RACE DAY REPORTS

On a request from Trainer Dr. Anil Kumar permission was granted to Trainer Hosidar Daji to saddle his charge Liban in the 3^RD Race, at his own (Trainer Dr. Anil Kumar’s) risk and responsibility.

On a request from Trainer Deepesh Narredu , permission was granted to Trainer M. Narredu to saddle his charge ELEVATE in the 5^th Race at his own (Trainer Deepesh Narredu’s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO.1 (59) THE ISN'T SHE SPECIAL TROPHY : (ABOUT) 1600 METRES- RUNNERS - 7

At the start, MIRACLE OF HANUKAH (P. Trevor dr.5) jumped outwards and went across DOCTOR DOLLY (App. Mustakim Alam dr.6) who was marginally slow to begin.

Passing the 400 metres, FORTUNATE SON ( David Allan) shifted in and went across TREASURE GOLD (App. A. Omkar) causing the latter to be checked. After questioning and not being satisfied with the explanation, Jockey David Allan has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

Passing the 300 metres, TREASURE GOLD (App. A. Omkar) shifted out and went into the haunches of EMPEROR RODERIC ( S. Mosin ) and had to be steadied. App A Omkar has been cautioned.

In the final stages of the Race, MIRACLE OF HANUKAH (P. Trevor) shifted in, at the same time BREAK POINT (Akshay Kumar) leaned inwards due to which MIRACLE OF HANUKAH had to be steadied.

After the race, Jockey David Allan (FORTUNATE SON) reported that his mount was inclined outwards in the straight despite his efforts, and the same was noted.

Jockey Akshay Kumar (BREAK POINT) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. This being his first offence during the current Mumbai Meeting 2025/26, he has been fined Rs.3,000/-.

After the Race, the V.O. reported the following:

EMPEROR RODERIC, BREAK POINT & DOCTOR DOLLY were trotted and found to be sound.

MIRACLE OF HANUKAH was trotted and found to be sound but was observed to have lost it’s right hind shoe.

RACE NO.2(60) THE POTENTIAL CHAMPION TROPHY : (ABOUT) 1600 METRES - RUNNERS - 4

PRIDE’S PRINCE (Yash Narredu dr.3) lost about two lengths at the start.

EL GRECO (Vivek G dr.4) lost about two lengths at the start.

Jockey Yash Narredu (PRIDE’S PRINCE ) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. This being his first offence during the current Mumbai Meeting 2025/26, he has bee fined Rs.3,000/- .

After the Race the, the V.O. reported the following:

SHUBHANKAR & EL GRECO were trotted and found to be sound.

RACE NO.3(61) THE PLEASURE HUNT TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1000 METRES - RUNNERS - 8

An objection was lodged by Jockey R. Ajinkya rider of FONTANA placed Second by the Judge against App. Ramswarup rider of ESPERANZA placed First by the Judge stating that “in the last 50 metres the winner shifted out, because of which I had to check my horse, had to change my course, this cost me a certain race”.

After considering the submissions made by Jockey R. Ajinkya and Trainer Shazaan Shah, Master of App. Ramswarup, in conjunction with the Stipendiary Stewards, having viewed the Video Recording of the Race from multiple angles and acting on their own observations of the Race, the Stewards upheld the objection and revised the order of placing as under:

FONTANA FIRST SOCIAL BUTTERFLY THIRD

ESPERANZA SECOND BIG BAY FOURTH

In view of above, the Stewards of the Club held App. Ramswarup guilty of Careless riding on his mount ESPERANZA.

An objection was lodged by Jockey Yash Narredu rider of BIG BAY placed 4^th by the judge against Jockey A. Sandesh rider of SOCIAL BUTTERFLY placed 3^rd by the judge stating that “ in the last 200 metres my horse was in full momentum catching up with the leader, when SOCIAL BUTTERFLY started drifting out and in the last 100 metres completely took my ground where I had to completely stop riding, this not only cost me placing but a certain Race”.

After considering the submissions made by both the Jockeys, in conjunction with the Stipendiary Stewards, having viewed the Video Recording of the Race from multiple angles and acting on their own observations of the Race decided to overrule the objection, placings remain unchanged as declared by the Judge.

RACE NO.4(62) THE TRICUMDAS DWARKADAS TROPHY - DIVISION I : (ABOUT) 1200 METRES – RUNNERS - 6

TYRONE POWER was examined by the Clubs VO at 09:40 am at the stables and was found to be sore by Right Hind and was permitted to be withdrawn on Veterinary Grounds. As Such, the gelding has to be passed fit by the Club's V.O., before next accepting to Race.

After being stalled, YOUREBLISS (A. S. Peter, dr.8) was fractious, reared up, flipped over thereby dislodging it’s rider and got stuck in the gates, the filly was removed and was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s order. Subsequently, the filly was sent to the Equine Hospital for further diagnosis. As Such, Trainer B. Prithviraj has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the filly to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to Race.

VALTAT (Amyn Merchant dr.1) refused to be stalled despite substantial efforts and was permitted to be withdrawn, before coming under the Starter’s order. As Such ,Trainer Faisal A. Abaas has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

SKANDHA (T. S. Jodha dr.7) lost about a length at the start.

Approaching the 1000 metres, INTERCEPTOR (Akshay Kumar) racing between JAISALMER (App. Ramswarup) and SKANDHA (T. S. Jodha) was tightened for room and had to be steadied.

JAISALMER (App. Ramswarup) was observed to have drifted out under pressure in the straight thereby finishing the race on the outer portion of the track. As Such, Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

After the Race, the V.O. reported the following:

MEDUSA was observed to have a gum injury.

JURACAN was observed to have an injury in it’s right nostril.

INTERCEPTER lost it’s right fore shoe.

The Equine Hospital reported YOUREBLISS was observed to have an injury on its right hind tibia and fractured its tail bone.

RACE NO.5(63) THE GOOL S. POONAWALLA MILLION (Grade III): (ABOUT) 1200 METRES – RUNNERS - 7

Passing the 900 meters NEBULA (T. S. Jodha ) leaned inwards thereby inconveniencing ADMIRABLE (Akshay Kumar). Jockey T. S. Jodha has been cautioned.

After the Race, Jockey Yash Narredu (ELEVATE) reported that his mount was inclined outwards in the straight, despite his efforts. Trainer Deepesh Narredu has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to Race.

After the race, Jockey A. Sandesh (LADY SCARLET) reported that his mount was inclined outwards in the straight, despite his efforts. Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to Race.

After the Race, the V.O. reported the following:

LADY STARLET & NEBULA were trotted and found to be sound.

ADMIRABLE was trotted at the stables and found to be sound.

RACE NO.6(64) THE RAMNIWAS RAMNARAIN RUIA GOLD CUP (Grade III): (ABOUT) 2000 METRES - RUNNERS - 7

After the race, Jockey Vivek G. (ZACHARIAS) reported that his mount hung-in in the straight, despite his efforts. As such, Trainer P. Shroff has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to Race.

After the Race, the V.O. reported the following:

GUNSMOKE was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and was found to be sore by left fore. As Such, the gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to Race.

HARISSON & ZACHARIAS were trotted and found to be sound.

ROSARIO was observed to have lost its right fore shoe.

RACE NO.7(65) THE VILLOO C. POONAWALLA INDIAN OAKS (Grade I) (ABOUT) 2400 METRES - RUNNERS - 8

At the start, AZALEA (App. Kirtish Bhagat dr. 2) jumped outwards and went across PRISTINE GLORY (C. S. Jodha dr.3)

Soon after the start, KINGS GAMBIT (Yash Narredu) leaned in onto NAMIRI (P. Trevor) who further shifted in thereby tightening and inconveniencing FYNBOS (Vivek G.) causing the latter to be checked. Jockey Yash Narredu has been cautioned.

After the Race, the V.O. reported the following:

NAMIRI was trotted and found to be sound

RACE NO.8 (66) THE TRICUMDAS DWARKADAS TROPHY - DIVISION II : (ABOUT) 1200 METRES - RUNNERS - 8

After being stalled, MCHIAVELLIAN (App. Ramswarup dr.9) ducked the front gates, subsequently, the gelding was removed and was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s order. As such, Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

AEON FLUX (App. Mustakim Alam dr.3) was fractious in the stall. As such, Trainer Faisal A. Abbas has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the filly to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

SKY FULL OF STARS (Akshay Gaikwad dr.7) was fractious in the stall. As such, Trainer Aman Altaf Hussain has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the filly to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

Soon after the start, SKY FULL OF STARS (Akshay Gaikwad) shifted in sharply and went across RENAISSANCE (N. B. Kuldeep), REMY RED (S. Mosin) and AEON FLUX (App. Mustakim Alam). After questioning and not being satisfied with the explanation, Jockey Akshay Gaikwad has been fined Rs.2,000/- for shifting in before the Red Marker.

RED DUST (App. Ritesh Gochhi dr.8) lost about a length at the start.

AEON FLUX (App. Mustakim Alam dr.3) jumped inwards and made contact with MANWAR (Shrikant Kamble dr.2).

RENAISSANCE (N. B. Kuldeep dr. 6) lost about a length at the start.

After the Race, the V.O. reported the following:

GOLD BAR was trotted and found to be sound.

RACE NO.9(67) THE MARCHETTA TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1400 METRES - RUNNERS - 13

MADISON (Neeraj Rawal dr.4) lost about three lengths at the start. Trainer Nirad Karanjawala has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

FLASH MOB (Bhawani Singh, dr.6) lost about a length at the start.

Soon after the start, MARATHA ADMIRAL (N. S. Parmar) leaned out onto MINISTRY OF TIME (P. Trevor) who further shifted out thereby carrying LA DOLCE VITA (App. A. Omkar) outwards. Jockey David Allan has been cautioned.

After the Race, Jockey P. Trevor (MINISTRY OF TIME) reported that his mount was inclined outwards in the straight, despite his efforts. Trainer Aman Altaf Hussain has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to Race.

After the Race, the V.O. reported the following:

MAJORELLA BLUE was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and was found to be sore by right fore. As Such, the filly has to be passed fit the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to Race.

After the race, at the request of Trainer Nirad Karanjawala MADISON was scoped at the Saddling Enclousure and found to have EIPH (Grade III). As Such, the gelding is not permitted to Race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks and has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to Race.

The urine and blood samples of the winner of the 1^st,4^th,5^th ,6^th, 7^th ,8^th race, viz. FORTUNATE SON , SKANDHA , NEBULA, BAYCHIMO. FYNBOS, APPALACHIAN, and placed second in the 5^th,6^th,7^th, race ,viz LADY SCARLET,ZACHARIAS,KINGS GAMBIT , placed third in the 7^th race viz DREAMER and the special samples of BREAK POINT ( 1^ST Race) , HARRISON (6^TH Race) were collected for detection of prohibited substance.

The Sr. V.O. reported that PURE SOUL was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and was found to be sore by Right Hind. As such, the filly has to be passed fit by the Cub’s, V.O., before next accepting to race.

RE:TRACKWORK HELD ON 7^TH JANUARY 2026

The Sr. VO reported, AMELIA EARHART was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and was found to be Sore by Left Fore. As such, the filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to Race.

TRACKWORK HELD ON 8^TH JANAUARY 2026

The Equine Hospital reported, DAIANANE was scoped at the Equine Hospital on 8^th January 2026 and was found to have EIPH (Gr. III). As Such, the mare is not permitted to Race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks and has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

RE: POSITIVE REPORT IN THE POST RACE URINE SAMPLE OF b f “NEBULA” (WINNER) IN RACE NO. 25 THE PRINCE KARIM AGA KHAN IV MEMORIAL TROPHY ON 7^TH DECEMBER 2025

The Stewards of the Club at their meeting held on Saturday,10^th January 2026 interviewed Trainer Behram Cama, in connection with the Positive Report dated 7^th January 2026 issued by Quantilab, Mauritius, pertaining to the post-race urine sample of his charge b f NEBULA (Winner) in Race No. 25 The Prince Karim Aga Khan IV Memorial Trophy on 7^th December 2025, which states as follows:-

“The analysis of the above sample has shown the presence of Lamotrigine”

At the said meeting, Trainer Behram Cama was provided with a copy of the aforementioned report as per the rules. He was requested to inform the Sr. Veterinary Officer of the Club, in writing, whether he wishes to send the "B" sample for Confirmatory Analysis within 48 hours of opening the envelope identifying the sample, i.e., no later than 12^th January 2026, and also indicate his choice of laboratory for the Confirmatory Analysis of the split sample of his charge NEBULA. The available laboratories for such analysis are: The Hong Kong Jockey Club Laboratory, Hong Kong; LGC, Newmarket U.K.; Laboratoire Des Courses Hippiques (L.C.H.), France; Laboratory of Racing Chemistry (LRC), Japan. Failure to comply within the stipulated period shall result in the Stewards treating the report of the Primary Laboratory as final and conclusive.

Additionally, he will be required to ensure the presence of the Witnessing Analyst, if he so desires, at the laboratory conducting the Confirmatory Analysis for the urine within 30 days of the nomination. In the event that he is unable to arrange for the presence of the Witnessing Analyst within the said period, notwithstanding the nomination, the Confirmatory Analysis shall proceed in the absence of the Witnessing Analyst.

Further, in accordance with the Medication Rules presently in force, he is hereby informed that 50% of his runners shall be subjected to follow-up samples.

RE: RACE NO 46. THE LT COL GOVIND SINGH ( VRC) TROPHY DIST 1400 MTRS RUN ON 28^TH DECEMBER 2025

Approaching the 300 meters ALEXIOS (A.Sandesh) shifted out thereby carrying BUCKINGHAM outwards. Jockey A Sandesh has been cautioned

RE: TRACK WORK HELD ON 26^TH DECEMBER 2025.

The Equine Hospital reported, VILLANELLE was scoped at the Equine Hospital on 26^th December 2025 and was found to have Gr. III EIPH As Such, the mare is not permitted to Race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks and has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.
