RAILS WERE PLACED 3 METRES AWAY FROM ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1400 METRES (MILE CHUTE) TO 1200 METRES, 4 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES AND THEREAFTER 6 METRES AWAY UP TO THE WINNING POST. FOR THE RACES RUN AT THE BACK STRETCH, RAILS WERE PLACED 2 METRES AWAY FROM ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1800 TO 1200 METRES AND 4 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES.

RACE NO.1(113) –THE KINGFISHER MAX MILLION: (About) 1800 Metres – Runners - 11
STARS FOR YOU (C.S.Jodha) refused to be stalled despite substantial efforts, as such the filly was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s order. Trainer Rehanullah Khan has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
TENACIOUS (P.Trevor) reared up as start was effected thus losing about 3 lengths at the start.
Before passing the red marker, MR.HONEY (T.S.Jodha) shifted in under urgings and went across BIG BEN (N.S.Parmar) causing the latter to be checked and drop back. Jockey T.S.Jodha has been fined Rs.2,000/-.
Passing the 300 metres, App. P. S. Kaviraj (SADDLE THE WIND) was observed to have lost his whip. On being questioned, he stated that in his effort to change his whip hand the same had slipped. This being his first instance during the current Mumbai Meeting 2019/20, no action has been initiated.
After the race, CUPIDO was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
After the race, TENACIOUS was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
RACE NO.2(114) – THE MAHALAKSHMI MILLION: (About) 2400 Metres – Runners - 7
The Clerk of the Scales reported that Jockey Colm O’ Donoghue, the declared rider for PLAY SAFE had not reported at the scales to be weighed out for this race, as such, Jockey C. S. Jodha substituted Jockey Colm O’ Donoghue in this race and Jockey Colm O’ Donoghue has been fined Rs.5,000/- for this lapse.
At the start, GDANSK (J. Chinoy, dr.1) jumped outwards and made contact with PLAY SAFE (C. S. Jodha, dr.2).
The Stipendiary Stewards have initiated an enquiry into the running and riding of MORISEIKI and a report will be submitted shortly.
After the race, GOSHAWK was trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.3(115) – THE GATEWAY OF INDIA MILLION : (About) 1600 Metres – Runners - 13
Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha had declared Foreign Jockey David Allan on his charge GUARNERIUS in this race which was restricted for Indian Jockeys. Subsequently, Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha was permitted to declare Jockey A. Imran Khan on his charge and he has been fined Rs.5,000/- for the lapse on his part.
At the start, LION KING (Y. S. Srinath, dr.3) jumped and veered outwards and went across NOBEL HEIR (A. Sandesh, dr.4) and bumped GUARNERIUS (A. Imran Khan, dr.5) forcing it outwards and at the same time CONSCIENCE (Shrikant Kamble, dr.7) jumped inwards, as a result of which FANFARE (C. S. Jodha, dr.6) was bumped and tightened for room and had to be checked. After questioning all concerned, Trainer Shazaan Shah has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting with his charge LION KING.
At the start, MEMORABLE EYES (Imran Chisty, dr.11) jumped inwards and BAIT AND SWITCH (P. Trevor, dr.10) jumped outwards and they made contact
Soon after the start, CONSCIENCE (Shrikanth Kamble) shifted in on to NOBLE HEIR (A. Sandesh), who in turn shifted in thereby bumping and tightening ZANZIBAAR (T. S. Jodha) along the rails. Jockey Shrikant Kamble has been fined Rs.2,000/-.
Approaching the 1000 metres, LION KING (Y. S. Srinath) shifted in and went across GUARNERIUS (A. Imran Khan) causing the latter to be checked and change course thereby inconveniencing MEMORABLE EYES (Imran Chisty). Jockey Y. S. Srinath has been fined Rs.2,000/-.
Approaching the 300 metres, MEMORABLE EYES (Imran Chisty) shifted out under urgings thereby ITS A DEAL (Amyn Merchant) who was racing on its haunches shifted out due to which NOBLE HEIR (A. Sandesh) was tightened for room and had to be checked. Due to this incident, FANFARE (C.S.Jodha) who was racing behind, had to be checked and change course thereby carrying ALAUDDIN KHILJI (Dhanu S.Deora) outwards. On being questioned after the race, Jockey Imran Chisty stated that his mount behaved erratic in the straight. Not being satisfied with the explanation of Jockey Imran Chisty, he has been fined Rs.3,000/-.
In the final stages of the race, ITS A DEAL (Amyn Merchant) shifted in and went across GUARNERIUS (A. Imran Khan) and NOBLE HEIR (A. Sandesh) causing both the horses to be checked. Jockey Amyn Merchant has been fined Rs.3,000/-.
After the race, Jockey P. Trevor (BAIT AND SWITCH) reported that his mount hung-in despite his efforts.
The Stipendiary Stewards are looking into the running and riding of NOBLE HEIR and a report will be submitted shortly.
After the race, POWER OF THOR and BAIT AND SWITCH were found to be sore by the left fore leg. Both the horses have to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
After the race, LION KING, GUARNERIUS (examined on 02/02/2020) and ONE FOR THE GLORY (examined on 02/02/2020) were trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.4(116) – THE PELICAN MILLION: (About) 1000 Metres –Runners- 12
At the request of Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha, LADY LANETTE was examined at 1115 hours on 31/01/2020 and found to be sore by the right fore leg, as such the filly was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
On the way to the start, MONARCH (Suraj Narredu) dislodged it’s rider and bolted towards the winning post, as such, the gelding was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s order.
After being stalled, SKY FALL (David Egan) rushed the front gates. The filly was taken out and examined by the Club’s Sr.V.O. who certified her fit to race.
Trainer C. Rajendra had declared Foreign Jockey Nathan Evans on his charge ZENITH in this race when he was not eligible to do so. Subsequently, Trainer C.Rajendra was permitted to declare Jockey Bhawani Singh on his charge and he has been fined Rs.5,000/- for the lapse on his part.
Approaching the 600 metres, FINALIST (J. Chinoy) shifted out thereby bumping and forcing MARKET KING (Nicky Mackay) outwards on to ZENITH (Bhawani Singh). On being questioned after the race, Jockey J. Chinoy stated that his mount was very keen at that stage and in his effort to settle the filly, she had shifted out.
Passing the 400 metres, Jockey A. Sandesh (SPRING GROVE) shifted in on to LIFETIME (C. S. Jodha) forcing it inwards on to ENDEAVOUR (P.Trevor) as a result LIFETIME was tightened for room and had to be checked and dropped back thereby causing ASHWA CHINTZ (Amyn Merchant) who was racing on its haunches, to change course, due to which FINALIST (J.Chinoy) was forced outwards Jockey A.Sandesh has been fined Rs.3,000/-.
App. H. Zeeshan (CANDESCENT STAR) was observed to have maintained an erratic course throughout the race. After questioning, App. H. Zeeshan has been cautioned.
After the race, Jockey N. S. Parmar (EXCELERATOR) reported that his mount was inclined outwards.
After the race, Jockey P. Trevor (ENDEAVOUR) reported that his mount hung out in the final stages of the race.
After the race, SPRING GROVE was observed to have a cut injury at the left hind coronet.
RACE NO.5(117) – THE EBCO LIVSMART MILLION: (About) 1400 Metres –Runners- 9
MALWA was declared to run with bandages on both fore legs but ran without any bandages. Trainer S.S.Attaollahi has been fined Rs.1,000/-.
Passing the 1000 metres, EYES FOR YOU (N.S.Parmar) leaned inwards on to VALEGRO (Leigh Roche) who was steadied.
Passing the 150 metres, KARIEGA (App. K. Nazil) shifted out under pressure and went across VALEGRO (Leigh Roche). On being questioned after the race, App. K. Nazil stated that his mount shied outwards despite his efforts due to the close proximity of RAINBOW TROUT (App. A. S. Peter).
The saddle used on RAINBOW TROUT (App. A. S. Peter) was observed to have slipped during the race. Trainer Dallas Todywalla has been fined Rs.2,000/- for faulty saddling of his charge.
App.A.S.Peter (RAINBOW TROUT) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. This being his first offence during the current Mumbai Meeting 2019/20, he has been fined Rs.3,000/-.
App.K.Nazil (KARIEGA) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. This being his first offence during the current Mumbai Meeting 2019/20, he has been fined Rs.3,000/-.
An enquiry has been initiated into the running and riding of VALEGRO and a report will be submitted shortly.
After the race, QUESTIONABLE was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
The Equine Hospital reported on 3rd February, 2020 that MALWA was sore by the right fore leg. The colt has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
After the race, EYES FOR YOU was trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.6(118) – THE TURF AUTHORITIES OF INDIA MILLION: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners – 14
At the start, RUN FORREST RUN (Y. S. Srinath) lost its footings and stumbled.
Soon after the start, RED CARNATION (App. P. S. Kaviraj) shifted in and at the same time USTAD PEDRO (S. Zervan) shifted out, as a result SHIVALIK QUEEN (Amyn Merchant) was tightened for room and had to be checked.
Approaching the 800 metrs, STEPPENWOLF (App. K. Nazil) shifted out and at the same time SAFDAR (Dhanu S. Deora) shifted in, due to which ARTICULATE (A. Imran Khan) was tightened for room and had to be checked. On being questioned after the race, Jockey Dhanu S. Deora said that his mount hung-in despite his efforts. Trainer Rehanullah Khan has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
Passing the 400 metres, RED CARNATION (App.P.S.Kaviraj) shifted in on to ARTICULATE (A.Imran Khan) who had to be steadied. App.P.S.Kaviraj has been cautioned.
After the race, THOMAS HARDY observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
After the race, MOUNT OLYMPUS was found to be sore by the left fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
After the race, ARTICULATE was trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.7(119) – THE KINGFISHER ULTRA SUNDOWNER MILLION: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 14
ON VA DANSER (J.Chinoy) jumped out slow losing about 5 lengths at the start. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
At the start, NORTHERN SINGER (App.P.S.Kaviraj, dr.3) jumped outwards on to PRINCESS SCARLET (Imran Chisty, dr.4). Thereafter, GOLDEN STEAL (David Egan, dr.6) shifted in thereby bumping and tightening MIKAYLA’S PRIDE (A.Imran Khan, dr.5) and PRINCESS SCARLET (Imran Chisty, dr.4).
Soon after the start, DILBAR (App.M.Ayyar) shifted in and went across the field before passing the red marker. App.M.Ayyar has been fined Rs.2,000/-.
Passing the 1000 metres, SENIORITY (S.Zervan) shifted in thereby starting a chain reaction, due to which GOLDEN STEAL (David Egan) was inconvenienced and BLAZING BAY (Colm O’Donoghue) was tightened along the rails and had to be checked and change course, as a result ADAMS BEGINNING (Santosh G), BRILLIANT GOLD (Nicky Mackay) SHAPATH (T.S.Jodha) and PRINCIPESSA (Dashrath Singh) were inconvenienced. Jockey S.Zervan has been fined Rs.3,000/-.

The Board of Appeal at its meeting held on Tuesday, 28th January, 2020 considered appeal dated 13th January, 2020 from Trainer M.Narredu in the above connection.
The Board of Appeal considered all documents, papers and proceedings, including Trainer M.Narredu’s “Grounds of Appeal” and also heard the submissions made by him and his Spokesman, Mr.Suresh G.Advani. The Board of Appeal deliberated on the matter at length and having applied their minds to the same decided to confirm the decision of the Stewards of the Club of suspension of his Trainer’s licence for a period of 30 days and a fine of Rs.15,000/-. However, the Board considered his request for deferment of his punishment. Hence his suspension of Trainer’s licence will commence from 3rd February, 2020 for a period of 30 days i.e. up to and inclusive of 3rd March, 2020.

The Sr. V.O. reported that WHOOPSIDAISY was observed to have broken a blood vessel after morning track work on 1st February, 2020 and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
