On a request from Trainer C.D.Katrak, permission was granted to Trainer S.Waheed to saddle his charges GENEROUS LADY (3rd race), SYMPHONIC (5th race) and POLLYANA (8th race), at his (Trainer C.D.Katrak’s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO.1(343) – THE GOODBYE PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 12
GUNGA DIN (J.Chinoy) played up in the stall. The gelding was taken out and examined by the Club’s V.O. who certified him fit to race. Also, it was observed that the Sheep Skin Nose Band on GUNGA DIN was broken. Since it was not a declared equipment, the same was removed. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
Approaching 150 metres, RIPOSTE (App.Jorawar Singh) shifted in and went across BIG BRO (App.G.Amit) who had to be checked.
After the race, SPEED MAGIC was found to be sore by the left fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
After the race, HOPE SPRINGS was observed to have broken a blood vessel. Being a second time bleeder, the colt is not to race for the stipulated ban period of eight weeks and has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
After the race, HOPE SPRINGS, GUNGA DIN and ARMEL were trotted and found to be sound. GUNGA DIN had a gum injury.
RACE NO.2(344) – THE ALLFORFUN PLATE: (About) 1600 Metres – Runners – 7
Trainer Rehanullah Khan has been fined Rs.2,000/- for producing his charges DAZZLING DANCER (App.Shahrukh Khan) and HEDWIG (A. Sandesh) late into the paddock.
After the race, SANS PEUR was observed to have lost its left fore plate. MAGIC IN THE AIR was trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.3(345) – THE GOODBYE PLATE (DIV.I): ( About) 1200 Metres – Runners – 13
MY FREEDOM (J.Chinoy) took a fly jump.
At the start, PRETTY IN PATPONG (App. N. Nadeem, dr.10) shifted out and made contact with LAS SALINAS (App.Santosh G, dr.12), inconveniencing the latter.
Approaching 1000 metres, SILVER EDGE (D.A.Naik) shifted out and went across AME (P.Trevor), thereby inconveniencing the latter. On questioning, Jockey D.A.Naik stated that he had changed course in an effort to avoid clipping the heels of SUPER ICON (App.S.A.Amit). As the same was not established on viewing the video recording. Jockey D.A.Naik has been cautioned.
At about 900 metres, LAS SALINAS (App.Santosh G.) shifted in thereby clipping the heels of YARDSTICK (T.S.Jodha) and dislodged the rider.
After the race, SIMON SAYS, WHITESOX and PRETTY IN PATPONG were trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.4(346) – THE RACING OFFICIALS TROPHY (DIV.II): (About) 1000 Metres – Runners - 14
At the request of Trainer Adil Dajee, BEYOND FORCES was examined at 1130 hours on 22/04/2016 and was found to be sore by the right hind leg, as such, the filly was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.
At the start, ASAHI (App.Shahrukh Khan, dr.14) jumped inwards and made contact with SONG OF AFRICA (App.Parbat Singh, dr.13), who had to be steadied.
At the start, SPANISH SAGA (Anil Baandal, dr.2) jumped outwards on to LOCARNO (App.D.M.Ayyar, dr.3), who in turn went on to RICH N RARE (App.S.A.Amit, dr. 4).
Soon after the start, ROSELLA (P.Trevor, dr.5) shifted in thereby tightening RICH N RARE (App.S.A.Amit, dr.4) who had to be checked.
Approaching 600 metres, MR MORRISON (App.D.R.Shubham) shifted out on to PRAELECTOR (Neeraj Rawal) who had to be steadied.
Passing 500 metres, REALITY (App.Akshay Gaikwad) shifted in on to ROSELLA (P.Trevor) thereby inconveniencing the latter.
Passing the 100 metres marker, WINDS OF CHANGE (Vikram Jodha) shifted in and made contact with SPEEDO (App.D.S.Daman) thereby inconveniencing the latter. Jockey Vikram Jodha has been cautioned.
After the race, SPANISH SAGA and MR MORRISON were trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.5(347) –THE DADY ADENWALLA TROPHY (DIV.II):(About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 13
At the request of Trainer Sanjay Kolse, INAAQ was examined at 0955 hours on 24/04/2016 and was found to be sore by the left fore leg, cast injury and swelling on the left fore knee. As such, the filly was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.
The Sr.V.O. reported that on arrival at the starting gate, AKKI’S PET was examined and found to be sore by the left fore leg, as such, the filly was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds, before coming under the Starter’s order. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.
At the start, SYMPHONIC (Neeraj Rawal, dr. 8) and HUNAYN (App.Jorawar Singh, dr. 9) were observed to have jostled.
At the start, ABU AL BUKHOOSH (M.A.Roushan, dr.12) and LUCAS (T.S.Jodha, dr.10) were observed to have jostled.
Soon after the start, LUCAS (T.S.Jodha) drifted out to the extreme outside and thereafter finished the race on the outer railing. After the race, Jockey T.S.Jodha reported that his mount hung out. Trainer Nazak Chenoy has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
After the race, App. Jorawar Singh (HUNAYN) reported that his mount hung out in the straight. Trainer Himmat Singh has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
After the race, Jockey A. Sandesh (RISING BRAVE) reported that his mount ran green.
After the race, HUNAYN, HURRICANE STORM, LUCAS, RIOT OF COLOURS and SILVER RIVER (examined on 25/04/2016), were trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.6(348) –THE RACING JOURNALISTS TROPHY:(About)1800 Metres – Runners - 15
MAGIC VISION (Kiran Naidu) jumped out slow, losing about 2 lengths at the start.
Passing 1400 metres,. CAVALIA (App.Vishal) was tightened and had to be checked due to a tightly packed field.
Jockey Arshad Alam ( RITZ) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. This being his third offence, if he applies for a Jockey’s license for the Season 2016/17, it will be granted to him, however, his license shall stand suspended w.e.f. 28th July, 2016 to 29th July, 2016 (both days inclusive) (permitted to ride work/mock race)..
After the race, MAGIC VISION was observed to have broken a blood vessel. Being a second time bleeder, the mare is not to race for the stipulated ban period of eight weeks and has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
After the race, MAGIC VISION and DIABLO were trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.7(349) – THE TATA HOUSING SEASON ENDING JUVENILE MULTI-MILLION:(About) 1400 Metres – Runners – 8
After the race, App.Yash Narredu (FURY) reported that his mount hung out from the 1000 metres onwards. Trainer M.Narredu has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.
An enquiry has been initiated into the running and riding of SUPREME GENERAL and a report will be submitted shortly.
After the race, SUPREME GENERAL was trotted and found to be sound.
MAKINO (T.S.Jodha) was placed fifth and SUPREME GENERAL (Neeraj Rawal) was placed sixth by the Judge, in this race.
RACE NO.8(350) – THE DADY ADENWALLA TROPHY (DIV.I): (About) 1200 Metres– Runners – 14
After being stalled, WINTER RENAISSANCE (Arshad Alam) played up and started lashing, as such, the filly was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s order. Trainer Imtiaz A.Sait has been asked to take remedial measures and show the filly to the satisfaction of the Starter in a Mock Race, before next accepting to race.
Passing 300 metres, COURTSHIP (P.Trevor) shifted out on to KING OF KILLEN (Neeraj Rawal) On questioning, Jockey P.Trevor stated that his mount hung out. Trainer P. Shroff has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.
In the final stages of the race, LADY COACHMAN (A.Sandesh) was observed to have maintained an erratic course. Trainer Faisal A.Abbas has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.
After the race, CAIELIN, COURTSHIP, LADY COACHMAN and ART DECO (examined on 25/04/2016), were trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.9(351) – THE RACING OFFICIALS TROPHY (DIV.I): (About) 1000 Metres– Runners – 15
At the request of Trainer Bezan Chenoy, ALFREDO was examined at 0800 hours on 24/04/2016 and was found to be sore by the left fore leg, as such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.
FOREVER YOURS (D.S.Daman) and IMPERIAL PRINCESS (N.Rawal) were restless in their stalls. Also, FOREVER YOURS jumped out slow, losing about 4 lengths at the start. Trainers Subhag Singh and Altaf Hussain have been asked to give their respective charge more gate practice and show them to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
Passing 400 metres, IMPERIAL PRINCESS (N.Rawal) shifted out on to EL WONDER (App.Raghuvee Singh) who had to be steadied.
After the race, DEMARCHE was found to be sore by the left fore leg. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
After the race, EL WONDER, PASS THE GLORY, AAMERICAN AGATTA and MT TIANMEN (examined on 25/04/2016), were trotted and found to be sound.

The post race urine sample of the winners of all races viz. MYTHICAL SUNRISE 1st race), SANS PEUR (2nd race), AME (3rd race), ROSELLA (4th race), SKY MINE (5th race), KOMANDANT (6th race) CARBONARA (7th race), COURTSHIP (8th race) and BARYSHNIKOV (9th race), and the special sample of SUPREME GENERAL (7th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.

ADDITIONAL REPORT:
RE: ENQUIRY INTO 1) THE COMPLAINT RECEIVED FROM APPRENTICE JAYKUMAR AGAINST JOCKEY S.ZERVAN FOR HITTING HIM ON THE HEAD IN THE JOCKEYS’ ROOM AFTER THE RUNNING OF THE EIGHT RACE OF THE DAY ON SATURDAY, 23RD APRIL, 2016 AND 2) JOCKEY S.ZERVAN’S RUDE BEHAVIOUR TOWARDS AN OFFICIAL OF THE CLUB :
The Stewards of the Club at their meeting held on Saturday, 23rd April, 2016 and thereafter on Sunday, 24th April, 2016 interviewed Jockey S.Zervan as also Apprentice Jaykumar who was accompanied by his Master, Tr.M.Narredu, in the above connection.
The Stewards of the Club heard Jockey S.Zervan as also Apprentice Jaykumar who was accompanied by his Master, Tr.M.Narredu. They also heard Mr.Kuleshwar Singh, Assistant Stipendiary Steward of the Club and viewed the video recording of Race No.341. Having heard all concerned and having deliberated the matter, the Stewards of the Club were not satisfied with the explanation tendered by Jockey S.Zervan and held him guilty of gross misconduct. He was informed that the Stewards appreciate that the safety of the Jockeys and Horses in a race is of prime importance and cases of interference will certainly be dealt with severely. However, if a Jockey is aggrieved for any reason, he has no right to take law into his own hand but has to report the incident to the Stipendiary Stewards who will look in the matter and take appropriate action. However, keeping in mind that Jockey S.Zervan had admitted his mistake and apologized for the same and assured the Stewards that he would not repeat this behavior, the Stewards took a lenient view and decided that should he apply for a Jockey’s license for the Season 2016/17, it will be granted to him, however, his license shall stand suspended w.e.f. 28th July, 2016 to 7th August, 2016 (both days inclusive) (permitted to ride work/mock race), Further, he was required to give a written apology to Mr.Kuleshwar Singh for his rude behavior and he was informed that a repetition of a similar offence will entail severe disciplinary action.

RE : APPEAL FROM TRAINER VINESH IN RESPECT OF THE FINE OF RS.20,000/- IMPOSED ON HIM BY THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS – ENQUIRY INTO THE COMPARATIVE PERFORMANCE OF “SHIVALIK ROSE” IN RACE NO.306 RUN ON 9TH APRIL, 2016 WHICH THE FILLY WON AS COMPARED TO HER RUN IN RACE NO.274 RUN ON 26TH MARCH, 2016 WHERE SHE WAS UNPLACED :
The Stewards of the Club at their meeting held on Sunday, 24th April, 2016 considered appeal dated 19th April, 2016 from Trainer Vinesh in the above connection. The Stewards of the Club considered all papers and proceedings before them including Trainer Vinesh’s grounds of appeal and having heard him and his Spokesman, Mr.Peter Deubet, decided to partially allow the appeal and to reduced the fine to Rs.15,000/-.

RE:ENQUIRY INTO THE COMPLAINT RECEIVED FROM JOCKEY S. S. RATHORE FOR HITTING HIM WITH AN IRON ROD AFTER MORNING TRACK WORK ON 24TH MARCH, 2016 WHICH HE ADMITTED BEFORE THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS :
The Stewards of the Club at their meeting held on Sunday, 17th April, 2016 interviewed Jockeys T.Mahesh and S.S.Rathore in the above connection. The Stewards of the Club heard Jockey T.Mahesh as also Jockey S.S.Rathore who was accompanied by his Witness, Jockey Dharmender and having deliberated the matter, the Stewards were not satisfied with the explanation tendered by Jockey T.Mahesh and held him guilty of gross misconduct on the premises of the race course. However, keeping in mind that he had admitted his guilt and tendered a written apology for the same, the Stewards took a lenient view and decided to suspend his Jockey’s license with immediate effect i.e. from 18th April, 2016 to 24th April, 2016. Thereafter, should he apply for a Jockey’s license for the Season 2016/17, it will be granted to him, but his license shall stand suspended with effect from 28th July, 2016 to 20th August, 2016 (both days inclusive). Further, he was warned that on a repetition of a similar offence, very severe action will be initiated against him. Jockey T.Mahesh was told that during the period of his suspension he is not permitted to ride work/mock race, he is not permitted to attend racing, on course or off course or to reside on the premises of the racecourse.
