RACE NO.1 (116) – THE  GLASNOST PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1400 Metres – 9 Runners

 

SNOW FLAKE (C.Rajendra) and MY LUCKY STAR (Shrikant Kamble) lost about 3 lengths each, at the start.

 

SNOW FLAKE (C.Rajendra) lugged-in in the straight. Trainer S.Mangalorkar has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding. 

 

Jockey F.Irani (SECRET WEAPON) has been reprimanded for losing position for no apparent reason soon after the start and rode the race from the last position.  

 

After the race, PRINCESS KHATOUM, SNOW FLAKE, DAUGHTEROFDESTINY, SECRET WEAPON (examined on 9/9/2012) and MY LUCKY STAR (examined on 9/9/2012), were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.2 (117) – THE  RAPIER PLATE: (About) 2400 Metres – 4 Runners

 

Near 400 metres, CYPRESS POINT (S.Zervan) shifted in and made contact with TARA (C.S.Jodha) forcing the mare to shift in. Jockey S.Zervan has been fined Rs.3000/- for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

 

Jockey Imran Chisty (SWIFT MEMORIES) has been fined Rs.1000/- for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.

 

After the race, CYPRESS POINT & BRUNELLO were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.3(118)  – THE  CHAMPAGNE GOLD PLATE: (About) 1600 Metres – 5 Runners

 

ENLIGHTENMENT(R.K.Mahesh), after a slow jump out, did not raise a gallop and took no practical; part in the race. Trainer M.Narredu has been asked to take remedial measures and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter in a mock race, before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, LYRICAL SYMPHONY was found to be sound, but having a cut injury at the left elbow. ENLIGHTENMENT was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.4(119)  – THE  PLEASURES PLATE: (About) 1200 Metres – 8 Runners

 

Near 600 metres, BRAVE VISION (C.Rajendra) shifted out and carried SILVER SILVER (Dashrath Singh) outwards, who in turn carried EMERALD VALLEY (Shrikant Kamble) outwards. Jockey C.Rajendra has been fined Rs.3000/-. 

 

Near 400 metres, ALBUURZ (V.Chandrakant) weakened and dropped back, due to which DESTINED TO GLORY (Akshay) who was following, shifted out and in the process took GOLDEN MEMORY (D.K.Ashish) outwards.

 

After the race, GOLDEN MEMORY was found to be sound, but having a bruise at the left fore fetlock. EMERALD VALLEY had a bruise at the left hind bulb of heel. ALBUURZ was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.5(120) – THE  GIACOSA PLATE: (About) 2000 Metres – 8 Runners

 

At the start, KRYPTON (A.Sandesh) stumbled, whereby the Jockey lost his balance momentarily.

 

Approaching 1000 metres, FAIRY EMPRESS (C.S.Jodha) was steadied.

 

Approaching 600 metres, SUNTAN BEAUTY (Shrikant Kamble) weakened and dropped back and then shifted out and clipped the hind heels of FRIENDLY (T.S.Jodha), who was steadied and dropped out of the race. 

 

Jockey Shrikant Kamble (SUNTAN BEAUTY) has been reprimanded for taking a big break, so much so that the horse fizzled out of contention.  

 

After the race, SUNTAN BEAUTY was found to be sound, but having a gum injury. KRYPTON and FRIENDLY were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.6(121) – THE ODDS ON TROPHY: (About) 1400 Metres – 5 Runners

 

After the race, SCARLET PIMPERNEL was observed to have a cut injury at the left fore coronet. VITTORIA was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.7(122) – THE  AKKASAHEB MAHARAJ TROPHY: (About) 1200 Metres – 8 Runners

 

After being stalled, the head gear on STAR FUTURE (A.Ashhad Asbar) slipped off. The gelding was taken out and the gear put back.

 

NEFYN (Dashrath Singh) lost 2 lengths at the start.

 

At the start, ATTILA (S.Zervan) knuckled under.   

 

After the race, STAR FUTURE was found to be sore by the right fore leg.  The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, ATTILA, AMADEUS and ANCIENT WONDER were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.8(123)  – THE  SEPTEMBER HANDICAP: (About) 1600 Metres – 13 Runners

 

Trainer Subhag Singh has been fined Rs.1000/- for failing to produce the Registered Racing Colours in respect of his charge MILANO GREEN. The Jockey wore the Emergency Colours i.e. All Black.

 

At the start, RUN LIKE THE WIND (App.Sandeep Jadhav) tried to veer to the outside and lost ground in the process of being brought on an even keel.

 

At the start, REMBRANDT (S.Zervan, dr.7) jumped awkwardly outwards and went on to HONEST PLEASURE (Neeraj Rawal, dr.8).

 

Soon after the start, HONEST PLEASURE (Neeraj Rawal) was inconvenienced as BURGUNDY ROSE (A.Sandesh) shifted in. Jockey A.Sandesh has been cautioned. 

 

After the race, SONY DYNASTY, REMBRANDT, KING WARRIOR and MILANO GREEN were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.9(124) – THE GLASNOST PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1400 Metres – 9 Runners

 

Soon after the start, NEW WINGS (Shammi Khan) shifted in and carried ASHWA APOLLO (App Prasad) inwards. NEW WINGS continued to shift in and carried POUND FOOLISH (A.Sandesh) inwards, who in turn tightened QUEEN OF VENUS (Akshay), who lost position and in the process hampered the running of TRUMP CARD (F.Irani). Jockey Shammi Khan has been fined Rs.2000/-.

 

An enquiry has been initiated into the running and riding of QUEEN OF VENUS. Also Trainer C.D.Katrak lodged a complaint that the Jockey had not followed his instructions which were to be in 3rd or 4th position and to do his best.  

 

After the race, QUEEN OF VENUS was found to be sound.

The post race urine sample of the winners of the  3rd, 5th, 6th & 7th race, viz. LIMITLESS HILLS, MOUNTAIN FORCE, DANCING GLANCES & STAR FUTURE, and the special sample of REMBRANDT (8th race) and QUEEN OF VENUS (9th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
