RACE DAY REPORTS
FALSE RAILS WERE PLACED 1.5 METRES WIDE FROM 1300 METRES TILL THE WINNING POST. FALSE RAILS WERE ALSO PLACED 4 METRES WIDE FROM 1200 METRES CHUTE TILL 1000 METRES.
RACE NO 1 (41) - THE IMPULSE PLATE : (About) 1600 Metres. Runners - 5
Jockey Neeraj Rawal (BLUE MELLON) reported that his mount hung out in the straight and in the final stages suddenly ducked in. Tr.Faisal A.Abbas has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
Jockey A.M.Tograllu (TORCELLO) has been cautioned for travelling wide while negotiating the bend and in the straight for no apparent reason.
After the race, BLUE MELLON & TORCELLO were found to be sound.
RACE NO 2 (42) - THE GOLDEN EDITION PLATE : (About) 2000 Metres. Runners – 4
At the request of Trainer Narendra Lagad, BLACK PHANTOM was examined at 1215 hours on 07/08/2010 and found to be having fever. As such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on veterinary grounds.
CHOPASNI (C.S.Jodha) planted and had to be assisted out of the gates. Trainer Magansingh P.Jodha has been asked to take remedial measures and to show the mare to the satisfaction of the Starter in a Mock Race before next accepting to race.
DRAMA QUEEN (B.Prakash) missed the jump and lost about a length at the start.
Near 600 metres, DRAMA QUEEN (B.Prakash) and WINNING TREAT (Dashrath Singh) made contact with each other.
RACE NO 3 (43) – THE GAMBLE FOR LOVE TROPHY: (About) 2000 Metres. Runners - 4
TSESEBE (N.S.Parmar) took a fly jump and COSMOPOLITAN (B.Prakash) was slow out, both losing about 2 lengths each, at the start.
After the race, COSMOPOLITAN was found to be sound.
RACE NO 4 (44) – THE ACE PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1000 Metres. Runners - 12
FESTIVE LIGHT (A.M.Tograllu) and LADY GENEREUSE (Altaf Sayyed) were slowly out and lost about 3 lengths each at the start. Since FESTIVE LIGHT had behaved in a similar manner in its previous outing, Trainer Vinay Lagad has been asked to give the mare more gate practice and to show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
At the start, DEVIL IN DISGUISE (App.M.A.Roushan) jumped out awkwardly towards outwards and then continued to veer outwards. Trainer Faisal A.Abbas has been asked to show the gelding in a Mock race to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards before next accepting to race.
Soon after the start, ADAMS LAW (C.S.Jodha) was steadied as WHISPERING WILLOWS (Shrikant Kamble) shifted in and went on the SEA BUCANEER (Vikram Jodha) who in turn shifted in and caused PROUD STAR (S.N.Chavan) to be steadied by its Rider. Jockey Shrikant Kamble has been cautioned for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.
SEA BUCANEER (Vikram Jodha) was ridden in check between 800 metres and 600 metres while behind ADAMS LAW (C.S.Jodha).
Soon on entering the straight, ADAMS LAW (C.S.Jodha) shifted out and caused ALBUURZ (Imran Chisty) to shift out and was steadied when awkwardly placed behind the heels of PROUD STAR (S.N.Chavan). Jockey C.S.Jodha has been cautioned for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.
Following a poor performance, WHISPERING WILLOWS was subjected to a vet examination. The Sr.V.O. reported that after completion of the race, WHISPERING WILLOWS stopped on the track. On examination, it was found that the filly had suffered clip injury on the left hind tendon. The filly was sent to the Equine Hospital in the Horse Ambulance.
After the race, ALBUURZ was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.
RACE NO 5 (45) – THE DR.K.VASUDEVAN TROPHY (DIV.II): (About) 1200 Metres. Runners - 9
Trainer Narendra Lagad requested for withdrawal of his charge CROWNED PRINCESS on late realization (after the Declaration stage) of the medication given to the filly, as such, CROWNED PRINCESS was permitted to be withdrawn and Trainer Narendra Lagad has been fined Rs.15,000/- as also the cost of forwarding and analysis of the urine sample for testing.
On questioning, Jockey R.Biramne (SEA WARRIOR) stated that his instructions were to ride from a position wherever he could find himself. He added that he was forced to travel wide while negotiating the bend since there were horses on his inside and after that he has ridden out. The explanation was noted.
After the race, RIVER CHIEFTAIN & STAR EMPIRE were found to be sound.
RACE NO 6 (46) - THE ALDERBURGH PLATE: (About) 1000 Metres. Runners - 9
Near 900 metres, ESTEVEZ (App.P.Trevor) was steadied when ATTILA (N.S.Parmar) shifted in. Jockey N.S.Parmar has been advised to be more careful in future.
Near 300 metres, SEA TREASURE (J.E.Pereira) shifted in as the Jockey tapped his mount and caused severe interference to DEAR LIZA (B.Prakash). Jockey J.E.Pereira has been reported to the Stewards for Careless Riding.
After the race, AMBEROGIO, SEA TREASURE, DYNAMIC CAT & SILVER SANDS were found to be sound.
RACE NO 7 (47) – THE DR.K.VASUDEVAN TROPHY (DIV.I) : About) 1200 Metres. Runners – 10
At the start, VIBGYOR (App.D.Akkshay) jumped out awkwardly and as the gelding was being steadied, lost ground.
Near 1100 metres, FINFOOT (N.S.Parmar) raced keenly and the Jockey allowed his mount to shift out and went on to ALWAYS SMILE (C.S.Jodha), who shifted out and inconvenienced LAKHADEMA (Neeraj Rawal) who travelled wide. Jockey N.S.Parmar has been fined Rs.2000/- for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.
Near 500 metres, HUNTER BAY (R.Shelar) weakened due to which LAKHADEMA (Neeraj Rawal) who was following, had to shift out to progress in the race.
Soon on entering the straight, CATALYST (J.Chinoy) shifted out hampered the running of FORWARD CHARGE (Ladjadj Stephane) who in turn inconvenienced HUNTER BAY (R.Shelar). Jockey J.Chinoy has been fined Rs.3000/- for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.
ALWAYS
SMILE (CS Jodha) lugged-in during the race. Trainer H.J.Antia has been asked to
take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
The Sr.V.O. reported that FINFOOT showed signs of distress after completion of the race. The filly was given first aid treatment and sent to the stables.
After the race, LAKHADEMA, HUNTER BAY & ALWAYS SMILE were found to be sound. LAKHADEMA had a clip injury on the left hind pastern.
RACE NO 8 (48) - THE A.J.WADIA PLATE : (About) 1400 Metres. Runners - 11
At the start, GRANT PARK (S.Sunil) jumped out awkwardly and shifted out and made contact with SWEET NOTHINGS (Neeraj Rawal).
Soon after the start, OCEAN ADMIRAL (C.Rajendra)
shifted in and went on to RED PASSION (Imran Chisty) who in turn shifted in
hampered the running of DAUGHTEROFDESTINY (C.S.Jodha). Jockey C.Rajendra has
been fined Rs.2000/- for failing to exercise proper control over his
mount.
After the race, DAUGHTEROFDESTINY was observed to have a cut injury on the left hind pastern.
RACE NO 9 (49) – THE ACE PLATE (DIV.I) : (About) 1000 Metres. Runners - 12
CRÈME DE LA CRÈME (Ladjadj Stephane) reared up on start and lost about 2 lengths. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and to show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials before next accepting to race.
After the race, EXCELLTASTIC was found to be sound.
The urine sample of winner of 4th, 6th & 7th race viz. PROUD STAR, ATTILA & STAR FUTURE and the special sample of CROWNED PRINCESS & STAR EMPIRE (5th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.

GENERAL - MOCK RACE HELD AFTER THE RACES ON 07/08/2010:
The Sr.V.O. reported that after the mock race, ARISTOCRATICAL was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.
