RACE DAY REPORTS

 

RAILS WERE PLACED 5 METRES AWAY FROM ITS ORIGINAL POINT AT THE 1400 METRES, 3 METRES AWAY AT 1200 METRES, 7 METRES AWAY IN THE CHUTE AND THEREAFTER IT WAS PLACED AT ITS ORIGINAL POSITION TILL THE WINNING POST.

 

On a request from Trainer Subhag Singh, permission was granted to Trainer Zadmal Singh to saddle his charges SHAPATH (2nd race) and DADDY’S PRIDE (5th race), at his own (Trainer Subhag Singh’s) risk and responsibility.

On a request from Trainer Karthik Ganapathy, permission was granted to Trainer Hosidar Daji to saddle his charge GRAND ACCORD in the 3rd race, at his own (Trainer Karthik Ganapathy’s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO.1 (15) –  THE STRATEGIC MOVE PLATE : (About) 1000 Metres – 9 Runners

 

At the request of App.P.S.Kaviraj, the saddle on his mount BRAVE was adjusted on arrival at the start.

 

Soon after the start, ROMANTIC EYES (Dashrath Singh, dr.2) shifted in and made contact with AME (App. K. Pranil, dr.1).

 

Passing 200 metres, MALAVIKA (App. A. S. Peter) shifted out and carried ROMANTIC EYES (Dashrath Singh) outwards who had to be steadied. App. A. S. Peter has been cautioned.

 

Passing 100 metres, ADELE (Prashant P. Dhebe) shifted in under urgings and made contact with BRAVE (App. P. S. Kaviraj) forcing it inwards. After questioning, Jockey Prashant P. Dhebe has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

 

In the final stages of the race, Jockey N. S. Parmar (XOXO) momentarily lost grip on his reins which he regained soon. On being questioned after the race, Jockey N. S. Parmar stated that his reins had slipped due to the wet and sweat. The Jockey’s explanation has been noted.

 

After the race, App. Raghuveer Singh (ORION’S BELT) reported that his mount hung out in the straight. The Club’s V.O. was requested to examine the mare and he reported that ORION’S BELT had returned sore by the right fore leg. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, ALPINE EXPRESS and MALAVIKA were trotted and found to be sound. ROYSTON ROCK had lost its right hind shoe.

 

RACE NO.2 (16) –  THE A.J. WADIA PLATE (DIV.II) : (About) 1200 Metres – 11 Runners

 

At the start, VELVET VIBES (Altaf Sayyed, dr.1) jumped out awkwardly inwards and had to be steadied.

 

At the start, ACTIONABLE (App. A. S. Peter, dr.9) jumped outwards and shifted out despite the rider’s efforts, on to DESTINED FOR GLORY (S. S. Baria, dr.10), who in turn shifted out and made contact with PANARAEA (Bhawani Singh, dr.11). Trainer M. Narredu has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

At the start, SIXTH EMPEROR (N. B. Kuldeep, dr.4) jumped inwards and went across LILIBETH (App. Raghuveer Singh, dr.3) who was marginally slow to begin.

 

Passing 1000 metres, THEA O THEA (App. M. Ayyar) shifted out thereby inconveniencing ACTIONABLE (App. A. S. Peter). App. M. Ayyar has been cautioned.

 

Passing 400 metres, ACTIONABLE (App. A. S. Peter) shifted out under urgings on to DESTINED FOR GLORY (S. S. Baria), who in turn shifted out and carried RUN HAPPY (Santosh G.) outwards. After questioning, App. A. S. Peter has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

 

Approaching 200 metres, RUN HAPPY (Santosh G.) shifted in under urgings and went across DESTINED FOR GLORY (S. S. Baria) causing the latter to be checked. After questioning, Jockey Santosh G. has been fined. Rs.2,000/-.

 

In the final stages of the race, App. Raghuveer Singh (LILIBETH) was observed to have persisted with the whip from the left despite his mount shifting in thereby tightening SIXTH EMPEROR (N. B. Kuldeep) who had to be steadied. After questioning, App. Raghuveer Singh has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

 

The Equine Hospital reported that LILIBETH had right eye injury (mild corneal opacity and ulcer).

 

After the race, ACTIONABLE, LILIBETH and THEA O THEA (examined on 04/08/2019) were trotted and found to be sound. SHAPATH had lost its left hind shoe.

 

RACE NO.3 (17) –  THE J.E. HUGHES TROPHY: (About) 1400 Metres –  7 Runners

 

At the start, TRULY EPIC (C. S. Jodha, dr.5) jumped inwards and at the same time ZENON (App. K. Nazil, dr.3) jumped outwards due to which IN IT TO WIN IT (App.D.R.Shubham, dr.4) was tightened and had to be checked.

 

Approaching 550 metres, KINGSMAN (Yash Narredu) was observed to shift in on to MOMENTUM (S. Zervan) who in turn shifted in thereby tightening IN IT TO WIN IT (App. D. R. Shubham) along the rails. On being questioned after the race, Jockey Yash Narredu stated that his mount was leaning outwards at that juncture and in his effort to straighten him, the horse had leaned inwards. In view of the explanation, Jockey Yash Narredu was only cautioned.

 

The Equine Hospital reported that ZENON had right eye injury (sore) and MOMENTUM had both eyes injury (sore).

 

After the race, VALEGRO was observed to have an abrasion at the left hind pastern.

 

RACE NO.4 (18) –  THE GOODNESS GRACIOUS  PLATE: (About) 1200 Metres – 10 Runners

 

At the start, CHARLES BRIDGE (App.S. A. Amit, dr.2) jumped outwards on to FLAMMEUS (Akshay Kumar, dr.3), who in turn shifted out and went across HEADWAY (C. S. Jodha, dr.4) who was marginally slow to begin.

 

Passing 300 metres, HEADWAY (C. S. Jodha) shifted out under urgings thereby forcing a passage, as a result taking the ground of FLAMMEUS (Akshay Kumar) causing the latter to be checked. After questioning, Jockey C. S. Jodha has been fined Rs.3,000/-.

 

Passing 250 metres, JETFIRE (N. S. Parmar) shifted in under urgings on to QUAIL HOLLOW (Prashant P. Dhebe), who in turn shifted in thereby tightening CHARLES BRIDGE (App.S. A. Amit). After questioning, Jockey N. S. Parmar has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

 

The Equine Hospital reported that HEADWAY had right eye injury (mild corneal opacity and ulcer).

 

After the race, JETFIRE and FLAMMEUS were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.5 (19) –  THE AUGUST HANDICAP : (About) 1400 Metres – 9 Runners

 

After being stalled, GALLOPING GOLDMINE (C.S.Jodha) reared up and flipped over, as such, the gelding was taken out and withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s Order. Tr.S.K.Sunderji has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

MICHELANGELO (App.S.A.Amit) jumped out slow losing about a length at the start.

 

At the start, MISHKA’S PRIDE (N. S. Parmar) jumped out awkwardly throwing its head.

 

Passing 300 metres, CLIFFS OF CAPRI (S. Zervan) shifted out and went across DUMAS (Yash Narredu) causing the latter to be checked. After questioning Jockey S.Zervan and not being satisfied with his explanation, he has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

 

Passing 100 metres, MZILIKAZI (Akshay Kumar) shifted in and went across DIVINE GLORY (A. Sandesh) who had to be steadied. Jockey Akshay Kumar has been cautioned.

 

Passing 100 metres, DUMAS (Yash Narredu) went on to MISHKA’S PRIDE (N. S. Parmar), who in turn shifted in thereby tightening AIRMAX (App. K. Nazil) along the rails causing to be checked. Jockey Yash Narredu has been cautioned.

 

The Club’s V.O. reported that DIVINE GLORY was examined at the stables on 04/08/2019 and found to be sore by the right fore leg.  The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

The Club’s V.O. reported that MZILIKAZI was examined at the stables on 04/08/2019 and found to be sound in the trot.

 

The Club’s V.O. reported that DUMAS was examined at the stables on 04/08/2019 and found to have a clip injury on the right hind bulb of heel.

 

The Equine Hospital reported that MZILIKAZI had both eyes injury (sore).

 

RACE NO.6 (20) –  THE A.J.WADIA PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1200 Metres – 12 Runners

 

Soon after the start, OUTSTANDING (C. S. Jodha, dr.3) shifted out at the same time NAVIGATOR (Dashrath Singh, dr.7) shifted in due to which RED CARNATION (App. N. B. Kuldeep, dr.6) was tightened. Thereafter NAVIGATOR further shifted in and at the same time AUSPICIOUS (App. A. S. Peter, dr.1) leaned outwards due to which OUTSTANDING stumbled and RED CARNATION was tightened for room, as a result both the  horses had to be checked. Due to this, MAESTRO (App. Niranjan S. Parmar) who was racing on their haunches had to be held. After questioning, Jockey Dasharth Singh has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

 

Approaching the 1000 metres crossing, NAVIGATOR (Dashrath Singh) took an awkward stride and had to be steadied.

 

The Equine Hospital reported that OUTSTANDING and NATIVE PRINCE had right eye injury (mild corneal opacity and ulcer).

The urine samples of the winner of the 1st, 2nd and 5th race, viz. ADELE, RED FIRE and PRINCESS ANNABEL were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
