RACE DAY REPORTS

RAILS WERE PLACED 2 METRES AWAY FROM ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1400 METRES (MILE CHUTE) TO 1200 METRES AND THEREAFTER 4 METRES AWAY UP TO THE WINNING POST.  FOR THE RACES STARTING FROM THE BACK STRETCH, RAILS WERE PLACED 2 METRES AWAY FROM ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1400 METRES LEADING TO 4 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES. 

 

RACE NO.1(258) – THE R.R.KOMANDUR PLATE : (About) 2000 Metres – Runners – 3                                            

 

JAGER BOMB (A. Sandesh) refused to be stalled inspite of substantial efforts, as such the gelding was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s Order. STAR OF HARMONY (P. Trevor) was reluctant to be stalled. Trainers Imtiaz A. Sait and M. Narredu have been asked to give their respective charge more gate practice and show them to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, Jockey P. Trevor (STAR OF HARMONY) reported that his mount hung out throughout the race. In view of the above and a similar behavior of the filly in its previous run, Trainer M. Narredu has been asked to take remedial measures and to show his charge to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a Mock Race, before next accepting to race.

 

RACE NO.2(259) – THE HYDERABAD RACE CLUB TROPHY: (About) 2000 Metres – Runners – 4                                            

                                                                                                                                                      

AL SHAMSHEER (N. B. Kuldeep) jumped out slow, losing about 3 lengths at the start.

 

Passing 250 metres, MEKONG DELTA (A. Sandesh) was observed to have hung out. Trainer M. K. Jadhav has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

After the race, AL SHAMSHEER, MEKONG DELTA and MOUNTBATTEN were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.3(260) – THE BAHRAIN TROPHY: (About) 1000 Metres – Runners - 8

 

At the start, TOUCH ME NOT (App. S. A. Amit, dr. 3) shifted in on to WISE CHID (A. Sandesh, dr. 2).

 

Passing 300 metres, ORACLE (C. S. Jodha) shifted out and carried WISE CHILD (A. Sandesh) outwards, who in turn went across GOLDIE’S PET (P. Trevor) who had to be steadied.

 

Passing 800 metres, POKERFACE (Neeraj Rawal) hung outwards on to GOD’S OWN (Bhawani Singh).

 

After the race, Jockey C. S. Jodha (ORACLE) reported that his mount was inclined to run out throughout the race and in the straight the gelding hung out despite his efforts. In view of the above and a similar behavior of the gelding in his previous run, Trainer Nazak Chenoy has been asked to take remedial measures and to show her charge to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a Mock Race, before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, Jockey Neeraj Rawal (POKERFACE) reported that his mount hung out in the straight. Trainer Nosher Cama has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

After the race, ORACLE, POKERFACE and GOLDIE’S PET (examined on 03/04/2017) were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.4(261) – THE SATINELLO TROPHY: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 14 

 

There was a double declaration of Jockey Dashrath Singh by Trainer Narendra Lagad on LILIBETH and by Trainer Sanjay Kolse on MANZANITA in this race. After questioning all concerned, Trainer Narendra Lagad has been fined Rs.1,000/- for declaring Jockey Dashrath Singh on his charge LILIBETH without his consent. He was subsequently permitted to declare Jockey J. Chinoy on his charge.

 

Passing 900 metres, LADY SERGEANT (C. S. Jodha) shifted in and went across NEXTSTAR (A. Sandesh) who had to be held. Jockey C. S. Jodha has been cautioned.

 

Passing 350 metres, SOUTHPAW (S. Sunil) was observed to have veered out and was steadied.

 

After the race, Jockey C. S. Jodha (LADY SERGEANT) reported that his mount hung out in the straight. Tr. S. S. Shah has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly

 

After the race, Jockey M. A. Roushan (COSA NOSTRA) reported that his mount was hesitant and also shied away from the horses.

 

After the race, COSA NOSTRA and SOUTHPAW were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.5(262)–THE K.M.MUNSHI TROPHY: (About) 1000 Metres – Runners - 9

 

At the start, THE CIVILIAN (Kishore Kadam, dr.4) jumped outwards on to HIDDEN SOUL (App. H. Zeeshan, dr.5), who in turn shifted out on to VALENTINO (D. S. Daman, dr.6).

 

After the race, GANGNAM STYLE was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race. The Sr. V.O. further reported that after the race GANGNAM STYLE showed symptoms of discomfort in the Sampling Yard. The gelding recovered after being washed with cold water.

 

After the race, THE CIVILIAN was observed to have broken a blood vessel. Being a second time bleeder, the gelding is not to race for the stipulated ban period of eight weeks and has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, GANGNAM STYLE, VALENTINO and INCENTIO were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.6(263) –  THE SWITCH MEDIA TROPHY: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 13

 

On a request from Jockey A. Sandesh, ZOOM ZOOM was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and was certified fit to race.

 

After being stalled, SUDHARSHAN CHAKRA (Bhawani Singh) played up in the stall and hooked his right hind on the platform and got stuck awkwardly. The gelding was taken out and on recommendation from the Club’s Sr. V.O., he was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s Order. Trainer Zadmal Singh has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

GRANDE VITESSE (J. Chinoy) jumped out slow losing about 2 lengths at the start and RARE SILVER (Santosh G.) stumbled after the start. 

 

Approaching 1200 metres, ANGEL OF LOVE (N. Rawal) shifted out on to RAIN DANCE (App. S. A. Amit). 

 

Approaching 1200 metres, BAY OF LOVE (App. N. Nadeem) shifted in thereby tightening GRAND VITESSE (J. Chinoy) along the rails.

 

Passing 100 metres, GRAND VITESSE (J. Chinoy) shifted in thereby inconveniencing MARVEL (R. Ajinkya).

 

After the race, RARE SILVER was trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.7(264) –THE ROYAL DEEDS PLATE: (About) 1000 Metres – Runners – 13

 

On a request from Jockey J. Chinoy, the saddle on his mount KNIGHT AT ARMS was adjusted at the starting gates.

 

Trainer Amjad Khan has been fined Rs.1,000/- for not producing the registered racing colours in respect of his charge, WINDS OF CHANGE. The gelding raced in emergency colours “ALL BLACK”.

 

At the start, HORSE POWER (Sandeep Jadhav, dr.5) jumped out throwing its head up.

 

Soon after the start, WINDS OF CHANGE (Vikram Jodha, dr.7) shifted in thereby starting a chain reaction, due to which PROMINENCE (App. D. R. Shubham, dr.6), HORSE POWER (Sandeep Jadhav, dr.5) and APPLE BETTY (Bhawani Singh, dr.4) were inconvenienced. Jockey Vikram Jodha has been cautioned.

 

Passing 300 metres, APPLE BETTY (Bhawani Singh) was observed to have hung out despite the Jockey’s efforts. Trainer Karthik Ganapathy has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

After the race, APPLE BETTY and ETERNAL DANCER were trotted and found to be sound.

The urine samples of the winner of the 1st, 5th and 6th race, viz. STAR OF HARMONY, UNDISPUTED and MASTER OF TRINITY, were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
