RACE DAY REPORTS
RAILS WERE PLACED 5 METRES AWAY FROM ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1600 METRES (MILE CHUTE) TO 1200 METRES, 6 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES AND THEREAFTER 8 METRES AWAY UP TO THE WINNING POST. FOR THE RACES STARTING FROM THE BACK STRETCH, RAILS WERE PLACED FROM ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1200 METRES LEADING TO 6 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES.
On a request from Trainer Rehanullah Khan, permission was granted to Trainer Altamaash A.Ahmed to saddle his charges RESILIENT & DAISHONIN in the 1st and 7th race respectively, at his (Trainer Rehanullah Khan’s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO.1(15) – THE ALVARITA PLATE: (About) 1000 Metres – Runners - 11
Trainer S.S.Shah has been fined Rs.1,000/- for not being present during the saddling of his charge GOOD MEMORY.
Jockey C.S.Jodha (HOME FACTOR) has been fined Rs.1,000/- for having weighed out late for the race.
At the start, PEZZONOVANTE (App.Akshay Gaikwad, dr. 6) took a fly jump and went on to MOUNTAIN TREASURE (App.N.Nadeem dr. 5).
At the start, GOOD MEMORY (T.S.Jodha, dr.7) shifted out and went on to WIND OF THE HILLS (N.S.Parmar, dr.8).
Passing 900 meters, POLAR ZONE (App.S.J.Sunil) shifted in and went across EARTH QUAKE (Vikram Jodha). Apprentice S.J.Sunil has been cautioned.
App.S.J.Sunil (POLAR ZONE) reported the loss of whip at about 400 metres.
An enquiry has been initiated into the running and riding of PEZZONOVANTE and a report will be submitted shortly.
RACE NO.2(16) – THE M.H.AHMEDBHOY TROPHY : (About) 2000 Metres – Runners - 4
Approaching 300 metres, JIGSAW (App.Yash Narredu) leaned inwards under pressure on to GLORIOUS OPINION (App.S.J.Sunil).
Passing 100 metres, GLORIOUS OPINION (App.S.J.Sunil) shifted out under the use of the whip on to JIGSAW (App.Yash Narredu). Apprentice S.J.Sunil has been cautioned.
After the race, JIGSAW was found to be sound.
RACE NO.3(17) – THE STAR PRINCESS PLATE (DIV.II) : (About) 1200 Metres – Runners – 16
At the start, MAJESTIC LIGHT (R.Shelar, dr. 2) shifted out on to RASHEEKA (S.Zervan, dr. 3).
At the start, LIGHT FORCE (App.Bhawani Singh, dr. 7) shifted out on to VENI VIDI VICI (Amyn Merchant, dr. 8) who in turn shifted out on to MORAG (Vikram Jodha, dr. 9).
At the start, DELTIN (App.Jaykumar, dr.12) shifted out on to FAST FUTURE (C.S.Jodha, dr.13) and thereafter shifted in and cut across JOY OF LIFE (S.Mosin, dr.11) and MORAG (Vikram Jodha, dr.9). App.Jaykumar has been cautioned.
Approaching the Red Marker, MAJESTIC LIGHT (R.Shelar, dr.2) shifted out and made contact with SIDDHI (App.D.M.Ayyar, dr. 4) and thereafter further shifted out and made contact with ROCKING (S.G.Prasad. dr.5). Jockey R. Shelar has been cautioned.
Passing 900 metres, YARDSTICK (Kishore Kadam) shifted in and went across SIDDHI (App.D.M.Ayyar).
Passing 300 metres, WIND AND RAIN (App.N.Nadeem) dropped back, due to which SIDDHI (App.D.M.Ayyar) was held up for a run. Thereafter, approaching 100 metres, SIDDHI (App.D.M.Ayyar) was further tightened behind YARDSTICK (Kishore Kadam).
After the race Jockey S. Zervan (RASHEEKA) reported that the filly felt uncomfortable in the straight and therefore he stopped riding. The Stipendiary Stewards would be looking into the matter.
Trainer S K Sunderji and App D M Ayyar along with his master Trainer Mallesh Narredu were questioned into the running and riding of SIDDHI. After hearing the submissions made, viewing the video of the race and keeping in mind that both the Trainers were of the opinion that the Apprentice had ridden an illjudged race due to his inexperience and also considering that he had no room after he was committed to make his run on the inside, no action has been initiated against App.D.M.Ayyar. However, in the best interest of the Apprentice, he has been recommended to improve his riding skills under the Riding Instructor, before next accepting a ride.
After the race, MORAG was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The colt has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.
After the race, FAST FUTURE was observed to have a cut injury at the left fore coronet and JOY OF LIFE had a cut injury at the right hind pastern. RASHEEKA, CICITALIA and BIG BRO were found to be sound.
RACE NO.4(18) – THE SMART CHIEFTAN TROPHY : (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 6
Passing 800 metres, QUICK FIRE (S.Zervan) shifted in on to AGELESS (D.K.Ashish) who was tightened for room and dropped back.
Approaching 600 metres, Jockey D.K.Ashish (AGELESS) tried to take a gap alongside QUICK FIRE (S.Zervan) and as there was insufficient room he was forced to check and drop back.
Jockey D.K.Ashish (AGELESS) has been fined Rs.1,000/- for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.
An enquiry has been initiated into the running and riding of AGELESS and a report will be submitted shortly.
The Stipendiary Stewards would also be enquiring into the interferences received by AGELESS.
After the race, AGELESS was found to have a cut injury at the left fore cannon.
RACE NO.5(19) – THE ASTANA PLATE: (About) 1800 Metres – Runners - 10
JORDANA (App.Yash Narredu) was fractious whilst being stalled. Also, the filly took a fly jump losing about 2 lengths at the start. Trainer M.Narredu has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
Passing 300 metres, TENNESSEE (App.S.J.Sunil) was observed to have shifted out on to SABIQ (Dashrath Singh ) and DEM SAO(Neeraj Rawal) and thereafter maintained an erratic course. App.S.J.Sunil has been cautioned.
After the race, SOU’WESTER and JORDANA were found to be sound.
RACE NO.6(20) – THE ALGECIRAS PLATE: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 10
At the start, MALEFICENT (P.S.Chouhan) shifted in on to AN JOLIE (D.K.Ashish) who in turn went on to LOGANO (App.N.B.Kuldeep) forcing the latter to check and drop back. Jockey P.S.Chouhan has been cautioned.
Apprentice S.J.Sunil (SHANIA) has been fined Rs.1,000/- for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.
RACE NO.7(21)– THE STAR PRINCESS PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 16
After being stalled, GRACE AND MERCY (T.S.Jodha) played up in the stall. The gelding was taken out and examined by the Club’s V.O. who certified him fit to race. Trainer S.S.Shah has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
Passing 1000 metres, ICE AFFAIR (Hanumant Singh) who was racing between JACKNIFE (D.K.Ashish) and BAY OF LOVE (App.Akshay Gaikwad), was tightened for room and dropped back.
At the top of the straight, AURELIO (S.Zervan) was observed to be racing in the middle of the course and thereafter further shifted out and finished the race on the wide outside.
The Sr.V.O. reported that AURELIO was examined at the stables in the morning on 27/11/2015 and found to be sore by the right hind leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

The post race urine sample of the winners of all races viz. CUT DIAMOND (1st race), SAKER (2nd race), VENI VIDI VICI (3rd race), PROVIDENCE (4th race), HEATHER (5th race), MALEFICENT (6th race) and PHOENIX CAT (7th race), as also that of JIGSAW (2nd race) and AGELESS (4th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
