An objection was lodged by App. N. Bhosale (FONTANA) placed 2nd by the Judge against App. Haridas Gore (LIGHT OF LIFE) placed 2nd by the Judge, reason being as he was travelling along in the last furlong, LIGHT OF LIFE moved out, opening a gap along the rails which his filly took. After travelling a bit the same colt came in onto him, bumping him two or three times causing his filly to lose stride. He felt that his filly would have certainly finished ahead. The Stewards having watched the race in conjunction with the Stipendiary Stewards and acting on their own observations of the race decided to overrule the objection and the placings remained unaltered as declared by the Judge.

RE: CARELESS RIDING ON “PRINCE IGOR” (DRAWN 11) IN RACE NO.53 THE PRADEEP VIJAYAKAR PLATE DIV. II (DIST. 1200 MTRS.) RUN ON 4TH JANUARY 2024:

In connection with the captioned subject, the Stewards of the Club at their meeting held on 9th January 2024, having heard the submissions made by App. Mustakim Alam along with his Master Trainer Narendra Lagad, as also the Stipendiary Stewards, having viewed the video recording of the race in question and having deliberated in the matter at length, the Stewards were not satisfied with the explanation tendered by App. Mustakim Alam.

In that, soon after the start, App. Mustakim Alam shifted in sharply on his mount PRINCE IGOR thereby bumping LIGHT OF LIFE (S. J. Sunil) forcing it inwards onto ANOUSHKA (Amyn Merchant) causing the latter to be checked, due to this incident ULTIMO (R. Ajinkya) racing on the haunches of LIGHT OF LIFE had to be steadied. Therefore, the Stewards of the Club held App. Mustakim Alam guilty of careless riding on his mount PRINCE IGOR in the above race and decided to suspend his Jockey’s licence for 2 race days i.e. on 3rd & 4th February 2024, (permitted to ride work/mock race).

Having considered that App. Mustakim Alam vide his letter dated 11th January 2024, informed the office that he does not wish to appeal against the above decision and requested for fresh dates of suspension. RE: INTERFERENCE CAUSED TO “MISTY’ (DRAWN 9) IN RACE NO.34 THE KOREA RACING AUTHORITY TROPHY DIV. I (DIST. 1000 MTRS.) RUN ON 17TH DECEMBER 2023:

In connection with the captioned subject, the Stewards of the Club at their meeting held on 11th January 2024, having considered all the papers and proceedings before them, heard the submissions made by Jockey’s P. Trevor, J. Chinoy, Dashrath Singh and App. Mustakim Alam, as also the Stipendiary Stewards, having viewed the video recording of the race in question and having deliberated in the matter at length, the Stewards were not satisfied with the explanation tendered Jockey’s J. Chinoy and Dashrath Singh.

In that, at the start Jockey J. Chinoy (DAULAT MAI) failed to maintain a straight course by allowing his mount to shift out. At the same time Jockey Dashrath Singh (MIGHTY THUNDER) also failed to maintain a straight course by allowing his mount to shift in thereby bumping and tightening MISTY (P. Trevor) drawn between the two of them. As a consequence of this, Jockey P. Trevor was forced to check his mount and drop back. Therefore, the Stewards of the Club held both Jockey’s i.e. J. Chinoy and Dashhrath Singh guilty of careless riding on their respective mounts in the above race and decided to suspend their Jockey’s licences for 2 race days i.e. on 3rd & 4th February 2024, (permitted to ride work/mock race).
