RACE DAY REPORTS

FALSE RAILS WERE PLACED FROM 1400 METRES LEADING TO ABOUT 3 METRES WIDE AT 1300 METRES AND CONTINUED THEREAFTER TILL THE WINNING POST. FALSE RAILS WERE ALSO PLACED 3 METRES WIDE FROM 1200 METRES CHUTE TILL 1000 METRES.

RACE NO.1(61) – THE STAR WISH PLATE : (About) 1800 Metres – 5 Runners

ALLEGIANCE (Bhanu Pratap Singh) lugged-in in the straight. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

Jockey Neeraj Rawal (BLUE KNIGHT) reported the loss of his whip passing 200 metres, the reason being that the whip of Jockey T.S.Jodha (PERFECT STRENGTH) hit his whip and hence he lost his whip.

After the race, HOT AS ICE was observed to have an abrasion at the right hind fetlock. BLUE KNIGHT and ALLEGIANCE were found to be sound.

RACE NO.2(62) – THE HER MAJESTY TROPHY: (About) 1600 Metres – 5 Runners

SUPREME STAR (D.K.Ashish) reared up as the start was effected.

Soon after the start, INVICTUS (Neeraj Rawal) was tightened as DEMONSTRATOR (C.S.Jodha) shifted inwards. Jockey C.S.Jodha has been cautioned.

After the race, SUPREME STAR was found to be sound, but having a stirrup injury on the right side. DEMONSTRATOR had an abrasion at both the hind fetlocks.

RACE NO.3(63) – THE DR.K.VASUDEVAN CUP: (About) 1600 Metres – 7 Runners

Jockey A.Sandesh (INFALLIBLE) reported that his mount did not get a clear run in the straight.

Jockey B.Sreekanth (THE MINISTERIAN) reported that his mount lugged-in in the straight. Trainer Karthik G has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

After the race, PHELPS was observed to have a cut injury at the right fore pastern. BRAZIL was found to be sound.

RACE NO.4(64) – THE MOOSA M.HOOSEIN TROPHY : (About) 1000 Metres – 14 Runners

Trainer M.K.Jadhav has been fined Rs.3,000/- for putting in late Declaration in respect of his charge FREE VERSE.

The Starter reported that the race got delayed by four minutes as there was a technical snag,

Soon after the start, DOMAIN ANNA (R.Vaibhav) lugged-in and hampered the running of BLUSH (A.Sandesh). Trainer Magansingh P.Jodha has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the mare.

Approaching 400 metres, WARRIOR PRINCE (S.P.Ranjane) weakened and shifted inwards, due to which BE COOL (A.Ashhad Asbar) shifted in and interfered with SLEUTH (T.S.Jodha) who lost position.

Jockey A.Ashhad Asbar (BE COOL) reported the loss of whip near 150 metres.

After the race, TITLEIST was found to be sound, but having an abrasion at the right hind fetlock. FREE VERSE had a gum injury and BLUSH was found to be sound.

RACE NO.5(65) – THE GOVERNOR’S GOLD CUP: (About) 1400 Metres – 9 Runners

Jockey S.Zervan has been fined Rs.10,000/- for failing to report to the Club’s Medical Officer.

MOON SHADOW (A.Sandesh) was fractious behind the stall and thereafter tried to rear up as the start was effected. Trainer Mansoor Shah has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

Trainer M.K.Jadhav has been fined Rs.3,000/- for putting in late Declaration in respect of his charge PURPLE PATCH.

MOON SHADOW (A.Sandesh) lugged-in in the straight. Mansoor Shah has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

Jockey Shrikant Kamble (PURPLE PATCH) reported the loss of his whip near 200 metres.

After the race, ZAKYNTHOS, STORMY PRINCESS and MOON SHADOW were found to be sound. ICE ZONE had an upper gum injury.

RACE NO.6(66) – THE F.D.WADIA TROPHY (GR.2): (About) 1400 Metres – 8 Runners

DYNAMO (Imran Chisty) tried to duck the front gates, resulting in the gelding losing about 2 lengths at the start.

After the race, DYNAMO was found to be sound, but having an abrasion at the left hind pastern and both the hind fetlocks. WAR HORSE had an abrasion at the right knee and INDIAN TOUCH had a cut injury at the right hind bulb of heel.

HAWKER (Suraj Narredu) was placed fifth and SHY GIRL (C.S.Jodha) was placed sixth by the Judge.

RACE NO.7(67) – THE ASPINALLS PLATE: (About) 1400 Metres – 8 Runners

Soon after the start, STEP UP (App.Sandeep Jadhav) shifted in and carried WINGS OF GLORY (Akshay) inwards, who in turn tightened SET TO FLY (A.Sandesh) who lost position. App.Sandeep Jadhav has been cautioned.

After the race, STEP UP was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

RACE NO.8(68) – THE AURORA AUREALIS PLATE: (About) 1200 Metres – 13 Runners

At the start, SEA PEARL (P.Trevor, dr.4) was tightened between ALWAYS SMILE (App.Sandeep Jadhav, dr.3) and STELLA (A.Sandesh, dr.5).

MCQUEEN (App.Prasad) was denied a clear run in the final 200 metres.

Jockey Bhanu Pratap Singh (ZAFIRAH) has been cautioned for traveling wide throughout the race without any apparent reason.

The post race urine sample of the winner of the 1^st, 5^th, 6^th and 8^th race, viz. ALLEGIANCE, ZAKYNTHOS, MARIINSKY and CHAMPAKALI, as also that of INDIAN TOUCH & DYNAMO (6^th race) and the special sample of BLUE KNIGHT (1^st race) and STEP UP (7^th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
