RACE DAY REPORTS
FALSE RAILS WERE PLACED 2 METRES WIDE FROM 1100 METRES TILL THE WINNING POST.
RACE NO 1 (130) THE INGLENOOK PLATE: (ABOUT) 1000 METRES – Runners – 6
At the request of Trainer Rehanullah Khan, BIG TIME GIRL was examined at 0815 hours on 11/09/2011 (race day) and was found to be bleeding from right nostril (a case of Haematoma in nasal cavity). As such, the filly was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds. Trainer Rehanullah Khan is required to obtain a fitness certificate for the filly from the Club’s Sr.V.O before next accepting to race.
STAR LADY (Amyn Merchant) jumped out throwing its head and failed to raise an immediate gallop. Tr.Adil Dajee has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials before next accepting to race.
Jockey Shrikant Kamble (SWEATY BETTY) has been cautioned for using his whip with the left hand while his mount was shifting inwards.
After the race, STAR LADY and SWEATY BETTY were found to be sound.
RACE NO 2 (131) THE SIMPLY SUPREME TROPHY (DIV.II): (ABOUT) 1400 METRES – Runners – 8
At the start, FLASHFORWARD (J.E.Pereira) jumped out awkwardly outwards and went across DESERT EAGLE (P.Trevor).
PRIZE FIGHTER (P.S.Chouhan) lugged out in the straight. Trainer Faisal A.Abbas has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
Jockey D.S.Rathore (ABERDARES) has been fined Rs.2000/- for failing to ride out his mount past the Post.
After the race, SUGAR LOAF was observed to have a cut injury at the left hind cannon and fetlock. DESERT EAGLE, PRIZE FIGHTER, SPIRIT OF MERCY and ABERDARES were found to be sound.
RACE NO 3 (132) THE D N ZODGE PLATE (DIV.II): (ABOUT) 1200 METRES – Runners – 15
Approaching 900 metres, ARABIAN CHAMP (I.Shaikh) shifted out and hampered the running of C’EST LA VIE (Dashrath Singh) who was checked and lost position. Jockey I.Shaikh has been fined Rs.2000/-.
Jockey I.Shaikh (ARABIAN CHAMP) has been severely cautioned for failing to ride out his mount past the Post.
After the race, THAT’S MY MASTER was observed to have an abrasion at midneck on the left side and HERZELIYAH had a cut injury at the right hind pastern. C’EST LA VIE and LAKE ERIE were found to be sound.
RACE NO 4. (133) THE RAO SAHEB KEDARI GOLD CUP (DIV.II): (About) 1200 Metres. Runners – 9
In the paddock ,TAMARAI(Ladjadj Stephane) was very fractious, kept rearing up and refused to proceed to the start. The filly was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s order. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to school his charge to proceed to the start, before next accepting to race the filly.
At the Start, DREAM TALK (Kavraj Singh) shifted in and made contact with CLOUD COVER (A.Ashad Asbar). Jockey Kavraj Singh has been cautioned.
Soon after the start, CLAIM TO FAME (R.Shelar) drifted outwards and went on to ROYAL COMPANION (Suraj Narredu).
Near 1000 metres, STAR VISION (J.Chinoy) shifted out for no apparent reason and carried GOLDEN HEART (A.M.Tograllu) outwards. Jockey J.Chinoy has been cautioned.
Jockey J.Chinoy (STAR VISION) has been fined Rs.1000/- for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.
After the race, GOLDEN HEART was observed to have a cut injury at the right hind cannon.
RACE NO 5. (134) THE YOGENDER SINGH CUP: (About) 1800 Metres. Runners – 11
BALACLAVA (P.S.Chouhan) was reluctant to be stalled. PERFECT STRENGTH (Vikram Jodha) was restless in the gates. Trainers S.S.Shah and Subhag Singh have been asked to give their respective charge more gate practice and show them to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
AZUL (Aadesh Kumar) lost about 2 lengths, at the start.
Near 800 metres, LIGHT MY WAY (Y.S.Srinath) shifted out as GLOWING STAR ((C.Rajendra) who was in front, was steadied. Thereafter, LIGHT MY WAY again shifted out and inconvenienced COGITO ERGO SUM (Neeraj Rawal). Jockey Y.S.Srinath has been cautioned.
Jockey P.Trevor (APACHE INDIAN) reported that his mount lugged out during the race. Trainer Dallas Todywalla has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
After the race, FROST FAIRY was observed to have an abrasion at the right hind bulb of heel, COGITO ERGO SUM had an abrasion at the left hock and ASHWA GAURAV had an abrasion at the brisket. APACHE INDIAN and ASHWA GAURAV were found to be sound.
RACE NO 6. (135) THE SIMPLY SUPREME TROPHY (DIV.I): (About) 1400 Metres. Runners – 9
At the Start, ZORBA (Akash Agarwal) jumped out awkwardly.
Approaching 200 metres, STORMING HEART (Neeraj Rawal) shifted out and made contact with ZAKYNTHOS (B.Prakash). Jockey Neeraj Rawal has been reprimanded.
Jockey C.Rajendra (HOME ALONE) was observed to have used his whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. This being the third offence with regard to the use of the whip, the matter has been reported to the Stewards. Consideration of the matter was deferred to the next meeting of the Stewards.
After the race, CHARLIE COOL was observed to have an abrasion at the right fore fetlock and STORMING HEART had an abrasion at the right hind coronet. ZAKYNTHOS was found to be sound.
RACE NO 7. (136) THE IDAR GOLD TROPHY (GRADE 3): (About) 2400 Metres. Runners – 8
In the Paddock, Jockey Neeraj Rawal, the declared Rider for DOI MOI pointed out that the Saddle on his mount was not the one that he had weighed-out with. As such, the filly was taken to the Saddling Enclosure for re-saddling which caused a delay in the filly reaching the Starting Gate. After taking the evidence from all concerned with regard to the application of saddle on DOI MOI, Jockey Neeraj Rawal has been fined Rs.3000/- for not handing over the saddle to the Trainer or his Staff and leaving it unattended after weighing out.
Approaching 600 metres, DOI MOI (Neeraj Rawal) shifted in and caused STRELITZIA (S.Zervan) to shift in, who in turn caused severe interference to CLARION CALL (A.Sandesh). Approaching 400 metres, DOI MOI again shifted out and hampered the running of HIGHLAND CROWN (P.Kamlesh). Jockey Neeraj Rawal has been fined Rs.5000/- for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.
The Sr.V.O. reported that after completing the race, MR GREEDY stumbled and fell near 2000 metres. First Aid treatment was given, however the horse did not recover and died.
After the race, HIGHLAND CROWN was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.
After the race, STRELITZIA and HARLAMOFF were found to be sound.
RACE NO 8. (137) THE RAO SAHEB KEDARI GOLD CUP (DIV.I): (About) 1200 Metres. Runners – 11
At the start, SALT (S.Sunil) jumped out awkwardly outwards and went on to EMERALD VALLEY (Ladjadj Stephane).
Soon after the start, DAFFODILS (C.S.Jodha) shifted in and caused ASHWA PAARTH (P.S.Chouhan) to shift in and tighten EMERALD VALLEY (Ladjadj Stephane) who in turn went on to SALT and ricocheted on to ASHWA PAARTH. Jockey C.S.Jodha has been cautioned.
Jockey Y.S.Srinath (DOVERS HILL) reported that his mount lugged out during the race. Since the filly was reported to be sore after the race, no further action was taken in the matter.
Jockey P.S.Chouhan (ASHWA PAARTH) reported that he found his mount uncomfortable in the race. The Sr.V.O. was requested to examine the gelding and he reported that no abnormality was detected.
After the race, DOVERS HILL was found to be sore by the left fore leg. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.
After the race, FLOODS OF FORTUNE was observed to have an abrasion at the right hind coronet. RISING GLORY was found to be sound.
RACE NO 9. (138) THE D.N. ZODGE PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1200 Metres. Runners – 16
SEAROCK (Akash Agarwal) was reluctant to be stalled. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and to show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
Near 100 metres, BONGANI (P.S.Chouhan) was awkwardly placed behind the heels of OCEAN GIRL (S.S.Rathore) and was steadied.
STAR ZONE (P.Kamlesh) hung-in in the straight. Since the gelding was reported to be sore after the race, no further action was taken in the matter.
After the race, STAR ZONE was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.
After the race, MINUTE TO WIN IT was observed to have an abrasion at both the hind fetlock. MARINE ZONE and BONGANI were found to be sound.
RACE NO 10. (139) THE DEDICATION PLATE: (About) 1400 Metres. Runners – 12
ARABIAN ROCK (D.S.Rathore) was reluctant to be stalled. FULL THROTTLE (Akash Agarwal) planted and did not take part in the race. Trainers Altaf Hussain and Narendra Lagad have been asked to give their respective charge more gate practice and to show them to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
Near 500 metres, ARABIAN ROCK (D.S.Rathore) shifted out and took the running of MISCHEVIOUS Z (Dashrath Singh) who clipped the hind heels of the former and stumbled. Jockey D.S.Rathore was reported the Stewards for Careless Riding. Consideration of the matter was deferred to the next meeting of the Stewards.
Jockey Kavraj Singh (HONEY BEE) has been fined Rs.1000/- for failing to ride out his mount past the Post.

The post race urine sample of the winner of 2nd, 4th, 5th & 7th race, viz. SUGAR LOAF, GOLDEN HEART, AZUL and MACCHUPICCHU and also that DOI MOI and NATIVE KNIGHT (7th race) and the special sample of BIG TIME GIRL and SWEATY BETTY (1st race), SPIRIT OF MERCY (2nd race), STAR GLORY (3rd race), TAMARAI (4th race), ZAKYNTHOS (6th race), PALAZZO GRAZIOLI & GOOD LOOKING (9th race) and RISING ASSET (10th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
