RACE DAY REPORTS

RAILS WERE PLACED AT ITS ORIGINAL POSITION FROM 2000 METRES TO 1600 METRES, 2 METRES WIDE AT 1400 METRES, 4 METRES WIDE FROM 1200 METRES TO 400 METRES AND THEREAFTER 5 METRES WIDE UPTO WINNING POST. RAILS WERE PLACED 4 METRES WIDE IN THE CHUTE.

RACE NO.1(53) – THE ASSESSED PLATE: (About) 1800 Metres – Runners - 9

At the request of Jockey Yash Narredu the saddle on his mount LIGHTNINGONMYFEET was readjusted and the girth was changed as there was no scope to tighten it.

ALPHA GENE (R. Shelar, dr.3) planted and lost considerable grounds at the start. As such, Trainer Ivor Fernandes has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter in morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

Passing the 800 metres, LIGHTNINGONMYFEET (Yash Narredu) shifted in thereby tightening and inconveniencing HOT TO TROT (H. Zeeshan) along the rails. Jockey Yash Narredu has been fined Rs.1,000/-.

Passing the 300 metres, SUNLORD (App. Kirtish Bhagat) shifted in under urgings and went across LIGHTNINGONMYFEET (Yash Narredu) who had to be checked. After questioning App. Jockey Kirtish Bhagat and not being satisfied with the explanation, he has been fined Rs.2,000/-

In the final stages of the race, ALPHA GENE (R. Shelar) was observed to have shied and veered out. After the race on questioning Jockey R. Shelar stated that his mount had shied away from the whip.

After the race, LIGHTNINGONMYFEET and WALK THE TALK were trotted and found to be sound.

RACE NO.2(54) – THE GLASNOST PLATE: (About) 1600 Metres – Runners - 5

An enquiry has been initiated into the running and riding of BOTERO (C. Umesh) and a report will be submitted shortly.

RACE NO.3(55) – THE GULAMHUSEIN ESSAJI TROPHY - DIVISION II: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 11

On the arrival at the start it was observed that FLASH FORCE (R. Shelar) had lost one of his hind shoes. As per the norms the other hind shoe was to be removed since the gelding was fractious and did not allow to remove the other hind shoe he was withdrawn before coming under starter’s order.

WAFY (M. Ayyar, dr.6) jumped out slowly losing about 4 lengths and thereafter did not raise an effective gallop. As such, Trainer Imtiaz A. Sait has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter in morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

At the start, PRINCESS SNOW (N. S. Parmar, dr.7) jumped inwards and went across WAFY (M. Ayyar, dr.6) who was slow to begin.

Soon after the start, BOLD ADVANCE (Dashrath Singh) shifted in thereby tightening PRINCESS SNOW (N. S. Parmar) causing the latter to be checked and dropped back. Jockey Dashrath Singh has been fined Rs. 2000/-

The Sr. V.O. reported that WINTER STORM was declared to run with Aluminium Hind Bare but ran with Aluminium Both Fore Square Toe. Trainer Imtiaz A. Sait has been fined Rs.1,000/- for the lapse.

After the race, FEEL LUCKY was trotted and found to be sound. RAECHELLES PRIDE had a gum injury.

The Equine Hospital reported that WAFY had right eye injury.

RACE NO.4(56) – THE PARTY WHIP PLATE: (About) 1200 Metres –Runners- 8

Passing the 600 metres CAMDEN TOWN (Prashant P. Dhebe) leaned inwards onto PERFECT MAN (T. S. Jodha). Jockey Prashant P. Dhebe has been cautioned.

NORD (S. A. Amit) and RED RIOT (M. Ayyar) were observed to have run detached from the field. Trainer H. J. Antia has been asked to ensure that his charges puts up a reasonable performance in the future.

The Sr. V.O. reported that ANGELS TRUMPET was declared to run with Aluminium Hind Bare but ran with Aluminium Both Fore Bonded Shoe. Trainer Subhag Singh has been fined Rs.1,000/- for the lapse.

RACE NO.5(57) – THE SERUM INSTITUTE OF INDIA R.W.I.T.C. LTD GOLD CUP (GRADE 2): (About) 2000 Metres – Runners - 4

At the request of Jockey Yash Narredu the saddle on his mount CAPRISCA was readjusted and the girth was changed as there was no scope to tighten it.

The Equine Hospital reported that TRULY EPIC had both eye injuries, left eye sore.

RACE NO.6(58) – THE GULAMHUSEIN ESSAJI TROPHY - DIVISION I: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 11

At the start, NOBLE LORD (M. Ayyar, dr.5) jumped outwards at the same NORTHERN LIGHTS (App. Kirtish Bhagat, dr.7) jumped inwards thereby tightening CHANCELLOR (Yash Narredu, dr.6) thereafter SERGIO (Bhawani Singh, dr.8) shifted in and made contact with NORTHERN LIGHTS (App. Kirtish Bhagat, dr.7).

From the 300 metres, NORTHERN LIGHTS (App. Kirtish Bhagat) drifted out under the whip despite which the App. Kirtish Bhagat made no efforts to correct his mount. In view of the same App. Kirtish Bhagat has been referred to the riding instructor to improve his riding skills and to practice the use of the whip.

Approaching the 100 metres, NOBLE LORD (M. Ayyar) shifted in onto CHANCELLOR (Yash Narredu) who had to be steadied. Jockey M. Ayyar has been cautioned.

After the race, WINTER was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race the colt.

After the race, SERGIO and MAGIC IN THE WIND were trotted and found to be sound.

The Equine Hospital reported that SERGIO and CHANCELLOR had left eye injuries.

RACE NO.7(59) – THE VILLOO C. POONAWALLA PUNE CITY GOLD CUP (GRADE 3): (About) 1600 Metres – Runners - 8

Trainer Altamaash Ahmed had declared Jockey Neeraj Rawal on his charge AUGUSTUS CAESAR in this race, on being brought to his attention that Jockey Neeraj Rawal has been declared medically unfit to ride. As such, he declared Jockey T. S. Jodha on his charge subsequently after enquiring Jockey Neeraj Rawal has been fined Rs.3,000/- for having accepting a ride without having obtained a valid fitness certificate from the Club’s Medical Officer.

At the request of Jockey Akshay Kumar (SULTAN SULEIMAN) the saddle on his mount was readjusted.

Passing the 600 metres, due to lack of room GRAND ACCORD (Bhawani Singh) was steadied and shifted out thereby bumping and inconveniencing ALLURING SILVER (P. S. Chouhan). Jockey Bhawani Singh has been cautioned.

RACE NO.8(60) – THE ALLIED FORCES PLATE: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 11

At the start, GRAND ARCHITECT (App. P. S. Kaviraj, dr.5) jumped onto TOUGH COP (M. Ayyar, dr.6), who was marginally slow to begin.

RE: SUSPENSION OF JOCKEY J. CHINOY’S LICENCE ON 13^TH NOVEMBER 2021 FOR CARELESS RIDING ON “ON VA DANSER” IN RACE NO.14 – THE F. S. REPORTER TROPHY – RUN ON SATURDAY, 23^RD OCTOBER 2021:

Jockey J. Chinoy informed to this office, that he did not wish to appeal against the above decision of the Stipendiary Stewards and requested instead of suspension he may be fined for the said offence.

In view of the above, the suspension of his Jockey’s license will now stands cancelled and he has been fined a sum of Rs.5,000/-, for careless riding.
