RACE DAY REPORTS

RAILS WERE PLACED 2 METRES AWAY FROM ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1400 METRES (MILE CHUTE) TO 1200 METRES, 4 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES AND THEREAFTER 5 METRES AWAY UPTO THE WINNING POST.

FOR THE RACES STARTING FROM THE BACK STRETCH RAILS WERE PLACED FROM ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1400 METRES LEADING TO 2 METRES AWAY AT 1200 METRES AND 4 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES.

RACE NO.1(72) – THE HUNT FOR GOLD PLATE - DIVISION II: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 10

After being stalled, GUSTY GIRL (App. P. Vinod, dr.5) started lashing out as such the mare was taken out and examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and was found to have cut injuries on both hock, as such was certified her unfit to race. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. Trainer Dallas Todywalla has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the mare to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

PERCIVALE (Bhawani Singh, dr.9) & SUFIYAH (App. Kirtish Bhagat, dr.6) jumped out slowly losing about 5 lengths each at the start. Trainers Altamaash A. Ahmed and Rehanullah Khan have been asked to give their respective charge more gate practice and show them to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

Passing the 350 metres, ON VA DANSER (App. A. K. Aniket) shifted out and went across PERCIVALE (Bhawani Singh) who had to be steadied. App. A. K. Aniket has been cautioned.

App. A. S. Peter (LAGERTHA) has been cautioned for raising his hand as a victory sign passing the winning post.

RACE NO.2(73) – THE BEAUTIFUL STRANGER PLATE: (About) 1600 Metres – Runners - 7

Passing the 400 metres, SPINOZA (P. S. Chouhan) racing on the haunches of MULTISTARRER (Neeraj Rawal) shifted out and carried CHIEFTAIN (T. S. Jodha) outwards. Jockey P. S. Chouhan has been cautioned.

RACE NO.3(74) – THE TUTANKHAMUN PLATE - DIVISION I: (About) 1000 Metres – Runners - 13

At the request of Trainer M. Narredu, NOBLE KING was examined in the stable area at 9.15 a.m. on 5/2/2022 and was found to be sore from right fore, the gelding was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds and has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

MAGICAL RAYS (N. Nadeem, dr.10) was fractious and refused to stall despite substantial efforts as such the filly was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s order. In view of above and a similar behavior of the filly in the last start, Trainer Sangramsinh N. Joshi has been asked to show his charge in a mock race to the satisfaction of the Starter, before next accepting to race.

At the start, ZUKOR (App. A. Prakash, dr.2) jumped inwards and went onto WAVERUNNER (App. P. S. Kaviraj, dr.1) who had to be steadied. App. A. Prakash has been cautioned.

At the start, MAGIC IN THE WIND (N. S. Parmar, dr.6) jumped inwards onto GHALEB (Shahrukh Khan, dr.5), who was slow to begin.

Soon after the start, CONNAUGHT (App. P. Shinde) leaned inwards and made contact with LITTLE MORE (App. A. K. Aniket). App P. Shinde has been cautioned.

GHALEB (Shahrukh Khan) was observed to have run detached from the field. Trainer Rehanullah Khan has been asked to ensure that his charge puts up a reasonable performance in the future.

After passing the winning post, DAULAT MAI (Akash Agarwal) found to be in distress accordingly first aid was provided. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

RACE NO.4(75) – THE MYRTLEWOOD PLATE: (About) 2400 Metres –Runners- 6

At the start, ROYAL ALAMDAAR (App. A. K. Aniket, dr.4) jumped inwards onto ANIMOUS (Neeraj Rawal, dr.3)

Soon after the start, ANIMOUS (Neeraj Rawal) shifted out and carried AIRA (Bhawani Singh) and HELA (Akshay Kumar) outwards.

After the race, ANIMOUS was trotted and found to be sound.

RACE NO.5(76) – THE HUNT FOR GOLD PLATE - DIVISION I: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 10

PEPPER (N. S. Parmar, dr.7) took a fly jump at the start.

At the start, REMUS (Antony Raj S., dr.2) jumped outwards at the same time C’EST L’AMOUR (Akash Agarwal, dr.3) jumped inwards and they made contact thereafter TRINKET (Bhawani Singh, dr.4) leaned-in due to which C’EST L’AMOUR had to be checked.

Jockey Neeraj Rawal the rider of STEPPENWOLF has been fined Rs.1,000/- for coming late in the paddock.

After the race, ENLIGHTENED was observed to have lost its left fore shoe.

After the race, NORTHERN SINGER was trotted and found to be sound.

RACE NO.7(78) – THE ETERNAL FLAME PLATE: (About) 1600 Metres – Runners - 19

After being stalled, BAKU (App. A. S. Peter, dr.3) played up and dislodged its rider. As a result App. A. S. Peter was hurt and unable to ride as such the gelding was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s order. Trainer Asad Siddiqui has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

At the start, FAIRMONT (Neeraj Rawal, dr.19) was observed to have stumbled.

At the start, MIDAS TOUCH (Bhawani Singh, dr.13) jumped outwards at the same time VERDANDI (R. Rupesh, dr.14) jumped inwards and they made contact.

At the start, FERNANDO (Shahrukh Khan, dr.7) jumped outwards and made contact with LORD BYRON (P. S. Chouhan, dr.8) who in turn shifted out on to WILLY WONKAA (Akshay, dr.9) who had to be steadied.

Approaching the 1000 metres, LORD BYRON (P. S. Chouhan) shifted out and went across TOUCH OF FAITH (App. A. Prakash) who had to be steadied. Jockey P. S. Chouhan has been cautioned.

Passing the 900 metres, HAWK EYE (Antony Raj S.) weakened and dropped back due to which FERNANDO (Shahrukh Khan) racing directly behind him collided with the former thereby unbalancing and dislodging its rider. After the race, HAWK EYE was observed to have broken a blood vessel second time and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of eight weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

Approaching the 400 metres, POWER OF THOR (Akash Agarwal) shifted in and went across TEISPES (Hanumant Singh) who had to be steadied. Jockey Akash Agarwal has been cautioned.

Passing the 300 metres, IAMSTORM (N. S. Parmar) shifted in under urgings thereby tightening and inconveniencing TOUCH OF FAITH (App. A. Prakash). Jockey N. S. Parmar has been cautioned.

In the final stages of the race, FAIRMONT (Neeraj Rawal) was observed to have hung out despite the rider’s efforts as a result carried VERDANDI (R. Rupesh) outwards. After the race, Jockey Neeraj Rawal reported that his mount hung-out despite his efforts. Trainer Nosher Cama has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

After the race, ROYAL CASTLE was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

After the race, IAMSTORM had a gum injury. LORD BYRON had a clip injury on both hind fetlock.

After the race, FAIRMONT was trotted and found to be sound.

RACE NO.8(79) – THE TUTANKHAMUN PLATE - DIVISION II: (About) 1000 Metres – Runners - 13

THUNDERING SPIRIT (S. Mosin, dr.12) jumped out slowly throwing its head thereby losing about 3 lengths at the start.

At the start, GREY FALCON (N. Nadeem, dr.6) jumped inwards and made contact with HILMA KLINT (App. A. K. Aniket, dr.5).

At the start, TURMERIC TOWER (Akash Agarwal, dr.11) jumped outwards and went across THUNDERING SPIRIT (S. Mosin, dr.12) who was marginally slow to begin.

Soon after the start, RECIPROCITY (App. P. S. Kaviraj) shifted out and made contact with HILMA KLINT (App. A. K. Aniket) who in turn shifted out onto SMART CHOICE (Raghuveer Singh). App. P. S. Kaviraj has been cautioned.

Approaching the 300 metres, RECIPROCITY (App. P. S. Kaviraj) shied outwards thereby bumping and inconveniencing SPIRITUAL ROCK (Akshay Gaikwad) due to this incident HISTORIC (R. Shelar) racing on his haunches had to be steadied. After the race, App. P. S. Kaviraj reported that his mount shied outwards not giving him sufficient time to correct. In view of this behavior, Trainer H. J. Antia has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

Passing the 250 metres, HILMA KLINT (App. A. K. Aniket) was inclined outwards.

Passing the 250 metres, App. Kirtish Bhagat (HUNTING GODDESS) was observed to have forced the passage thereby bumping and forcing SMART CHOICE (Raghuveer Singh) outwards. In view of the same he has been suspended for one race day i.e. on 27^th February 2022, (permitted to ride work/mock race) for careless riding.

After the race, Jockey K. Nazil reported that his mount HURREM was running green in the straight. Trainer S. Waheed has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

After the race, RECIPROCITY had a cut injury on right hind cannon.

The urine samples of the winner of the 4^th & 6^th race, viz. MANDEVILLE & SUNRISE RUBY, were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
