RACE DAY REPORTS

 

RAILS ARE PLACED AT THERE ORIGINAL POINT.

 

RACE NO.1 (181) – THE RAPIER MILLION: (ABOUT) 1200 METRES – RUNNERS - 9

 

At the request of Trainer Shazaan Shah, LION KING was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. at 08.50 a.m. on 3rd April 2025 and was found to have EIPH (Gr.III). As such the gelding was certified unfit to race and was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds and has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

 

On arrival at the starting gate, at the request of Jockey Bhawani Singh., SENTINEL was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and was found to be sore by right fore. As such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under the Starters order and has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

 

At the start, LIGHTNING BLAZE (App. S. Siddharth, dr.1) jumped outwards at the same time TAABIIR (S. J. Sunil, dr.3) leaned inwards thereby bumping and inconveniencing SUSSING (Antony Raj S., dr. 2) drawn between them.

 

At the start, PURPLE MARTINI (Neeraj Rawal, dr.7) jumped inwards and brushed the haunches of SORRENTO SECRET (App. N. Bhosale, dr. 6) thereafter RED MERLOT (A. Prakash, dr.5) shifted in thereby bumping PURPLE MARTINI , in the process unbalancing itself and had to be checked.

 

It was observed that Jockey S. J. Sunil (TAABIIR) had used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. This being his second offence during the current Mumbai Meeting 2024/25, he has been fined Rs.5,000/-.

 

The Sr. V.O. reported that at the request of Trainer Faisal A. Abbas, after the race MISS MAGIC was scoped at the sampling yard and was observed to have EIPH (Gr.III), as such  the filly is not permitted to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks and has to be passed fit by the  Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, TAABIIR & POPULAIRE were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.2 (182) – THE BOMBAY CLUB  MULTI - MILLION: (ABOUT) 1600 METRES – RUNNERS - 15

 

On arrival at the starting gate, DONATELLA (S. J. Sunil) was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and certified fit to race.

 

Jockey Yash Narredu (HEART) reported that he was not ready as the start was affected. The Stipendiary Stewards are looking into the same and a report will be submitted shortly.  

 

At the start, PRISTINE GLORY (Antony Raj S., dr.4) jumped outwards at the same time ARABESKA (N. S. Parmar, dr. 6) jumped inwards thereby tightening AQUILIUS (S. Zervan, dr.5) drawn between them.

 

Approaching the 150 metres, MIRACLE OF HANUKAH (App. Mustakim Alam) shifted in and carried AQUILIUS (S. Zervan) inwards. App. Mustakim Alam has been severely cautioned.

 

In the final stages of the race, CARADOC (Suraj Narredu) racing between DEDICATION (A. Sandesh) and SUPERSTAR (Vivek G.) was observed to have been inconvenienced and had to be steadied. Jockeys A. Sandesh and Vivek G. have been cautioned.

 

After the race, ABHYANKAR was trotted and found to be sound.

 

After the race, DONATELLA was trotted and found to be sound but was observed to have an injury on its right hind pastern.

 

After the race, PRISTINE GLORY was observed to have a gum injury.

 

RACE NO.3 (183) – THE MAHARAJA SIR HARISINGHJI TROPHY (GRADE 3): (ABOUT) 1600 METRES – RUNNERS - 8

 

On arrival at the starting gate, CHARLIE was examined by the Clubs Sr. V.O and was found to be sore by left fore and was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starters order and has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

 

EL GRECO (Neeraj Rawal, dr.2) jumped out slowly thereby losing about a length at the start.

 

An objection was lodged by Jockey Yash Narredu rider of A STAR IS BORN  placed third by the judge  against  Jockey P. Trevor  rider of  SEIGE COURAGEOUS  placed first by the judge, reason being “coming into the 400 metres the winner had leaned onto him and tightened him, after that approaching the 300 metres had bumped and pushed him behind the horse in front taking his  ground where he had to stop riding for at least 50 metres which cost him a certain race”, the Stewards having heard both the Jockeys  and having watched the race on the CCTV cameras in conjunction with the Stipendiary Stewards and acting on their own observations decided to overrule  the objection and termed it as an accidental interference, the placings  remain unaltered as declared by the Judge.

 

It was observed that Jockey P. Trevor (SIEGE COURAGEOUS) had used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. After the race, Jockey P. Trevor reported that his mount hung-in the straight, despite his efforts as the same was borne out from the video of the race,  as such no action has been initiated against the Jockey. However, Trainer Prasanna Kumar has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race

 

After the race, Jockey N. S. Parmar (MOJITO) reported that he was held up for room until passing the 400 metres. Further, he stated that his mount was inclined out in the straight, despite his efforts. As such, Trainer M. K. Jadhav has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

 

It was observed that Jockey David Allan (ONCE YOU GO BLACK) had used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. This being his first offence during the current Mumbai Meeting 2024/25, he has been fined Rs.3,000/-.

 

It was observed that Jockey A. Prakash (CHAGALL) had used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. This being his first offence during the current Mumbai Meeting 2024/25, he has been fined Rs.3,000/-.

 

RACE NO.4 (184) – THE C. N. WADIA GOLD CUP (GRADE 2) POWERED BY MR. ZAVARAY S. POONAWALLA: (ABOUT) 2400 METRES – RUNNERS - 12

 

DASH (App. Mustakim Alam, dr.2) planted in the stall thereby taking no practical part in the race. Trainer M. Narredu has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the colt in two mock races to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards, before next accepting to race.

 

At the start, REGAL COMMAND (N. S. Parmar dr.7) jumped outwards and went across EVALDO (David Allan, dr.8).

 

Soon after the start, RASPUTIN (A. Prakash, dr.1) leaned outwards and went across MESCALITO (Prashant. P. Dhebe, dr.3)

 

Passing the 2000 meters DUKE OF TUSCANY (Vivek G.) leaned in and went across TREVALIUS (Neeraj Rawal) who had to be steadied. Jockey Vivek G. has been cautioned.

 

Jockey Vivek G. (DUKE OF TUSCANY) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. This being his 2nd offence during the current Mumbai Meeting 2024/25, he has been fined Rs.5,000/-.

 

After the race, HIGH COMMAND was observed to have an injury on its right hind fetlock.

 

After the race, PYRITE was observed to have an injury on its right hind above the fetlock.

 

RACE NO.5 (185) – THE AHEAD OF MY TIME MILLION: (ABOUT) 1200 METRES – RUNNERS - 6

 

At the start, WIN WIN (David Allan, dr.6) jumped outwards and had to be steadied.

 

Passing the 1000 metres, due to a tightly packed field THE ATHABASCA (N. B. Kuldeep) racing between QUICKER (App. Bharat Singh) and VINCERO (A. Sandesh) had to be steadied.

 

Passing the 200 metres, VINCERO (A. Sandesh) leaned outwards onto WIN WIN (David Allan) who in turn shifted out and went across THE ATHABASCA (N. B. Kuldeep) causing the latter to check and change course. Jockey A. Sandesh has been cautioned.

 

It was observed that App. Mustakim Alam (GODDES OF DAWN) did not wear his racing goggles throughout the race As such, he is being fined Rs.500/- for his lapse.

 

After the race, Jockey P. Trevor (AMADEO) reported that his mount was not galloping fluently throughout the race. On being subjected to veterinary examination the gelding was found to be sound.

 

After the race, VINCERO was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not permitted to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. As such, the colt has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race 

  

After the race, WIN WIN was observed to have an injury on  its left hind cannon.

 

RACE NO.6 (186) – POONAWALLA STUD FARMS AUCTION SALE STAKES: (ABOUT) 1400 METRES – RUNNERS - 9

 

CONJURE was scratched at the acceptance stage as he did not hold a valid starting stall certified. As such, Trainer B. Prithviraj has been fined Rs.1,000/- for his lapse 

 

SOCIAL BUTTERFLY (David Allan, dr.9) was reluctant to be stalled, in view of a similar behavior of the filly in her previous outing. Trainer Dallas Todywalla has been asked to show his charge in a mock race to the satisfaction of the Starter before next accepting to race.

 

Soon after the start, ALLEZ L’ETOILE (App. Mustakim Alam) shifted out at the same time VICTORIOUS OMEN (S. Zervan) shifted in under urgings thereby inconveniencing OURENSE (A. Sandesh) who had to be steadied. Jockey S. Zervan and App. Mustakim Alam have been cautioned.

 

After the race, CHARISMATIC was trotted and found to be sound.

 

After the race, ALL FOR LOVE was observed to have an injury on its right hind pastern.

 

RACE NO.7 (187) – THE HERITAGE OF MUMBAI MILLION: (ABOUT) 1400 METRES – RUNNERS - 8

 

At the start, MEDUSA (App. Bharat Singh, dr.5) jumped inwards at the same time FLASHING FAMOUS (Antony Raj S., dr.3) jumped outwards and inconvenienced ALEXANDRIA (A. Prakash) who was marginally slow to begin.

 

ALEXANDRIA (A. Prakash) was observed to be inclined outwards in the straight, despite his efforts. Trainer Altamaash A. Ahmed has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, MEDUSA was observed to have an injury on above right hock.

SUSSING,DEDICATION, SIEGE COURAGEOUS, ONCE YOU GO BLACK, DYF, PYRITE,QUICKER, SOCIAL BUTTRFLY & THE MILENIUS FORCE and the special samples of MISS MAGIC (1st race), VINCERO (5th race) & CHARISMATIC (6th race) were collected for detection of prohibited substances.
