainer S. K. Sunderji has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice before next accepting to race.
RACE NO.6(28) –THE GIRL FROM IPANEMA PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 10
SEASONS GREETINGS (P. S. Chouhan) was fractious and reluctant to be stalled, as such, the filly was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s Order. Tr. P. Shroff has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
GUSTY GIRL (S. G. Prasad) stood awkwardly in the gate and failed to take a proper jump resulting in the filly losing about 4 lengths at the start. Tr. Dallas Todywalla has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
Approaching 200 metres, GOLD CHARM (Shailesh Shinde) shifted in under use of the whip thereby tightening MAJOR GENERAL (N. S. Parmar) who had to be checked. Jockey Shailesh Shinde has been fined Rs.2,000/-.
After the race, Jockey A. Sandesh (MARKET KING) reported that in the last 150 metres his mount was inclined outwards despite his efforts. Trainer S. K. Sunderji has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
RIGHT TO PRIVACY (Neeraj Rawal) was declared to run with aluminum shoes but ran with aluminium , both fore bonded shoes. Trainer Altamaash A. Ahmed has been fined Rs.1,000/- for the lapse.
After the race, BIRKIN BLOWER was trotted and found to be sound. The gelding had a gum injury.
RACE NO.7(29) –THE WILD EAGLE PLATE: (About) 1800 Metres – Runners - 11
Passing 800 metres, HISTORIAN (P. Trevor) shifted in thereby tightening SEHMAT (Akshay Gaikwad) along the rails who had to be checked. Jockey P. Trevor has been fined Rs.2,000/-
After the race, SEHMAT and ZEEMO were trotted and found to be sound.

The urine samples of the winner of the 1st, 4th and 6th race, viz. REVELATOR, ONE WISH and BIRKIN BLOWER, were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
