RACE DAY REPORTS

RAILS WERE PLACED 2 METRES AWAY FROM ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1400 METRES (MILE CHUTE) TO 1000 METRES, 4 METRES AWAY AT 800 METRES, 6 METRES AWAY AT 600 METRES  AND THEREAFTER 8 METRES AWAY UP TO THE WINNING POST. FOR THE RACES STARTING FROM THE BACK STRETCH RAILS WERE PLACED FROM ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1200 METRES LEADING TO 2 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES.

 

On a request from Trainer Mansoor Shah, permission was granted to Trainer Sangramsinh N.Joshi to saddle his charges viz. ZARAR (1st race), JARAMA & SQUASH (6th race), NEPTUNE’S OCEAN (7th race), NIRBHAYA (8th race) and QUEEN OF VENUS (9th race), at his (Trainer Mansoor Shah’s) risk and responsibility.

Permission was granted to Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha to saddle the charges of Trainer Magansingh P.Jodha viz. ADAMS WING (2nd race), SQUARE MOON (3rd race), SWEET AS HONEY (5th race), UMARKOT (7th race), DAZZLE N DAZE (8th race) and RAJPUTANA RIFLES (9th race), at his (Trainer Magansingh P.Jodha’s) risk and responsibility.

On a request from Trainer Janardhan, permission was granted to Trainer Vinesh to saddle his charge EDUARDO in the 8th race, at his (Trainer Janardhan’s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO: 1 (114) THE ROMANTIC LIAISON PLATE: (About) 1000 Metres.  Runners - 10

 

At the start, ZARAR (App.S.Joseph, dr.9) jumped awkwardly outwards and went on to KATNISS (Kishore Kadam, dr.10).

Passing 200 metres, ICE GATE (App.Bhawani Singh) shifted in and inconvenienced DIAMONDZIP (C.S.Jodha).  App.Bhawani Singh has been cautioned.

 

MALZIE (Prabhu Naidu) was tightened and hampered for a run as DIAMONDZIP (C.S.Jodha) shifted-in in the final 100 metres. Jockey C.S.Jodha has been reprimanded.

 

ZARAR (App.S.Joseph) lugged out in the straight. Trainer Mansoor Shah has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding. Further, since this was the second occasion that the gelding had lugged out, an enquiry has been initiated to ascertain if the trainer had taken any remedial measures before racing the gelding on this day.

 

After the race, ZAAGROS was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, LAURUS TIKATI was observed to have an abrasion at the left hind bulb of heel.

 

RACE NO: 2 (115) THE BLUE RIBBON PLATE (DIV.II):  (About) 1400 Metres. Runners - 16

 

After the Declaration Stage, Trainer H.J.Antia informed that he had erroneously declared Jockey Arshad Alam on his charge ROYAL WISH and requested that he be permitted to replace the declared Jockey with A.Ashhad Asbar. The said change was permitted and Trainer H.J.Antia has been fined Rs.5,000/-.

 

Approaching 300 metres, TEMPEST (Y.S.Srinath) shifted out abruptly after making contact with UNICO CORAZON (App.S.J.Sunil) as the former rolled inwards, and make contact with ADAMS WING (App.D.S.Daman) and later went across the latter, who in turn went on to LHOTSE (App.S.Joseph). Jockey Y.S.Srinath has been fined Rs.3,000/-. 

 

UNICO CORAZON (App.S.J.Sunil) lugged out in the straight. Trainer M.K.Jadhav has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

MIGHTY SPLENDOR (Kavraj Singh) lugged-in in the straight. Trainer S.Magalorkar has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the mare.

 

After the race, UNICO CORAZON was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO: 3(116) THE MARCHETTA PLATE:  (About) 2000 Metres. Runners – 7

 

Near 200 metres, SHINING PATH (A.Ashhad Asbar) shifted in and inconvenienced SNOWING (Dashrath Singh).  Jockey A.Ashhad Asbar has been cautioned.

 

Jockey A.Ashhad Asbar (SHINING PATH) has been cautioned for allowing his mount to shift out under use of the whip in the final 100 metres.

 

After the race, SHINING PATH was found to be sound. STORMING HOME had lost its left fore plate.

 

RACE NO: 4(117) THE ESTONIA PLATE: (About) 1400 Metres.  Runners -11

 

BOMBARDIER (I.Pasha) and REMEMBER ME (C.S.Jodha) took an awkward fly jump. Trainers Asad Siddiqui and Imtiaz A.Sait have been asked to take remedial measures.

 

App.Bhawani Singh (TAMMY O) and Jockey Sandeep Jadhav (HAWKER) have been cautioned for allowing their respective mount to shift out under the use of the whip, in the final 100 metres.

 

After the race, FORTUNE HUNTER was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, TAMMY O was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO: 5(118)  THE PLEASURE HUNT PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1000 Metres.  Runners -18

 

At the start, CHIEF GUEST (R.Shelar) and FAJR (Hanumant Singh) jumped out awkwardly.

 

At the start, RISING WAVE (I.Pasha, dr.13) ducked in sharply and jostled with ETERNAL ROYALTY (A.Sandesh, dr.12).  Soon thereafter, BEAU ROYALE (J.Chinoy, dr.14) also ducked in and jostled with RISING WAVE (I.Pasha).

 

GRAND MARCH (App.S.J.Sunil) did not get a clear run from 350 metres till pass the post while racing behind NICANOR (V.Chandrakant) and in the final stages GRAND MARCH shifted out due to lack of room, which resulted in PALATIAL (Amyn Merchant) shying and ducking out.

 

Jockey A.J.Nilesh (KICKBOXER) reported that his mount lugged in throughout the race. Trainer Faisal A.Abbas has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

Jockey Y.S.Srinath (QUATRO) reported that his mount ran green during the race.

 

After the race, KICKBOXER was observed to have an abrasion at the right hind pastern and ETERNAL ROYALTY had lost its right hind plate. NICANOR and RISING WAVE were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO: 6(119) THE PRADEEP VIJAYAKAR TROPHY: (About) 1200 Metres.  Runners -12

 

At the start, ANOTHER CONQUEST (A.Ashhad Asbar) fly jumped.

 

At the start, ROYAL SEAL (Mudassar Nazar, dr.4) jumped awkwardly outwards and SECRET FLAME (C.S.Jodha, dr.5) jumped awkwardly inwards and made contact with each other.

 

Jockey A.Ashhad Asbar (ANOTHER CONQUEST, dr.6) has been cautioned for shifting in before the red marker.

 

Near 700 metres, SIMONA (Dashrath Singh) was keen and at the same time BAY OF SECRETS (D.K. Ashish) who was racing ahead, dropped back, due to which SIMONA (Dashrath Singh) was steadied.

 

Jockey Dashrath Singh (SIMONA) reported that his mount ran green during the race.

 

After the race, GODSENT and SECRET FLAME were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO: 7(120) THE INDIAN AIR FORCE TROPHY: (About) 1000 Metres. Runners – 14

 

UMARKOT (Kavraj Singh) was reluctant to be stalled. Trainer Magansingh P.Jodha has been asked to give the horse more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials before next accepting to race.

 

Near 600 metres, BASIC LIFE (A.Ashhad Asbar) shifted out and inconvenienced KAZURI (D.K.Ashish). Jockey A.Ashhad Asbar has been cautioned.

 

Passing 400 metres, DREAMZ UNLIMITED (Dashrath Singh) shifted out on to UMARKOT (Kavraj Singh) who went on ANTARTICA ZONE (App.Bhawani Singh), due to which Jockey D.K.Ashish (KAZURI) had to make his bid by manoeuvring around ANTARTICA ZONE (App Bhawani Singh).

 

Passing 200 metres, FLANKER (S.G.Prasad) shifted out under the use of the whip and hampered the running of ANTARTICA ZONE (App.Bhawani Singh).  Jockey S.G.Prasad has been cautioned.

 

After the race, ANTARTICA ZONE and WARRIOR PRINCE were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO: 8(121) THE BLUE RIBBON PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1400 Metres.  Runners -16

 

SCALANAYA (App.Bhawani Singh) lost about 3 lengths at the start.

 

An objection was lodged by Jockey Akshay, rider of EDUARDO (Placed Second) against AS GOOD AS GOLD (C.S.Jodha, Placed First). The reason being, when his horse was galloping in the straight, because of the winner AS GOOD AS GOLD, he received interference, whereby he had to ease up his mount, take him out and then push him again and he finished second.

 

After considering the submissions made by the Jockeys concerned, in conjunction with that of the Stipendiary Stewards  and relying on their judgment, the Stewards decided to overrule the objection and forfeit the deposit.

 

Passing 400 metres, NIRBHAYA (Amyn Merchant) leaned inwards, due to which TROPPA BELLA (A.Sandesh) shifted in and tightened VANGUARD (Vikram Walkar) who was severely hampered.

 

After the race, CONCORDE was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The horse has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, NIRBHAYA, SCALANAYA and VANGUARD (examined on 09/01/2015) were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO: 9(122) THE PLEASURE HUNT PLATE (DIV.I) : (About) 1000 Metres. Runners -19

 

QUIZICAL (Y.S.Srinath) and POLAR ZONE (App.S.J.Sunil) were restless in the stall and not allowing the riders to settle. Trainers M.Narredu and Sanjay Kolse have been asked to give their respective charge more gate practice and show them to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race. 

 

BLAVATSKY (A.Sandesh) hesitated at jump out and was slow to begin.

 

Jockey S.P.Ranjane (WIND AND STARS, dr.17) has been fined Rs.5,000/- for coming in sharply after the start and in the process went on to ZABARWAN (I. Pasha), who was steadied.

 

Near 700 metres, STORMYDAY (S.G.Prasad) drifted out due to the bend causing a chain reaction, in which PRETTY IN PATPONG (Hanumant Singh), DESERT RAGE (P.Trevor), ROYAL SAPPHIRE (D.K.Ashish) and PALACE GIRL (V.Chandrakant) were forced outwards and travelled wide.

 

After the race, TRENDING was found to be sore by the left fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, TAHRIR and ZABARWAN were found to be sound.

The post race urine sample of the winner of 5th, 6th and 9th race viz. ETERNAL ROYALTY, ANOTHER CONQUEST and EL WONDER, and the special sample of ILLIDAN & STRAWBERRY CRUSH (3rd race), YOUR ROYAL MAJESTY (4th race), AINRA (7th race) and VANGUARD (8th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.

RE: HORSE SCOPED AFTER MORNING TRACK WORK ON 05/01/2015 AND FOUND TO BE EIPH (GRADE III) :

 

The Sr.V.O. reported that at the request of Trainer Damodaran D.Pillai, WAR PRINCESS was scoped after morning track work on 05/01/2015 at the Equine Hospital and reported to be having EIPH (Grade III). The mare is not to race for the stipulated period of four weeks and has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

RE: MOCK RACE HELD ON 8TH JANUARY, 2015 ;

 

Trainer C.D.Katrak was fined Rs.1,000/- for running his charge BULL RUN in emergency colours “All  Black” in the above mock race.
