At the start, RUN LIKE THE WIND (Kavraj Singh) jumped out awkwardly.  FAJR (S.Sunil) was steadied.

An objection was lodged by Jockey Daniel M.Grant,  rider of  ZANTHOS (Placed Second) against VICTOIRE (I.Pasha, Placed First).  The reason being, near 200 metres, VICTOIRE shifted out violently whereby he had to check his horse for a stride or two which cost him the race.

At the behest of the Stipendiary Stewards, a Stewards’ Enquiry was also held in this race. The reason being, VICTOIRE shifted out near 300 metres on to FAJR (S.Sunil) who in turn shifted out and interfered with GLOWING MIST (C.S.Jodha) who clipped the heels of NIGELLA (Zameer Sayyed) and got unbalanced and fell and in the process collided with MOON RAKER (P Trevor) who was also unbalanced.

After considering the submissions made by the Jockeys concerned, in conjunction with that of the Stipendiary Stewards  and relying on their judgment, the Stewards decided to over-rule the objection lodged by Jockey Daniel M.Grant and to forfeit his deposit.  As for the Stewards Enquiry, the Stewards decided that no change in the order of placing was called for.
