RACE DAY REPORTS
RAILS WERE PLACED 6 METRES AWAY FROM THE ORIGINAL POINT FROM 2000 METRES TO 1100 METRES AND THEREAFTER 10 METRES WIDE TILL THE WINNING POST. RAILS WERE ALSO PLACED 3 METRES AWAY FROM ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1200 METRES (CHUTE) TO 1000 METRES.
On a request from Trainer L.V.R.Deshmukh, permission was granted to Trainer Nosher Cama to saddle his charge MACHIAVELLIANISM in the 6th race, at his (Trainer L.V.R.Deshkukh’s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO.1(43) – THE GREAT STRIDES PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1000 Metres – 8 Runners
CHAMPAGNE (App.Shahrukh Khan) was reluctant to be stalled. Trainer Rehanullah Khan has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
Apprentice Bhawani Singh (FLASHING HONOUR) reported that his mount was slow out and slow into stride and kept hanging in throughout. Trainer Karthik G has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
Jockey Suraj Narredu (PHOENIX FIRE) reported that his mount tried to run out at the start as well as in the straight. TRAINER Bezan Chenoy has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
JAMAICA (App.Yash Narredu) hung-out throughout the race. Trainer M.Narredu has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.
After the race, MAGNUM OPUS was observed to have a cut injury at the right fore cannon. FLASHING HONOUR & JAMAICA were found to be sound.
RACE NO.2(44) – THE RAJASTHAN ROYALS PLATE: (About) 1000 Metres – 6 Runners
The Sr.V.O. reported that in the process of being saddled, LOGANO played up and fell in the Saddling Enclosure. On examination, the filly was found to have suffered a cut injury at the right fore arm, hence she was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds. The Trainer is required to obtain a Fitness Certificate for the filly from the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
POLISHED CHROME and JOLEENE left the paddock without parading. Trainers Dallas Todywalla and Nirad Karanjawala have been cautioned.
ASHRAFIE (App.S.J.Sunil, dr.5) jumped out angling inwards and caused interference to VALENTINO (Dashrath Singh, dr.4) and thereafter continued to shift in under urgings and caused interference to SAINTS N SINNERS (Neeraj Rawal) and JOLEENE (A.Sandesh) who were racing on his inside. After questioning App.S.J.Sunil and not being satisfied with his explanation, he has been fined Rs.2000/- for failing to maintain a straight course.
After the race, JOLEENE was observed to have a cut injury at the right fore cannon. ASHRAFIE was found to be sound.
RACE NO.3(45) – THE STORM TRACKER PLATE: (About) 1800 Metres – 5 Runners
The Sr.V.O. reported that at the request of the Trainer, SPADES was scoped at the Equine Hospital and found to be EIPH (Gr.3). The colt is not to race for the stipulated period of four weeks and has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
After the race, SPADES and HIS HIGHNESS were found to be sound.
RACE NO.4(46) – THE STAR SUPREME DOUBLE STAKESE: (About) 1200 Metres – 7 Runners
Jockey Ishwar Pardeshi (HIDDEN ASSET) was observed to have looked back repeatedly throughout the race. After questioning Jockey Ishwar Pardeshi and not being satisfied with the explanation tendered by him, his Jockey’s license was suspend for 29th August, 2015 (permitted to ride work/mock race).
App.S.J.Sunil (FULL MOON) was fined Rs.1,000/- for screaming throughout the race for no apparent reason, thereby disturbing the other riders.
Jockey P.Trevor (CLASSIC MOMENT) was observed to use the whip in excess of the prescribed limit. However, since the horse was hanging in and the whip was used as a corrective measure, no action has been initiated.
After the race, ANOTHER CONQUEST was found to be sound.
RACE NO.5(47) – THE DINKOO N. CHENOY TROPHY (DIV.I): (About) 1200 Metres – 10 Runners
PRAELECTOR (Neeraj Rawal) was observed to have marginally shifted in near 600 metres due to a tightly packed field causing inconvenience to STORMYDAY (App.Akshay Gaikwad) Jockey Neeraj Rawal has been cautioned
App.S,J.Sunil (BULLION EXPRESS) has been fined Rs.3,000/- for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.
After the race, ANGEL IN THE SKY and THE SOPRANO were observed to have broken a blood vessel and are not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. Both the horses have to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
After the race, STORMYDAY was found to be sound.
RACE NO.6(48) – THE PUNE BOOKMAKERS’ ASSOCIATION TURF CLUB TROPHY (GR.3) : (About) 1400 Metres – 14 Runners
ROYAL SALUTE (A.Imran Khan) was extremely reluctant to be stalled and was loaded with much efforts. Trainer Prasanna Kumar P has been asked to give the horse more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
QUICK FIRE (Dashrath Singh, dr.10) jumped out angling inwards and caused inconvenience to TRANCE (Arshad Alam, dr.9), Jockey Dashrath Singh has been cautioned.
ROYAL SALUTE (A.Imran Khan, dr.8) drifted in soon after start causing interference to SILVER STREAK (S.Zervan dr.6). After questioning Jockey A.Imran Khan and not being satisfied with the explanation tendered by him , he has been fined Rs.1,000/- for failing to maintain a straight course soon after the start.
App.Yash Narredu (MAXIMUS) and Jockey D.K.Ashish (KNIGHT OF KE) reported that they did not get an opening in the straight.
An objection was lodged by Jockey A.Imran Khan, rider of ROYAL SALUTE (Placed Second) against ADAM (P.Trevor, Placed First). The reason being, as he took the turn he was ahead of ADAM. In the straight, the whip of Jockey P.Trevor hit on his hand once and once very close to the face of his horse. He was in pain thereafter and lost the race by a very short verdict.
After considering the submissions made by the Jockeys concerned, in conjunction with that of the Stipendiary Stewards and relying on their judgment, the Stewards decided to over-rule the objection.
Jockeys A.Imran Khan (ROYAL SALUTE) and Arshad Alam (TRANCE) have been fined Rs.1,000/- each for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on their respective mount.
After the race, DANCING PRANCES was observed to have a cut injury at the left hind bulb of heel.
RACE NO.7(49) – THE GREAT STRIDES PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1000 Metres – 8 Runners
MULTINATIONAL (P.Trevor, dr.3) drifted in soon after the start thereby causing interference to JORELL (App.Yash Narredu). Jockey P.Trevor has been cautioned.
After the race, AZALEA and BATMAN were found to be sound.
RACE NO.8(50) – THE DINKOO N. CHENOY TROPHY (DIV.II): (About) 1200 Metres – 9 Runners
PHOEBE (S.G.Prasad) was fractious and refused to be stalled, as such, the filly was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s Order. Trainer Sangramsinh N.Joshi has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
Jockey R.Shelar (SHIVALIK SKIES) reported that the filly was trying to stop soon after the start due to which he removed his legs from the stirrups to urge the filly. Trainer C.D.Katrak has been asked to show the filly to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a Mock Race, before next accepting to race her.
LUCKY PINEAPPLE(S.J.Sunil) was observed to drift out in the final stages of the race.
After the race, BABYLON was found to be sound, but having a cut injury at the right hind tendon. SPEED BABY had a gum injury.

The post race urine sample of the winners of all races viz. PHOENIX FIRE (1st race), POLISHED CHROME (2nd race), SWEEPING STAR (3rd race), HIMALAYAN QUEEN (4th race), ETERNAL ROYALTY (5th race), ADAM (6th race), ENTHRALLING (7th race) and LUCKY PINEAPPLE (8th race), as also that of ROYAL SALUTE & KNIGHT OF KE (6th race), and the special sample of ZANA (3rd race), ANGEL IN THE SKY and THE SOPRANO (5th race) and ENSIGN & BABYLON (9th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.

ADDITIONAL REPORT/S:
RE : CONFIRMATORY ANALYSIS REPORT OF THE RANDOM SAMPLE OF URINE TAKEN FROM “DAZZLE N DAZE” ON 22ND JUNE, 2015 - IN CHARGE OF TRAINER MAGANSINGH P.JODHA :
The Stewards of the Club at their meeting held on Sunday, 9th August, 2015 considered the Confirmatory Analysis Report dated 7th August, 2015 from L C H, France, in respect of the random sample of urine taken from DAZZLE N DAZE on 22nd June, 2015 which read as under :-
“…..It is hereby confirmed that the sample, which has been analyzed as set out above, contains TESTOSTERONE at a concentration above the international threshold”
A copy of the above report was given to Trainer Magansingh P.Jodha and he was asked to continue his own enquiries and to lead evidence, if any, to prove mitigating circumstances within 15 days and to also attend the enquiry to be held by the Stipendiary Stewards and the Sr.Veterinary Officer of the Club, as and when he would be required to.
