RACE DAY REPORTS
RAILS WERE PLACED AT ITS ORIGINAL POSITION FROM 1600 METRES TO 1200 METRES, 3 METRES WIDE UPTO 600 METRES AND THEREAFTER 4 METRES WIDE UPTO THE WINNING POST. RAILS WERE PLACED 5.5 METRES WIDE IN THE CHUTE.
On a request from Trainer Karthik Ganapathy permission was granted to Trainer Sangramsinh N. Joshi to saddle his charge TRINKET in the 1st race and LORD VADER in the 2nd race, at his own (Trainer Karthik Ganapathy’s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO.1(10) –THE ATMOSPHERE PLATE - DIVISION II : (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 11
TRINKET was declared to run with all four aluminum shoes but ran with aluminium, both fore bonded shoes. Trainer Karthik Ganapathy has been fined Rs.1,000/- for his lapse.
MEMORABLE MOMENTS (S. Zervan, dr.4) and SHE IS ON FIRE (Neeraj Rawal, dr.7) jumped out slowly losing about four lengths each at the start. As such, Trainers Imtiaz A. Sait and Nirad Karanjawala have been asked to give their respective charge more gate practice and show them to the satisfaction of the Starter before next accepting to race.
After the race, MEMORABLE MOMENTS and PRINCIPESSA were trotted and found to be sound and IRISH EYES was found to be sore by the right fore leg.
The Equine Hospital reported that GREY FALCON had right eye injury (sore).
RACE NO.2(11) –THE ISHPINGO PLATE - DIVISION I: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 13
On the arrival at the start, at the request of Jockey Yash Narredu (UNCLAIMED TREASURE) his mount was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and found to be sore from the right hind. As such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and withdrawn before coming under Starter’s order. Trainer Altaf Hussain has been asked to get his charge fit by the Club’s Sr. V.O, before next accepting to race.
At the start, PRINCESS OF NAPLES (R. Shelar, dr.4) jumped inwards and made contact with DIVINE SOUL (M. Ayyar, dr.3).
At the start, ZARAK (Neeraj Rawal, dr.10) jumped outwards onto LORD VADER (Santosh G., dr.11)
Passing the 600 metres, EMPOWER (T. S. Jodha) leaned inwards on to DOC MARTIN (K. Nazil) who had to be steadied. Jockey T. S. Jodha has been cautioned.
Passing the 100 metres, Jockey K. Nazil (DOC MARTIN) was observed to have dropped his hands momentarily on questioning he stated that he lost his right stirrup which he regained thereafter.
After the race, Jockey Neeraj Rawal (ZARAK) reported that his mount hung-out throughout the race, despite his efforts. Trainer S. Waheed has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
After the race, Jockey K. Nazil (DOC MARTIN) reported that his mount hung-out in the straight. Trainer Nosher Cama has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
After the race, DOC MARTIN and ZARAK were trotted and found to be sound, DOC MARTIN was observed to have a gum injury.
RACE NO.3(12) – THE ROSMINI PLATE : (About) 1600 Metres – Runners - 11
On the way towards the start, JOHANNESBURG (S. Mosin) dislodged its rider and bolted off and ran the entire course. As such the gelding was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s order.
BEASTIA (K. Nazil, dr.12) was reluctant to stall and BOLD LEGEND (P. S. Chouhan, dr.11) planted in the stall and lost considerable grounds at the start. As such, Trainers Karthik Ganapathy and P. Shroff have been asked to give their respective charge more gate practice and show them to the satisfaction of the Starter before next accepting to race.
WINTER (App. P. Shinde, dr.8) jumped outwards and went onto AAH BELLA (Akshay Kumar, dr.9).
After the race, Jockey Neeraj Rawal (CIRCLE OF LOVE) reported that his mount hung-in under pressure in the straight. Trainer Imtiaz .A. Sait has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
After the race, BOLD LEGEND was trotted and found to be sound but observed to have a gum injury and JOHANNESBURG was found to have cut injury on all fore legs & left shoulder.
The Equine Hospital reported that BOLD LEGEND had right eye injury (sore).
RACE NO.4(13) –THE PORTRUSH PLATE : (About) 1400 Metres –Runners- 8
Passing the 300 metres, GIANT STAR (Yash Narredu) shifted out due to which VINCENZO (Prashant P. Dhebe) had to be steadied. Jockey Yash Narredu has been cautioned.
After the race, THUNDERCLAP was trotted and found to be sound but observed to have lost left fore shoe.
The Equine Hospital reported that TIGRIO & VINCENZO had left eye injuries (sore).
RACE NO.5(14) –THE F. S. REPORTER TROPHY: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 13
SUPREME BEING (R. Shelar, dr14) refused to stall despite substantial efforts as such the gelding was withdrawn before coming under Starter’s order. As such, Trainer Ivor Fernandes has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter before next accepting to race.
THEA’S PET (K. Nazil, dr.1) planted in the stall and lost considerable grounds at the start. In view of above and a similar behavior of the mare in her last start. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to give more gate practice and to show his charge in a mock race to the satisfaction o the Starter before next accepting to race.
At the start, PHOENIX SPIRIT (Raghuveer Singh, dr.12) jumped out throwing its head up thereby losing ground.
Approaching the 300 metres, ON VA DANSER (J. Chinoy) shifted out thereby bumping and forcing GRAND ARCHITECT (App. P. Shinde) outwards onto PHOENIX SPIRIT (Raghuveer Singh) who also had to be steadied. After questioning Jockey J. Chinoy and not being satisfied with the explanation tendered by him, his Jockey’s licence has been suspended for one day i.e. on 13th November 2021.
After the race, Jockey A. Sandesh (PRIDE’S ANGEL) reported that he was denied a clear passage in the straight and could not ride out to the complete advantage.
After the race, PRIDE’S ANGEL was trotted and found to be sound
The Equine Hospital reported that ON VA DANSER had right eye injury (sore) and THEA’S PET had left eye injury.
RACE NO.6(15) –THE ATMOSPHERE PLATE - DIVISION I: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 11
FARAHNOUSH (Yash Narredu, dr.1) jumped out slowly losing about 4 lengths at the start. As such, Trainer Asad Siddiqui has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the filly to the satisfaction of the Starter before next accepting to race.
The Equine Hospital reported that ROYAL CASTLE had left eye injury.
RACE NO.7(16) – THE AKKASAHEB MAHARAJ TROPHY (GRADE 3): (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 5
At the request of Trainer Altaf Hussain, SILVER FLAMES was examined in the stable area at 10.30 a.m. on 23/10/2021 and was found to be have sore from right hind, as such the gelding was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on veterinary grounds and has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race. Trainer Altaf Hussain has been asked to get his charge fit by the Club’s Sr. V.O, before next accepting to race.
Passing the 800 metres, FLYING VISIT (S. Zervan) racing on the haunches of HIDDEN GOLD (P. S. Chouhan) was observed to have stumbled due to the close proximity of the former.
RACE NO.8(17) –THE ISHPINGO PLATE - DIVISION II: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 14
EMERALD (Neeraj Rawal, dr.3) jumped out slowly losing about 5 lengths at the start. As such, Trainer P. Shroff has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the filly to the satisfaction of the Starter before next accepting to race.
At the start, SONG SONG BLUE (H. Zeeshan, dr.7) leaned inwards and made contact with TIESPES (Santosh G. dr.6)
Approaching the 1000 metres, DARWIN (Bhawani Singh) shifted out and went across WINSTAR (T. S. Jodha) causing the later to check. After questioning Jockey Bhawani Singh and not being satisfied with the explanation, he has been fined Rs. 3000/-
Passing the 900 metres, AGOSTINO CARRACCI (S. Zervan) racing on the haunches of FIDATO (Dashrath Singh) was tightened and had to be checked.
Passing the 200 metres, BLOOMSBURY (Akshay Kumar) was inclined outwards throughout the straight as a result went across and inconvenienced RAFFAELLO (Yash Narredu) on more than one occasions. On questioning, Jockey Akshay Kumar stated that his mount hung-out despite his efforts. Trainer Altaf Hussain has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
After the race, FETE ACCOMPLI was trotted and found to be sound and INDIAN CROWN had a cut injury on left hind pastern.
The Equine Hospital reported that MAGICAL RAYS had left eye injury (sore).
RACE NO.9(18) –THE LAGO MEDIO PLATE: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 14
FLASH FORCE (App. A. Prakash, dr.1) jumped out riderless. The Stipendiary Stewards would be looking into it and a report will be submitted shortly.
SILENT KNIGHT (R. Shelar, dr.13) jumped out slowly losing about two lengths at the start.
Passing the 900 metres, HELLBENT (A. Sandesh) shifted out and carried EL CAPITAN outwards. Jockey A. Sandesh has been cautioned.
Passing the 800 metres, riderless FLASH FORCE went onto WAYIN who had to be steadied thereafter approaching the 600 metres the riderless FLASH FORCE further shifted out thereby hampering and inconveniencing HELLBENT, WALSHY and SERGIO.
After the race, Jockey A. Sandesh (HELLBENT) reported his mount hung-in throughout the race, despite his efforts. Trainer A. M. Jadhav has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
On a complaint received from Jockey H. Zeeshan The Stipendiary Stewards are enquiring into the misconduct of Jockey S. Zervan and a report will be submitted shortly
After the race, HELLBENT was trotted and found to be sound
The Equine Hospital reported that SERGIO had both eye injuries.

The urine samples of the winner of the 1st & 8th race, viz. TRINKET & DARWIN, and the special sample of ZARAK (2nd race, placed 8th), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
The urine and blood samples of the IRON AGE & AUGUSTUS CAESAR (Winner & Second Place – 7th race) were collected for detection of prohibited substance.

ADDITIONAL REPORTS:
On a request from Jockey K. Nazil where he mentioned that he did not wish to appeal against the suspension imposed by the Stipendiary Stewards for careless riding on his mount GRAND SINATRA in race no.8 – The Nauvkhal Trophy Division I – run on Sunday, 17th October 2021 and requested to advance his suspension.
The same has been approved and his Jockeys licence will now be suspended on Saturday, 30th October 2021 (permitted to ride work/mock race) and not on Sunday, 7th November 2021.
