RACE DAY REPORTS

 

RAILS WERE PLACED  5 METRES AWAY FROM  ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1400 METRES (MILE CHUTE) TO 1200 METRES, 7 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES, 8 METRES AWAY AT 800 METRES AND THEREAFTER 9 METRES AWAY UP TO THE WINNING POST.  FOR THE RACES STARTING FROM THE BACK STRETCH, RAILS WERE PLACED FROM ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1200 METRES LEADING TO 4 METRES AWAY AT 1100 METRES AND 7 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES.

RACE NO.1(109) – THE BLUE RIBBON PLATE: (About) 1000 Metres – Runners - 13 

 

GOOD MEMORY (S. Mosin) took an awkward fly jump.

 

At the start, ZAFIRAH (Shrikant Kamble, dr.10) jumped inwards thereby starting a chain reaction due to which RESILIENT (App. K. Nazil, dr.8) and FLYING TRIGGER (R. Shelar, dr.7) had to be checked and dropped back.

 

An enquiry has been initiated into the running and riding of LAS SALINAS and a report will be submitted shortly.

 

After the race, MOUNTAIN TREASURE was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, LAS SALINAS and FLYING TRIGGER were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.2(110) – THE MARCHETTA PLATE : (About) 2400 Metres – Runners - 4

 

At the start, JIGSAW (App. Yash Narredu, dr. 1) shifted out and at the same time DAISHONIN (Neeraj Rawal, dr.3) shifted in, due to which PHENOMENAL MEMORY (A. Sandesh, dr.2) was tightened for room and dropped back.

 

Soon after the start, SAVAGE BEAUTY (Suraj Narredu, dr.4) shifted in, due to which PHENOMENAL MEMORY (A. Sandesh, dr.2) had to be checked and dropped back. Jockey Suraj Narredu has been fined Rs.1,000/-.

 

Jockey Neeraj Rawal (DAISHONIN) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. On questioning, Jockey Neeraj Rawal stated that since his mount hung-in in the straight, he had used the whip as a corrective measure. Trainer Rehanullah Khan has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

After the race, DAISHONIN was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.3(111)  – THE ESTONIA PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1200 Metres – Runners – 11

 

At the start, POLAR ZONE (App. K. Nazil, dr.3) jumped out inwards and had to be steadied.

 

At the start, ASSANGE (T. S. Jodha, dr.5) shifted out on to ZATCHI (Akash Agarwal, dr.6) and at the same time LOCARNO (App. Parbat Singh, dr.8) shifted in, due to which ALISHAS PET (A. Sandesh, dr.7) had to be steadied.

 

SPEED MAGIC (S. G. Prasad) was observed to have hung out in the straight. Trainer Sangramsinh N. Joshi has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

After the race, GODSENT, ASSANGE and SPEED MAGIC were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.4(112) – THE ASTAPI TROPHY: (About) 1000 Metres – Runners -  7

 

At the start, ROCK IN RIO (Dashrath Singh, dr. 4) shifted in on to MASTER SERGEANT (App. S. J. Sunil, dr.3).

 

Passing 400 metres, APPLE BETTY (A. Sandesh) shifted out on to MISS ARAZAN (App. Yash Narredu). On questioning, Jockey A, Sandesh stated that his mount hung out in the straight. Trainer Karthik G has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

MASTER SERGEANT (App. S. J. Sunil) was observed to have maintained an erratic course in the straight.

 

After the race, App. Yash Narredu (MISS ARAZAN) reported that his mount maintained an erratic course throughout the race.

 

After the race, HURRICANE STORM and APPLE BETTY were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.5(113) – THE WARSAW PACT TROPHY: (About) 1000 Metres – Runners - 10

 

At the start, YOU’RE THE BOSS (App. K. Nazil, dr.5) shifted in due to which FLYING SHOW (Dharmendar, dr.4) was forced to check and drop back. App. K. Nazil has been fined Rs.1,000/-.

 

At the start, CAPTAIN COURAGE (P. Trevor, dr.9) shifted in on to LOGANO (App. Parbat Singh, dr.8), who in turn went on to ENTHRALLING (App. Raghuveer Singh, dr.7), who had to be steadied.

 

Soon after the start, TINOGONA (App. G. Amit) shifted in and tightened LOGANO (App. Parbat Singh) who was forced to check and drop back. App. G. Amit has been fined Rs.1,000/-.

 

After the race, LOGANO and BE CAUTIOUS were found to be sore by the right fore leg and left fore leg respectively. Both the horses have to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, FORTUNE HUNTER and ENTHRALLING were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.6(114) – THE ALLAIRE PLATE: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 12

 

At the start, SANS PEUR (P. Trevor, dr.4) shifted out and at the same time MAD HATTER (Kishore Kadam, dr. 6) shifted in, due to which BATMAN (C. S. Jodha, dr.5) had to be steadied.

 

At the start, FRANKEST (Amyn Merchant, dr.7) shifted out on to THE BIG RIVIVAL (J. E. Pereira, dr. 8), who in turn went on to JETAWAY (App. Yash Narredu, dr.9), who was steadied.

 

Approaching 1000 metres, FRANKEST (Amyn Merchant) shifted in on to SANS PEUR (P. Trevor), who in turn went on to BATMAN (C. S. Jodha). On questioning, Jockey Amyn Merchant stated that in his effort to settle his mount, it shifted in.

 

Approaching 800 metres, ALIBOXER (App. S. J. Sunil) shifted in on to  STAR HIGHNESS (Shrikant Kamble), forcing the latter to drop back.

 

Passing 800 metres, BATMAN (C. S. Jodha) shifted out thereby causing interference to GLORIOUS GIFT (Hanumant Singh) and THE BIG REVIVAL (J. E. Pereira). Jockey C. S. Jodha has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

 

Approaching 200 metres, OSCILLATION (S. G. Prasad) shifted in under the use of the whip and bumped MAD HATTER (Kishore Kadam). Jockey S. G. Prasad has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

 

After the race, FRANKEST, MAD HATTER, OSCILLATION and GLORIOUS GIFT were found to be sound.  FRANKEST had lost its right hind plate. 

 

RACE NO.7(115) – THE ESTONIA PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1200 Metres – Runners – 12

 

At the start, ANOTHER ACE (P. Trevor, dr.3) shifted out on to ASAHI (Kishore Kadam, dr.4).

 

Passing 1000 metres, ASAHI (Kishore Kadam) shifted in on to COLD PLAY (App. Bhawani Singh), forcing the latter to check and drop back. Jockey Kishore Kadam has been cautioned.

 

CRITICAL STRIKE (S. G. Prasad) was observed to have hung out in the straight, finishing the race on the outer rails. Trainer Sangramsinh N. Joshi has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

After the race, RUNNING STORM and CRITICAL STRIKE (examined on 08/01/2016) were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.8(116) – THE PLEASURE HUNT PLATE: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners – 15

 

SEACRETS (J. Chinoy) was reluctant to be stalled. COOL RUNNINGS (A.Sandesh) was restless in the stall. Trainers Adhirajsingh Jodha and S.K.Sunderji have been asked to give their respective charge more gate practice and show them to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

MILITARY GIRL (Kishore Kadam) jumped out slow, losing about a length at the start.

 

At the start, BORN TO WIN (Zameer Sayyed, dr.1) shifted out on to ESSENCE OF LOVE (App.S.A.Amit, dr.2) who had to be steadied.

 

At the start, SPANISH SAGA (Suraj Narredu, dr.4) jumped out awkwardly and went on to BLAVATSKY (C. S. Jodha, dr.5), causing the latter to be checked.

 

At the start, HOT PEPPER (S. Mosin, dr.7) was observed to have taken a fly jump, due to which the gelding went out and bumped MZURI App. Yash Narredu, dr.8).

 

Approaching 200 metres, HOT PEPPER (S.Mosin) shifted out on to MZURI (App.Yash Narredu). Jockey S.Mosin has been cautioned.

 

Jockey Suraj Narredu (SPANISH SAGA) has been fined Rs.1,000/- for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount

 

The Stipendiary Stewards will be looking into the running and riding of MAGNOLIA and PADMAKOSA and a report will be submitted shortly.

 

The Stipendiary Stewards have initiated an enquiry into the comparative performance of ESSENCE OF LOVE and a report will be submitted shortly.

 

After the race, HOT PEPPER, MZURI, SEACRETS and BORN TO WIN were found to be sound.

The post race urine sample of the winners of all races viz. BLACKBEAN (1st race), JIGSAW (2nd race), ALISHAS PET (3rd race), ETERNAL SUNSHINE (4th race), CAPTAIN COURAGE (5th race), BATMAN (6th race), GOVERNOR GENERAL (7th race) and ESSENCE OF LOVE (8th race), and the special samples of BE CAUTIOUS (5th race) and PADMAKOSA (8th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.

Jockey R. Vaibhav (JUST BY CHANCE) has been fined Rs.3,000/- for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount and NOT Rs.1,000/- as erroneously printed in the Race Day Reports of 3rd January, 2016.

APPEAL FROM TRAINER C.RAJENDRA IN RESPECT OF THE FINE OF RS.5,000/- IMPOSED ON HIM FOR FAILING TO DECLARE HIS CHARGE “SHIVALIK ROSE” IN RACE NO.64 – THE BOURBON KING PLATE (DIV.II) RUN ON 17TH DECEMBER, 2015 :

 

The Stewards of the Club at their meeting held on Thursday, 7th January, 2015 having heard Trainer C. Rajendra, adjourned the hearing and directed that the owner, Mr. Nirmal Singh, be asked to appear before them in reference to the captioned subject matter.
