RACE DAY REPORTS
FALSE RAILS WERE PLACED 8 METRES WIDE FROM 1600 METRES TILL 1000 METRES. THEREAFTER 4 METRES WIDE TILL 550 METRES AND 3 METRES WIDE UPTO THE WINNING POST. THE STARTING GATES WERE POSITIONED AS MEASURED BY THE RODOMETER.
On a request from Trainer Mansoor Shah, permission was granted to Trainer Sangramsinh N.Joshi to saddle his charges GATES OF HEAVEN & SUPER ICON in the 4th & 7th race respectively, at his (Trainer Mansoor Shah’s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO.1(215) – THE NITROUS PLATE: (About)1400 Metres – 10 Runners
Jockey P.S.Chouhan, the declared rider of CHINOOK has been fined Rs.3,000/- for reporting late to the Weighing Room which also resulted in the horse being brought late into the Parade Ring.
At the start, NOBLE EXPRESS (H.G.Rathod) was inconvenienced.
MIGHTY SPLENDOR (Kavraj Singh) lugged-in during the race whereby the Jockey found it difficult to ride out his mount. Trainer S.Mangalorkar has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the mare.
Approaching 400 metres, STRAIGHT SIX (App.Bhawani Singh) shifted in and inconvenienced IRIDESCENCE (Vikam Jodha). App.Bhawani Singh has been cautioned.
STRAIGHT SIX (App.Bhawani Singh) leaned outwards in the final stages of the race. Trainer Hosidar Daji has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
After the race, STRAIGHT SIX was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
After the race, ARGYLE PINK was found to be sound, but having a cut injury at the left hock. IRIDESCENCE had a cut injury at the left hind fetlock. NOBLE EXPRESS, CHINOOK and NATIONAL STAR were found to be sound.
RACE NO.2(216) – THE E d’AVOINE TROPHY: (About) 1600 Metres – 6 Runners
Near 1400 metres, ULTIMATE GLORY (Dashrath Singh) went on to MARQUET (Malcolm Kharadi) who in turn went on to BURLESQUE (P.Trevor). Jockey Dashrath Singh has been cautioned.
ULTIMATE GLORY (Dashrath Singh) lugged-in in the straight. Trainer Dallas Todywalla has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
After the race, ROUBLESHA and ULTIMATE GLORY were found to be sound.
RACE NO.3(217) – THE YOGENDER SINGH TROPHY (DIV.II): (About) 1400 Metres – 10 Runners
Near 1300 metres, CHA CHA CHA (Dashrath Singh) shifted-in and tightened SUMMER EXPRESS (A.Sandesh), who went on to ZOLTAN (App.Bhawani Singh), who in turn tightened GYAHANA (Kishore Kadam). In view of the repeated offences of this nature, Jockey Dashrath Singh has been fined Rs.10,000/- and severely cautioned.
RACE NO.4(218) – THE D.N.ZODGE PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1200 Metres – 15 Runners
GATES OF HEAVEN (D.A.Naik) jumped out awkwardly throwing its head and veered to the outside thus losing considerable ground at the start. Trainer Mansoor Shah has been asked to give the mare more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
Near 100 metres, Jockey Kishore Kadam (ADVANCE TO CONTACT) lost his whip in an attempt to regain his lost reins.
App.R.Ajinkya (RECKLESS) reported that his mount was shying away from horses and ran scared.
Jockey Vikram Jodha (MY FREEDOM) has been cautioned for tender handling of his mount during the race.
After the race, DYNA, MY FREEDOM, RECKLESS and BEAU ROYALE (examined on 19/10/2014) were found to be sound. RESILIENT had lost its left fore plate.
RACE NO.5(219) – THE JONTY RHODES PLATE: (About) 1600 Metres – 7 Runners
Soon after the start, JANIIS JAY (D.K.Ashish, dr.5) shifted in marginally on to CACTUS CASH (App.Yash Narredu, dr.4) who went on to HONEST PLEASURE (App.Bhawani Singh, dr.3) who in turn jostled with CELTIC KING (App.R.Ajinkya, dr.2). Jockey D.K.Ashish has been cautioned.
After the race, JANIS JAY was found to be sound.
RACE NO.6(220) – THE PEGASUS TROPHY: (About) 1400 Metres – 11 Runners
Jockey P.Trevor (RULE DOWNUNDER) reported that his mount was sluggish in the early part of the race and responded only in the final stages of the race.
Jockey S.P.Ranjane (ESSENCE OF LOVE) reported that the pace of the race was too fast for his mount and he could not keep up with the pace.
After the race, DURER and ESSENCE OF LOVE were found to be sound.
RACE NO.7(221) – THE GOEL GANGA GROUP SUPER SPRINT: (About) 1200 Metres – 9 Runners
At the start, SUPER ICON (D.A.Naik, dr.3) jumped awkwardly to the outside, due to which CAPTAIN ABDON (Kavraj Singh, dr.4) shifted-out, and at the same time, ZAMBIAN (D.K.Ashish, dr.5) jumped awkwardly inwards and made contact with CAPTIAN ABDON and due to the impact, ZAMBIAN was unbalanced and shifted-out and then shifted-in.
Jockey D.K.Ashish (ZAMBIAN) reported that due to interference at the start, he lost his right stirrup which he regained near 800 metres.
At the start, FLANKER (P.S.Chouhan) fly jumped and was unbalanced momentarily.
Near 900 metres, COLD PLAY (P.Trevor) was inconvenienced while racing behind FLANKER (P.S.Chouhan) and lost position, due to which BEYOND INTENSITY (App.Yash Narredu) who was following, was also inconvenienced.
Near 800 metres, ZAMBIAN (D.K.Ashish) became unbalanced while racing on the inside of CAPTAIN ABDON (Kavraj Singh).
Passing 200 metres, BEYOND INTENSITY (App.Yash Narredu) stumbled on its own.
Jockey Dashrath Singh (WITHOUT FEAR) reported that his mount was inclined to lug-in. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.
ZAMBIAN (D.K.Ashish) lugged-in in the straight. Trainer Rehanullah Khan has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
After the race, STROGANAOFF was observed to have an abrasion at the left hind fetlock. ZAMBIAN and WITHOUT FEAR were found to be sound.
RACE NO.8(222) – THE YOGENDER SINGH TROPHY (DIV.I): (About) 1400 Metres – 10 Runners
CROSSFIRE (I.Pasha) lost about 2 lengths at the start.
Near 1000 metres, MOUNTAIN QUEEN (S.G.Prasad) slowed down the pace, due to which STARRY BROOK (A.Sandesh) who was following, was steadied which resulted in STAYING ALIVE (Dashrath Singh) being steadied behind STARRY BROOK. Due to this incidence, CROSSFIRE (I.Pasha) who was alongside STAYING ALIVE, suddenly shied away and drifted out and carried THE OTHER SONG (P.S.Chouhan) and CYCLOPS (Kavraj Singh) outwards.
Jockey S.Mosin (MAMBO MAGIC) reported that his mount became unbalanced near the 1000 metres patch.
After the race, STAYING ALIVE was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
After the race, STARRY BROOK was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.
After the race, COOL RUNNINGS was found to be sound, but having a gum injury. NATALIAN EXPRESS had an abrasion at the right hind bulb of heel. MOUNTAIN QUEEN, CROSSFIRE and THE OTHER SONG were found to be sound.
RACE NO.9(223) – THE D.N.ZODGE PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1200 Metres – 13 Runners
EMERALD FORTUNE (S.Mosin) got loose on the way to the start and bolted riderless. As per the procedure, the Trainer was called and with his consent the horse was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s Order.
After the race, CON MAN and EMERALD FORTUNE were found to be sound.

The post race urine sample of the winner of 3rd, 4th, 7th & 8th race viz. CHA CHA CHA, CLASSIC MOMENT, STROGANOFF and NATALIAN EXPRESS, and the special sample of STRAIGHT SIX (1st race), ESSENCE OF LOVE (6th race) and STAYING ALIVE & STARRY BROOK (8th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
