RACE DAY REPORTS

 

RAILS WERE PLACED AT ITS ORIGINAL POSITION FROM 2000 METRES TO 1400 METRES, 3 METRES WIDE AT 1200 METRES, 5 METRES WIDE AT 1000 METRES 7 METRES WIDE AT 800 METRES 8 METRES WIDE AT 600 METRES 9 METRES WIDE AT 400 METRES THEREAFTER 10 METRES WIDE UP TO THE WINNING POST.

 

RAILS WERE PLACED 4 METRES WIDE IN THE CHUTE.

 

On a request from Trainer Imtiaz A. Sait, permission was granted to Trainer Himmat Singh to saddle his charges FREEDOM in the 2nd race, RASPUTIN & TRULY EPIC in the 4th race, SUPREME SPIRIT in the 5th race, FLAMING LAMBORGINI & KIEFER in the 6th race and OPUS DEI in the 7th race, at his own (Trainer Imtaiz A. Sait’s) risk and responsibility.

 

RACE NO.1(17) – THE COLOMBIANA PLATE: (ABOUT) 1000 METRES – RUNNERS -  7

 

DOWSABEL (Amyn Merchant, dr.7) jumped out awkwardly thereby losing two lengths at the start.

 

Approaching the 150 metres, ZUKOR (A. K. Aniket) shifted in under urgings thereby tightening and inconveniencing SLAM DUNK (S. A. Amit). Jockey A. K. Aniket has been cautioned.

 

RACE NO.2(18) – THE UNICORN PLATE: (ABOUT) 1800 METRES – RUNNERS -  9

 

WILD SPIRIT (A. K. Aniket, dr.3) planted in the stall taking no practical part in the race. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to show his charge in a mock race to the satisfaction of the Starter, before next accepting to race.

 

MASTERY (M. S. Deora, dr.8) tried to duck as the start was effected thereby losing 3 lengths at the start. The Stipendiary Stewards will be looking into the same and a report will be submitted shortly.

 

At the start, FREEDOM (S. Saqlain, dr.2) jumped inwards and made contact with GIMME (Prashant P. Dhebe, dr.1) who had to be steadied.

 

After the race, Jockey Prashant P. Dhebe (GIMME) reported that his mount was inclined outwards from the 600 metres. Trainer M. K. Jadhav has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, GIMME was trotted and found to be sound.

 

The Equine Hospital reported that COME BACK PLEASE was found sore - left eye.

 

RACE NO.3(19) – THE TO THE MANOR BORN PLATE: (ABOUT) 1400 METRES – RUNNERS -  8

 

On the arrival at the start, Jockey K. Nazil (MYSTERIOUS GIRL) reported that the iron stirrups used on his mount had got damaged and was left unserviceable, the same was replaced with the clubs gear.

 

MYSTERIOUS GIRL (K. Nazil, dr.8) planted in the stall taking no practical part in the race. Trainer Hosidar Daji has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the mare to the satisfaction of the Starter in a mock race, before the next accepting to race.

 

TREASURE GOLD (R. Shelar, dr.2) jumped out slowly losing about 5 lengths at the start. Trainer Bezan Chenoy has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before the next accepting to race.

 

At the start, CIPHER (S. Saqlain, dr.6) jumped inwards thereby brushing the gates and made contact with LOVE WARRIOR (P. Vinod, dr.5).

 

At the start, DAULAT MAI (App. Mustakim Alam, dr.7) jumped outwards and had to be steadied.

 

After the race, LOVE WARRIOR was found to be sore by left fore. The mare has to be passed fit by Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, MYSTERIOUS GIRL was found to have abrasion on left fore cannon and elbow.

 

RACE NO.4(20) – THE EVE CHAMPION TROPHY  (Grade 3): (ABOUT) 2000 METRES –RUNNERS- 8

 

Passing the 700 metres, MOJITO (N. S. Parmar) shifted in and went across DYF (Akshay Kumar) causing the latter to be checked. After questioning, Jockey N. S. Parmar has been severely reprimanded.

 

Passing the 600 metres, DANGEROUS (P. S. Chouhan) leaned inwards thereby tightening and inconveniencing SUPERNATURAL (P. Trevor) and CHOPIN (Neeraj Rawal) causing both the horses to be checked. After questioning, Jockey P. S. Chouhan has been fined Rs.3,000/-.

 

RACE NO.5(21) – THE AUGUST HANDICAP: (ABOUT) 1400 METRES – RUNNERS -  13

 

AXLROD (T. S. Jodha) came into the paddock with a snaffle bit for which permission was not obtained, the same was replaced with a chifney bit before the horse left the paddock. In view of the lapse, Trainer Nosher Cama has been fined Rs.1,000/-.

 

SUPREME SPIRIT was fractious and in the process of stalling reared up and dislodged its rider as such the filly was examined by the Club’s Sr. V O., who certified her fit to race. Trainer Imtiaz A. Sait has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the filly to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

Passing the 400 metres, MI ARION (S. Saqlain) shifted out under urgings thereby tightening and inconveniencing IMPUNITY (Neeraj Rawal) and GLACIER (N. S. Parmar) causing both the horses to be checked. After questioning, Jockey S. Saqlain has been fined Rs.3,000/-.

 

Passing the 400 metres, STAR GALLERY (Vivek G.) was observed to have drifted out, despite the riders efforts. Trainer S. Waheed has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, Jockey Bhawani Singh (SUPREME SPIRIT) reported that his saddle had slipped during the race. On further enquiring it was established that the horse was extremely fractious at the time of stalling and had reared up and flipped due to which the filly was extremely nervous leading to her sweating excessively resulting in the saddle slipping, as such, no action has been initiated. However, Trainer Imtiaz A. Sait has been asked to be more cautious in the future.

 

After the race, Jockey T. S. Jodha (AXLROD) reported that his mount hung out in the straight. Trainer Nosher Cama has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, Jockey Yash Narredu (MISS ALLURE) reported that he was denied a clear passage in the straight due to which he could not ride out his mount to full advantage. The Stipendiary Stewards will be looking into the same and a report will be submitted shortly.

 

After the race, HALL OF GRACE was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s Sr. V.O., before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, ATHENIAN was found to be sore by right hind. On further examination it was found that the gelding had a wolf tooth on his right side. The gelding has to be passed fit by Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, MISS ALLURE and AXLROD were trotted at the Stables and were found to be sound.

 

After the race, SUPREME SPIRIT was trotted and found to be sound but was found to have a gum injury.

 

The Equine Hospital reported that MISS ALLURE was found sore - left eye.

 

RACE NO.6(22) – THE YANA PLATE: (ABOUT) 1800 METRES – RUNNERS - 7

 

BRAVE BEAUTY (K. Nazil, dr.3) jumped out slowly losing about a length at the start.

 

Soon after the start, FORTUNATE SON (N. S. Parmar) shifted in onto KEY TO THE MINT (Akshay Kumar) who in turn shifted in thereby tightening OWN VOICE (Dashrath Singh). Jockey N. S. Parmar has been cautioned.

 

Passing the 1400 metres, FORTUNATE SON (N. S. Parmar) leaned in and brushed the railings.

 

Passing the 600 metres, KIEFER (S. Saqlain) leaned in thereby tightening and inconveniencing FORTUNATE SON (N. S. Parmar) and KEY TO THE MINT (Akshay Kumar) causing both the horses to be checked. After questioning, Jockey S. Saqlain has been fined Rs.3,000/-.

 

After the race, KEY TO THE MINT was found to be sore by right fore. The mare has to be passed fit by Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, FORTUNATE SON and KIEFER were trotted and found to be sound.

 

The Equine Hospital reported that FLAMING LAMBORGINI was found have mild ulcer in right eye.

 

RACE NO.7(23) – THE CABRIOLET PLATE: (ABOUT) 1200 METRES – RUNNERS -  13

 

Approaching the 700 metres, PHANTA (A. K. Aniket) leaned inwards thereby tightening the field on his inside due to which GALWAY BAY (Yash Narredu), STREET SENSE (Vivek G.) and MOMENT OF MADNESS (App. Haridas Gore) were all tightened for room and had to be steadied. Jockey A. K. Aniket has been cautioned.

 

In the final stages of the race, GALWAY BAY (Yash Narredu) shifted in onto MY PRINCESS (H. M. Akshay) who in turn shifted in thereby tightening and inconveniencing  HARRIET (S. A. Amit) causing the latter to be checked. Due to this incident MOMENT OF MADNESS (Haridas Gore) shifted in and went across UNTITLED (A. S. Peter) causing the latter to be steadied. After questioning, Jockey Yash Narredu stated that his mount hung-in in the straight. Trainer M. Narredu has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, Jockey T. S. Jodha (OCEAN OF GOD) reported that he was denied a clear passage between the 200 and 150 metres, as such, he had to steady his mount and change course.

 

After the race, MY PRINCESS was endoscoped at the Equine Hospital and was found to have EIPH (Gr.III) and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s Sr. V.O., before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, OPUS DEI was found to have cut injury on left fore cannon.

 

After the race, STREET SENSE was found to have cut injury on left hind fetlock.

The urine samples of the winner of the 2nd race, 3rd race and 5th race, viz. COME BACK PLEASE, DAULAT MAI and HALL OF GRACE, and the special sample of KEY TO THE MINT (6th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.

 

The urine and blood samples of the DANGEROUS (Winner – 4th race) and DYF (2nd place – 4th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.

ADDITIONAL REPORTS:

 

RACE NO.1(1) – THE BEYOND EXPECTATION PLATE  - DIVISION II: RUN ON 21ST JULY 2023.

 

It was observed that the saddle used on HABIBI (S. Saqlain) had shifted forward during the race. On further enquiring it was found that the frame of the saddle was wider than usual at the pommel due to which the saddle had shifted forward. As such, Jockey S. Saqlain was informed of the same and keeping in mind a previous incident of a similar nature, Jockey S. Saqlain has been fined a sum of Rs.2,000/- and was further informed to refrain from using the said saddle during the races.
