RACE DAY REPORTS
RAILS WERE PLACED 9 METRES WIDE AT ITS ORIGINAL POSITION FROM 2400 METRES TO 2200 METRES, 6 METRES WIDE AT 2100 METRES, 4 METRES WIDE FROM 2000 METRES TO 1400 METRES, 5 METRES WIDE AT 1200 METRES, 6 METRES WIDE AT 1000 METRES, 7 METRES WIDE AT 600 METRES AND THEREAFTER 10 METRES WIDE UPTO WINNING POST. RAILS WERE PLACED 7 METRES WIDE IN THE CHUTE.
On a request from Trainer Karthik Ganapathy, permission was granted to Trainer Sangramsinh N. Joshi to saddle his charge MIDAS TOUCH in the 7th race, at his own (Trainer Karthik Ganapathy’s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO.1(36) –THE K RAGHUNATH PLATE: (About) 1600 Metres – Runners - 5
SEASONS GREETINGS (P. S. Chouhan, dr.3) was reluctant to stall. As such, Trainer P. Shroff has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the filly to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race
WAYIN (A. Sandesh, dr.4) jumped and veered out resulting in the gelding losing considerable ground at the start. As such, Trainer Rehanullah Khan has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
After the race, Jockey Vishal N. Bunde (SANDMAN) reported the loss of whip passing the 150 metres, he further added that his mount hung-out in the straight. Being the first instance of Jockey Vishal N. Bunde for loss of whip during the current Pune Meeting 2021, no action has been initiated. However, Trainer Nirad Karanjawala has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
After the race, SEASONS GREETINGS & WAYIN were trotted and found to be sound, TASMAN lost his left fore shoe.

RACE NO.3(38) – THE A J WADIA PLATE - DIVISION II: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 10
PRINCIPESSA (N. Nadeem, dr.2) jumped out slowly losing about 4 lengths at the start. As such, Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the mare to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
Approaching the 300 metres, WHISPERING QUEEN (Neeraj Rawal) leaned outwards on to CHEZZA (App. A. S. Peter). Jockey Neeraj Rawal has been cautioned
After the race, Jockey T. S. Jodha (TIMELESS DEEDS) reported that at about 200 metres his reins had slipped, which he regained immediately.
RACE NO.4(39) –THE FLOODS OF FORTUNE PLATE: (About) 2400 Metres –Runners- 6
Approaching the 1800 metres, REVOLUTON (P. S. Chouhan) leaned inwards thereby inconveniencing FLAMING LAMBORGINI (A. Sandesh) along the rails. Jockey P S Chouhan has been cautioned.
After the race, CHASTITY was trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.5(40) –THE THANDA PLATE - DIVISION II: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 9
Trainer Nazzak B. Chenoy failed to produce her charge EMPOWER to the weighing scale to weigh, in spite of being told to do so. In view of this, she has been fined Rs.5,000/-
Approaching the 1100 metres, LOVE WARRIOR (P. S. Chouhan) shifted in thereby tightening TIME (Neeraj Rawal) along the rail. Jockey P S Chouhan has been fined Rs. 2,000/-
After the race, Jockey A. Sandesh (LETO) reported that his mount was running green.
The Equine Hospital reported that DUBAI SKYLINE had right eye injury and LETO had both eye injuries (sore).
RACE NO.6(41) –THE KUMAR R DALAL TROPHY: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 13
At the request of Trainer Dallas Todywalla, BEEMER was examined in the stables at 10.30 a.m. on 11/11/2021 and was found to have ulcer in his left eye, as such the gelding was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds and has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
GOSHAWK (N. S. Parmar, dr.1) jumped out slowly losing about 3 lengths at the start.
At the start, FALDO (T. S. Jodha, dr.8) jumped inwards onto DILBAR (App. Vishal N. Bunde, dr.7) who in turn shifted in and went across RISING BRAVE (Shahrukh Khan, dr.6) who was marginally slow to begin.
Approaching the 300 metres, BAKU (App. P. Vinod) was denied a clear passage and had to be checked.
Passing the 300 metres, BELENUS (App. P. S. Kaviraj) shifted out under urgings thereby forcing JETFIRE (Prashant P. Dhebe) outwards, due to which NORTHERN SINGER (App. A. S. Peter) racing on the haunches of JETFIRE had to be checked. After questioning, App. P. S. Kaviraj has been fined Rs.3,000/-.
An enquiry has been initiated into the running and riding of TRISTAR (Yash Narredu) and a report will be submitted shortly.
After the race, TRISTAR was trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.7(42) – THE THANDA PLATE - DIVISION I: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 10
RAFFEALLO (N. S. Parmar, dr.10) was reluctant to stall. As such, Trainer Dallas Todywalla has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the colt to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
Passing the 1200 metres, MY TREASURE (Yash Narredu) shifted in thereby tightening COMMANDMENT (T. S. Jodha) causing the latter to be checked and dropped back
Approaching the 300 metres, MY TREASURE (Yash Narredu) shifted in under urgings thereby bumping and boring COMMANDANT (T. S. Jodha) and ENJOY (Neeraj Rawal) as a result of which COMMANDMENT had to be checked and ENJOY brushed the railing and lost balance due to which Jockey Neeraj Rawal was forced to stop riding. The Stipendiary Stewards would be looking into this incident and a report will be submitted shortly.
After the race, ENJOY developed symptoms of Distress in the paddock area. However with the treatment the filly was improved and sent to the Equine hospital for further investigation and treatment. As such, the filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

RACE NO.8(43) –THE A J WADIA PLATE - DIVISION I: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 11
SUPREME BEING (R. Shelar) refused to stall despite substantial effort as such the gelding was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s order. In view of above and a similar behavior of the gelding, where he was last accepted to race and was withdrawn. Trainer Ivor Fernandes has been asked to show his charge in a mock race to the satisfaction of the Starter before next accepting to race.
In the final stages of the race, ON VA DANSER (Dashrath Singh) leaned inwards at the same time SANDRA’S SECRET (App. A. S. Peter) shifted out and they made contact.
After the race, MYTHICAL POWER was found to be sore by the left fore leg. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

The urine samples of the winner of the 3rd & 5th race, viz. CHEZZA & EMPOWER, and the special sample of SEASONS GREETINGS (1st race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.

ADDITIONAL REPORTS:
RE: ENQUIRY INTO THE RUNNING AND RIDING OF “BOLD LEGEND” IN RACE NO.30 - THE JEFFERSON PLATE – RUN ON 7TH NOVEMBER 2021:
In this connection, the Stewards of the Club heard App. Jockey P. S. Kaviraj and Trainer P. Shroff having viewed the video recording of the race, having deliberated the matter, the Stewards were not satisfied with the explanation tendered by App. Jockey P. S. Kaviraj and decided :-
1) to suspend his Jockey’s licence w.e.f. 28th November 2021 to 12th December 2021 (both days inclusive); (permitted to ride work/mock race) for failing to follow the Trainers instructions.
2) Further, to impose on him a suspended sentence of three days over the next two years i.e. if he is found guilty of failing to follow the Trainers instructions within the next two years commencing from 13th November, 2021, then the aforesaid suspended sentence of three days would immediately come into force and effect and which aforesaid punishment would be in addition to any other punishment which the Stewards may impose on him for any subsequent act of his as regards the aforesaid.
